Abstract

The ability of young children to ask questions and reflect on their learning experiences serves as an early indicator of deep learning processes. This study aims to explore the types of questions and reflections that naturally emerge in early childhood classrooms and to identify the teacher's role in facilitating these processes as seeds of deep learning implementation. The research was conducted at PAUD Kunang-Kunang, located in Cipanas District, Cianjur Regency, using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with the classroom teacher. The findings reveal that children are capable of posing reflective questions related to their personal experiences and demonstrate an emerging awareness of their learning processes. Teachers actively encourage open-ended questioning, provide space for exploration, and respond constructively to children's reflections. These results indicate that in the PAUD context, there are promising signs or seeds of deep learning practices that can be further cultivated through responsive, reflective, and meaningful learning design.

Abstract

The issuance of Supreme Court Circular (SEMA) No. 2 of 2023 marks a paradigm shift in Indonesian family law, moving from judicial activism that allowed loopholes for interfaith marriages to strict administrative restrictions banning the practice. This study aims to analyze the juridical implications of the Circular by juxtaposing two diametrical perspectives: the doctrine of religious protection (Hifz al-Din) and constitutional rights. This is normative legal research employing statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate that: (1) SEMA No. 2 of 2023 serves as a state manifestation of Sadd al-Dzarai (preventive measure) to maintain theological purity and prevent ambiguity in child lineage status (Hifz anNasl); (2) Within the Indonesian legal system, the right to form a family (Article 28B of the 1945 Constitution) is categorized as a derogable right, restricted by religious values as stipulated in Article 28J paragraph (2); (3) While the Circular establishes legal certainty and judicial uniformity, it potentially triggers legal resistance in the form of law smuggling (fraus legis) through overseas marriages or sham religious conversions. The study concludes that SEMA No. 2 of 2023 reaffirms Indonesia's position as a theistic nation-state that prioritizes theological validity as an absolute prerequisite for the administrative validity of marriage.

Abstract

This study offers a critical reappraisal of ‘Abd al-Ra’ūf al-Sinkīlī’s intellectual legacy, positing him as the pivotal figure in the reformation of 17th-century Islamic thought in the Nusantara following the doctrinal controversies initiated by Nūr al-Dīn al-Rānīrī. Moving beyond conventional biographical approaches, it argues that al-Sinkīlī’s introduction and dissemination of the Shattāriyyah Sufi order constituted the core, tangible expression of his intellectual project. Employing a descriptive-analytical methodology grounded in textual analysis of primary and limited secondary literature, this article elucidates how al-Sinkīlī’s Sufi thought reconfigured the archipelago’s intellectual landscape. A central finding highlights his characteristic Neo-Sufism, which performed a crucial reconciliatory function in the wake of al-Rānīrī’s heresy accusations against the wujūdiyyah doctrine of Ḥamzah al-Fanṣūrī. The research concludes that the Shattāriyyah order, transmitted to al-Sinkīlī via his teacher Aḥmad al-Qushāshī, served as the principal vehicle for his reformist, network-oriented Neo-Sufism, thereby cementing his role in shaping subsequent Islamic discourse in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to normatively and juridically analyze government support for Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), assess its conformity with the principles of the welfare state, and formulate an ideal model for strengthening support following the establishment of BUMDes as legal entities through Government Regulation (PP) Number 11 of 2021. Employing a normative legal research approach with a focus on statute analysis and the welfare state theory, the study finds that the government support norms in PP 11/2021 remain general and lack detail, leading to legal uncertainty and regulatory disharmony concerning capital provision, guidance, and business facilitation. These normative gaps hinder BUMDes from optimizing their role as a welfare state instrument. Therefore, the research recommends an ideal model for strengthening support based on the principles of legal certainty, justice, and effectiveness, urging the government to promptly formulate more operational and detailed derivative regulations, and to achieve total synchronization of regulations across all levels of government.
