<![CDATA[Based on the results of observations and interviews, the researchers found that writing a narrative was boring for students, so the researchers added Audio Visual media in writing student narrative texts. This type of research is quantitative with the method used in the research method of pre-experimental design with a one-shot case study design. The results of the research that has been carried out can be seen that (1) the students' ability to use the structure before using audio-visual media in writing narrative texts is at a low qualification with an average value of 45.96, after using audiovisual media with structures in writing narrative texts is in good qualification, with an average value of 76.61 (2) the ability of students with linguistic elements before using audio visual media in writing narrative texts is in almost sufficient qualification, with an average value of 50, after using audio visual media with linguistic elements in writing narrative text, the qualification is almost sufficient, with an average score of 55.64 (3) the ability to write narrative text with capital letters and punctuation marks before using audio-visual media is in poor qualification, with an average value of 40.13, after using audio-visual media is in almost sufficient qualification with an average score of 55.65 (4) overall The ability to write narrative texts before using audio-visual media with a sample of 31 students is classified as lacking with an average value of 46.16, after using audio-visual media the students' ability to write narrative texts with a total of 31 students is classified as good, with an average value of an average of 62.93, this value is in the qualification.]]>

<![CDATA[The background of the problem in this research is Nagari Muaro Paneh Bukit Sundi Kabupaten Solok is the background in this research people use Minangkabau language in everyday speech. Speeches containing figurative meanings contained very rarely spoken by the community, some younger generations lack the understanding of the figurative meanings contained. The custom of malala gala still gets its place in the middle of society and always done in every traditional ceremony. In addition, a small proportion of the younger generation are still willing to learn about Malewa Traditional gala. The purpose of this research is to describe the meaning in the metaphor in the text of Malewa Gala Batagak Panghulu customary speech in Nagari Muaro Paneh Bukit Sundi Kabupaten Solok. This research type is qualitative research by using descriptive method. The object of research is the text of Malewa Gala Batagak Panghulu customary speech in Nagari Muaro Paneh Bukit Sundi Kabupaten Solok. The research findings of figurative meanings are improper meanings, the language is based on figures. The figurative meaning is conveyed in the text of the Malewa tradition of Gala Batagak Panghulu. In the data that has been obtained in the research, that on the meaning of metaphor in the text of custom speech Malewa Gala Batagak Panghulu in Nagari Muaro Paneh Bukit Sundi Subdistrict Solok Regency there are 140 where there are 7 idiom data idiom meaning that is 5 full idioms and 2 partial idiom data, meaning kias phrases contain 13 which are entirely word or group of distinctive words to express something meanings with the meaning of the metaphor of data and the meaning of the maxim of the proverbs there are 120 data which 6 including the proverbial thimbles, the proverbial proverbs, the 50 proverbs, 2 proverbs of the parable, and 17 including proverbs are like. Suggested community leaders in order to preserve and socialize the values ​​contained in the figurative meaning in the text of Malewa Gala Batagak traditional speech Panghulu.]]>

<![CDATA[Homosexuality is also known as a disease or mental disorder. As a disease of course must be given treatment, so that the disease can be cured. However, based on Indonesian culture, it is considered that homosexuality is something that is deviant or something that is not normal. For this reason, in this study, we will discuss how these deviations form. The deviation in question is the dystonic ego in the novel Maroon (Luka the Writer) by Asrini Mahdia. In conducting this study, the researcher used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method with content analysis techniques. The results of this study are sexual deviations that occur in the main character (I) with a dystonic ego. However, after meeting a very kind and caring woman, my character begins to feel uncomfortable with her sexual orientation (homosexual ego dystonic), namely the homosexual attitude or behavior found in my character caused by past trauma, not getting love from parents, etc. Homosexuals that occur in the main character (I) tend to be ego dystonic homosexuals. Because before becoming a homosexual, my character was a normal man.]]>

<![CDATA[This type of research uses research and development (R&D). Design and research development procedures using a 2-D model, namely define, design. In the validation process, the multimedia multimedia shooting game was validated by 2 experts. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, multimedia shooting game letters for the introduction of children's alphabet letters, which has obtained an assessment percentage of 82.99%, with a very valid category. The results obtained that the multimedia shooting game for letter recognition of the children's alphabet has been valid according to experts, used as a learning medium for Grade 1 Elementary School students.]]>

<![CDATA[The tradition of going down the bath is not something that is done without the meaning behind it. A group of people carry out a custom or tradition without knowing the meaning of the custom itself which results in the community not understanding about the customs themselves. Therefore, it is feared that people's ignorance of these customs and especially the influence of foreign cultures into regional cultures, so that the cultural values contained in them will fade slowly. This research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The findings of the semiotics review study are signs, emblems, and cues. Semiotic surveys are found in a series of events in the tradition of going down and down bathing in Tanah Garam Village of Solok City. In the data that has been obtained in the study, that the semiotics review of the series of events in the tradition of going down the bath in Tanah Garam Village of Solok City there are 59 data in total, signs (sign) there are 21 data, symbols (symbols) are contained 19 data, and the signal (signal/index) contained 19 data. The three components are interconnected signs, symbols, and signal in the study of semiotics cannot be separated from each other.]]>

