Abstract

The development of website-based information systems is rapid, so the role of one is needed to meet the need for information and technology facilities. This study aims to find educator accountants' evidence about how users act based on their intentions, such as using websites moderately when learning outside the classroom. Research is being conducted at universities in Indonesia using the UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) model to determine behavioural intentions in its use. The data was obtained through a survey with a total of 128 respondents. The results showed that educator accountants' expectations and efforts in using websites for learning still need to be higher because their intentions and behaviour do not have high technology mastery capabilities. The finding implies that the Accounting Department improves educator accountants' competence in mastering technology in government programs. Competency improvement can be made through literacy through training. This research is the first study of the ability to use learning on government program websites with the UTAUT model on educator accountants.

Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the impact of conflict resolution procedures on teachers' job satisfaction in Government Technical Colleges in Kano State, Nigeria. The population of the study was 367 respondents, including 15 principals and 352 technical teachers. A sample size of 201 respondents was determined using the correlational research design. The instrument used for data collection was a structured questionnaire titled "Principal’s Conflict Resolution Procedure Appraisal Questionnaire (PCRPAQ)." The questionnaire was validated by three experts, and the reliability index obtained using Cronbach Alpha was 0.82. The research questions were answered using the mean and standard deviation, and regression analysis was used to test the null hypotheses at a 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study revealed that arbitration conflict management strategy and effective communication conflict management strategy had a moderate influence on teachers' job satisfaction. Based on the findings, the study recommends that civil societies should enlighten school administrators, teachers, and teachers' unions about the need to adopt the arbitration conflict management strategy, as the constitution provides for all labor-related cases to be handled at the arbitration court.

Abstract

Due to its rapid development, artificial intelligence (AI) has gained a lot of popularity in many sectors, including pharmacological sciences. In pharmacological sciences, AI has been applied in various areas, from AI-driven drug discovery and genomic sequencing to the development of personalized medicine. Subsequently, the need for pharmacists with adequate AI-related skills and knowledge increases. However, the current traditional curriculum of pharmacy education does not cover AI courses. To elaborate on the current developments in AI-driven pharmacology and present the discussion of the possibility of whether AI-related courses should be included in the current curriculum. We have gathered 32 references on AI-driven pharmacological applications, pharmacy curricula, and the future trends of pharmacological sciences. The literature is obtained from online databases such as Scopus, PubMed, IEEE, and Google Scholar. Based on the literature reviews, we presented the discussion and scientific-based opinion on the need for AI-related courses in the school of pharmacy. We believe that AI will be the basis of future pharmacological development. Hence, we consider that it is the right time to include AI-related courses in the student's curriculum to prepare future-proof pharmacists.

Abstract

The Philippines is the only country in Asia, and one of only three countries worldwide, with 10-year pre-university cycle curricula, and its implementation was unstoppable due to global competency demand. However, it has many challenges during the pre-implementation phase due to inadequate school facilities and needing more teachers. Thus, the study aimed to analyse the pedagogical approaches and challenges among teachers in implementing the K-12 curriculum by utilising a descriptive analysis. The design is a fact-finding study with an adequate and precise analysis of the findings. The results of this study, teachers in public schools still need to be fully equipped with pedagogical approaches in teaching K-12 curriculum. Teachers still need to capacitate this new trend in the educational system. The study is plotting to benefit and contribute to those involved in this educational system.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative analysis explores the understanding shift of Maskumambang Gresik Islamic Boarding School from the Aswaja scripturalist mindset to the scripturalist Salafiyah Wahabiyah mindset and then to the modernist and contextualist Salafiyah mindset. The study aims to understand the reasons behind the shift and the implications on the religious practices of the students and alums. The findings reveal that the religious ideology of the boarding school shifted over time under different leaders, which also influenced the spiritual implications of the students and alums. During the traditionalist Salafiyah era, the spiritual practices were in line with the Aswaja model, while under the Wahabiyah Salafiyah era, patterns shifted to eliminate nuances of T.B.C. (tahayul, bid’ah, churafat). Under the modernist and contextual Salafiyah era, practices evolved to focus on societal benefit and justice. The study highlights the importance of understanding the shifts in religious understanding and its impact on the rules and beliefs of the students and alums of Islamic boarding schools.

Education has a significant role in curbing hate speech and equipping learners to combat hate speech and intolerance. Educational practices that promote respect for pluralism and diversity in all areas of life are to be framed at the teacher education level to equip prospective teachers to face the challenges of hate speech. This paper presents the definition, cause and consequences of hate speech in an educational context and proposes strategies to empower future teachers to address hate speech. Prospective teachers are to be trained to address the issues of hate speech through various methods, as suggested in the paper.
