The type of research conducted by the author is quantitative research research, the population in this study is students of State Vocational High School 5 Tangerang Regency while the sampling technique uses the Slovin formula. In this study, researchers will take random samples with experimental classes that have implemented youth education, namely eleventh grade (XI) and twelfth grade (XII) while tenth grade (X) is a control class because they have not attended youth education. The data retrieval technique uses a questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale and the data is processed and analyzed with statistical techniques using the SPSS version 26 program application. After the test results obtained a Sig. value of 0.000 0.05 and a calculated t value of 142.294 t table 0.67700, it can be decided that there is an influence of independent variables on the dependent. The magnitude of the influence of the experiment variable 0.952 x 100 = 95.2 % is influenced by the variable X, and the comparison variable or control class calculation 0.562 x 100 = 56.2%. This proves that there is a significant influence between youth education on student discipline at State Vocational High School 5 Tanagerang Regency.

Abstract

This paper focused on coverage of prostate cancer issues by select mainstream newspapers in Nigeria. The aims were to: Find out the frequency of coverage given to prostate cancer issues in Nigerian newspapers, determine the level of prominence given to prostate cancer issues in Nigerian newspapers and ascertain the story formats that are predominant in the coverage of prostate cancer issues in Nigerian newspapers. This study adopted content analysis method and two mainstream newspapers were selected in Nigeria; The Guardian and Vanguard newspapers. The period of study was six months (March 1st to August 31st, 2022). The findings revealed that the select newspapers did not report prostate cancer issues adequately and frequently in Nigerian newspapers. Further findings showed that 88% of the stories on prostate cancer were placed on the inside pages of the newspapers. Thus, the issue was not given prominence. Also, straight news format was predominantly used by the two newspapers in reporting prostate cancer in Nigeria. The study concludes that prostate cancer issues were not given adequate coverage and prominence during the period of study in Nigerian newspapers. Against this backdrop, the researchers recommended that Nigerian newspapers should report more news stories on prostate cancer in Nigeria using feature news format and in-depth interpretation. This will make the public to be informed and educated, thereby taking precautionary measures to curtail or prevent prostate cancer.

Abstract

This study aims to study the leaching of semen and the level of soy bean lecithin (Soybean lecithin) in relation to the quality of sheep spermatozoa preserved at 5OC. The study used a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) factorial pattern of 2 x 5 x 3. As the first factor is cement washing (P), consisting of P0 = Fresh cement without washing and P1 = Fresh cement undergoes a washing process. The second factor is the level of soy bean lecithin (L), consisting of L0, L1, L2, L3, and L4. Independent variables are cement washing (P) and soybean lasitin levels (L). As a dependent variable is the quality of spermatozoa at a storage temperature of 5⁰C, which consists of progressive motility, viability, abnormality and intergrity of the spermatozoa membrane. The results of the study obtained that the treatment of cement leaching and soy bean lecithin levels together did not show any noticeable interaction, however, single-seeded lecithin levels showed markedly different influences (P≤0.05) and the washing treatment showed no noticeably different influence on all quality parameters of sheep spermatozoa during five days of storage at 5⁰C. The use of soy bean lecithin as a component of sheep cement extenders is effective against samples of unwashed cement or washed cement. The best quality of sheep spermatozoa was obtained at the treatment of 3% soy bean lecithin levels in Tris extenders against washed and unwashed semen preserved for five days of storage at 5oC with an average progressive motility percentage of 63.18%; viability 72.20%; abnormality 12.43%; and membrane integrity of 72.92%.

Abstract

This study examined the subjugation and objectification of women in Nigerian films produced in the 21st Century to determine whether the representations of women have changed at the turn of the Century. The objectives of this study were to find out the extent of subjugation of women in Nollywood films in the 21st Century and determine the extent of objectification of women in Nollywood films in the 21st Century. This study was anchored on the feminist muted group theory. The design adopted was a mixed-method approach that combined content analysis and in-depth interviews. The researchers focused on Nollywood films produced from 2000 to 2021 that have women playing leading or supporting roles. A total of 22 films were coded and eleven film experts and scholars were interviewed. It was found that women were not significantly subjugated in Nigerian films produced in the 21st century. However, women are still highly sexually objectified in Nigerian films produced in the 21st century. They are portrayed in a way that viewers can make judgments about them based on their physical appearance and their sex appeal. It was recommended that the Nigerian Film and Video Censors' Board must play its part in reducing the incidence of female objectification in Nigerian films by putting Objectification (O) as a film classification element, in the same breath as Nudity, Strong Language, and Violence (NSL).

Abstract

Allegedly, based on the diversity of the maritime by Indonesia, our country has a very potential wealth of marine resources. These resources can be utilized for its used as blue econommy approach. This country’s marine resources that can be utilized as a national economic potential is a salt industry. With the wealth of the saline water that we have, Indonesia is still importing salt because there is an imbalance between demand and domestic production. The purpose of this journal is to find out the potential for briny ponds in Indonesia to be used to reduce the dependence on national imports. To handle this problem, there are several efforts to maximize our national productions of saline pond in Nagekeo District, East Nusa Tenggara (Nusa Tenggara Timur). Along with the modernization and technology, there is several branches of innovation and technology to increase the effectiveness of Indonesia’s Sea Salt Industry such as Geomembrane Prism House, Vertical Axis Mill Pump, and the Smart House Salt Maker (SHASA). By adopting these technologies, it is expected that the production of marine salt farmers will be able to severely reduce salt imports and make Indonesia a successful and independent maritime country.