<![CDATA[The background of the research is about the analysis of speech act characters in Cinta 2 Kodi Novel (Pragmatic Study) because in the novel a lot of dialogue can be included into directive speech act category. The purpose of this research is to describe the analysis of directive speech act of characters in Cinta 2 Kodi Novel by Asma Nadia which is requestives speech act, question speech act, requirement speech act, probobitives speech act, permissive speech act, and advisories speech act. This research is a qualitative research. In the research, it is found 104 data about the analyze of directive speech act in Cinta 2 Kodi novel, which is 11 requestives speech act, 39 question speech act, 27 requirement speech act, 1 probobitives speech act, 3 permissives speech act, and 23 advisories speech act. From the result of the research, it is clear that the most prominent speech act used is question speech act. This is caused by the question speech act is always occurs in every communication between the speaker and the speaker partner. Every interaction in communicating always requires an answer or explanation. That what makes question speech act is always prominent in every conversation. The result of this research also proved that every communication between 2 people (speaker and speaker partner) will success if thw speaker partner understand what the speaker try to deliver.]]>

<![CDATA[Debate activities can also involve emotions. In linguistics, conveying the meaning of speech contains an element of emotion called emotive meaning. For this reason, the meaning of emotive is studied in the first round of public debates for the candidates for Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Solok in 2020. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive method to explain the emotive meaning used by pairs of candidates in debating. The emotive meaning studied is influenced by phonetic factors, slogans, emotive derivation, evaluation elements, emotive values, and evocative values. Of these six emotive meanings, the evaluation element that often appears is used by speakers in debating. This is because, the speaker gave an assessment of the previous leadership's performance related to all infrastructure fields in Solok City. The purpose of the speaker to bring up the evaluation element in his speech is to stand out, provide information, give the speaker strength, so that the people of Solok City can choose to replace the previous leadership position.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the skills of writing review texts using audio-visual media for class VIII students of SMPN 3 X Koto Singkarak in the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. This type of research is quantitative using a descriptive method. The sample of this research is the students of class VIII SMPN 3 X Koto Singkarak, totaling 30 people. The sampling technique is based on percentage random sampling (proportional random sampling) whose method of withdrawal is based on the proportion of the number of students per class. Data collection techniques in the form of performance tests. Data analysis techniques include reading, checking and scoring student test results, converting raw scores into grades, classifying student scores on a scale of 10, making histograms, and concluding research results in the form of a thesis. The results of the research on writing review text skills using audio visual media, the average value of students' ability in writing review texts using audio visual media on the work identity structure is 85.53 which is in very good qualification, on the orientation structure is 78.85 is in good qualification, in the synopsis structure, 88.87 is in very good qualification, in the analysis structure, 68.86 is in more than adequate qualification, in the evaluation structure 71.07 is in more than adequate qualification. It can be explained that the students of SMPN 3 X Koto Singkarak are able to write a review text correctly. Based on the above qualifications, it can be concluded that the skills of writing review texts using audio-visual media students of class VIII SMPN 3 X Koto Singkarak in the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year are in good qualifications with a mastery level of 76-85% with an average score of 78.40 .]]>

<![CDATA[The background of this research is to explore and examine more deeply related to syntax acquisition in children aged 5 years by focusing attention on the development of syntax acquisition and sentence structure when children are at their pride. This study aims to describe the acquisition of syntax for 5 year old children in Kenagarian Koto Baru, Kubung District, Solok Regency (Psycholinguistic Study). This type of research is qualitative using descriptive method. The research subject was a girl named Hidayatul Hafidzah (HH) when she was 5 years old. The data for this study were obtained from data sources in the form of conversational texts produced by preschool-aged children. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews, observation, documentation and audiovisual techniques which contained utterances in each speech event. The data analysis technique used in this study is in the form of sentences conveyed by children based on their functions in HH's daily speech. The steps taken by researchers in managing data are reducing data, identifying data, classifying data, analyzing data, and concluding the data obtained. Data were analyzed based on the forms and functions that exist in the language of children aged 5 years. Based on research findings obtained in the field found 65 data. Language elements included in the scope of syntax are (a) phrases, (b) clauses divided into two parts, namely independent clauses and dependent clauses and (c) sentences divided into three parts, namely declarative sentences, imperative sentences, and interrogative sentences. So, the most frequently found syntax acquisition sentences. This is because it is evident from the utterances found by Hidayatul Hafidzah (HH) that are realized in the form of multiwords.]]>
