Abstract

This research is inspired by the diversity of students in a number of private Madrasah Aliyah, Central Lampung. By purposive sampling, the researchers took two research locations: MAS Roudlotul Huda Padangratu and MAS Bustanul 'Ulum Jayasakti. The selection of the two locations was based on the fact that the principals of the two madrasahs could be managed well by the diversity of students. This qualitative study aims to determine the leadership role of the madrasah principal in inseminating socio-cultural values ​​in the madrasah. By using documentation, observation, and in-depth interviews with madrasah leaders and several teachers, this study concludes that socio-cultural values ​​are madrasah's efforts to improve student competence through the leadership role of the madrasah principal. Among the leadership strategies of the madrasah head are habituation strategies, exemplary strategies, value internalization strategies, policy strategies (power strategies), and persuasive communication strategies.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara teoritik mengenai supervisi manajerial dan supervisor agar nantinya dapat mewujudkan sekolah yang berkualitas dan sekolah yang memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat di bidang pendidikan, maka sekolah membutuhkan sumber daya manusia yang professional, sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas yang dimiliki oleh sekolah hendaknya diberdayakan sehingga bisa memberikan kontribusi yang menguntungkan bagi terselenggaranya pendidikan yang efektif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan penelitian pustaka dengan menkaji dan membandingkan beberapa teori yang ada pada referensi yang ada. Dalam kegiatan supervisi akademik, supervisor memiliki peran dan fungsi meliputi peranan sebagai pembina dan pengawas. Peranan supervisor dalam hal untuk meningkatkan kualitas kelembagaan pendidikan Islam itu dititikberatkan pada hal untuk mengawasi bagian akademik dan manajerial (secara keseluruhan) di sebuah lembaga pendidikan Islam manapun. Pengertian supervisi akademik yaitu supervisi yang berfokus pada pengamatan masalah akademik yaitu yang berkaitan langsung dengan lingkungan belajar siswa pada saat proses pembelajaran. Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of leadership style variables on teacher competence and teacher performance. This research is a survey research with quantitative approach. The participants in this study amounted to 142 teachers from Madrasah Aliyah throughout Central Lampung. Data collection on teacher competence and effective learning used a 5 Likert scale questionnaire, and leadership style data used a questionnaire developed by Northouse. The data analysis technique used path analysis. The findings of this study are: 1) democratic leadership has a significant effect on teacher competence, while laissez-faire leadership has no significant effect on teacher competence; 2) there is a positive and significant influence between teacher competence (professional, pedagogic, personality and social) on teacher performance and 3) there is a positive and significant influence of democratic leadership style on teacher performance, while laissez-faire leadership style has no significant effect on teacher performance.

Abstract

Mutu sekolah menjadi tangguung jawab bersama pemerintah, masyarakat, dan warga sekolah. Secara internal faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi mutu sekolah di antaranya kepala sekolah, guru, sisiwa, karyawan, sarana prasarana pendidikan, pemerintah, peran serta masyarakat dan lingkungan. Dari beberapa faktor yang  turut serta dalam kaitannya mutu sekolah maka kompetensi kepala sekolah erat korelasi nya dengan mutu sekolah. Berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 13 Tahun 2007 tentang kompetensi kepala sekolah terdiri lima aspek kompetensi, yaitu kepribadian, sosial, manajerial, supervisi, dan kewirausahaan. Observasi peneliti lakukan untuk mengetahui mengetahui keadaan yang sebenarnya mutu sekolah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh       r hitung 0,829, untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat koefisien korelasi yang signifikan antara kopetensi kepala sekolah dengan mutu sekolah di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Padangratu maka r hitung  perlu dibandingkan dengan r tabel dengan taraf kesalahan 1%  ( tingkat keprcayaan 99% ) dan n = 25 dalam tabel didapatkan harga r tabel  =  0,396.  Terbukti r hitung 0,829 >  r tabel  0,396 dengan demikian Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima yang berarti terdapat korelasi  yang signifikan antara kopetensi kepala sekolah dengan mutu sekolah di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Padangratu. Berdasarkan tabel  interpretasi koefisien korelasi harga  r hitung 0,829 termasuk korelasi tingkat tinggi dengan kontribusi sebesar 68,72%, selebihnya mutu sekolah berkorelasi  dengan faktor lain.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of school public relations in the implementation of education at SMP IT Ar-Raihan Bandar Lampung which is related to: 1) The role of school public relations in planning school programs, 2) the role of school public relations in implementing school programs, 3) the role of school public relations. in the activities of supervising school programs, 4) the role of school public relations in evaluating school programs, 5) forms of community support in the implementation of education. The method in this study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Informants in this study were principals, public relations, educators. Data collection techniques in this study using interview and documentation techniques, test the validity of the data using triangulation, namely triangulation of sources and data. The results of this study indicate that: In the activities of planning school programs at SMP IT Ar-Raihan, public relations contribute to providing proposals for a program that will be run. In school program implementation activities, public relations contribute to promoting school programs through social media such as Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook, and websites. Then in the activities of supervising school programs, public relations contribute to overseeing the programs being run to find out whether the program is running or not. For school program evaluation activities can be carried out by public relations by evaluating old programs, analyzing new programs, and fixing programs. In line with that, the form of support from the parents of students to SMP IT Ar-Raihan is in the form of procurement of fees.

Abstract

Kepala sekolah atau kepala madrasah sebagai manajer pendidikan yang berada di sekolah memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam menentukan atau membawa sekolah yang dipimpinnya memperoleh mutu pembelajaran yang baik. Keadaan tersebut tentunya dapat diwujudkan dengan baik, apabila kepala sekolah mampu menciptakan strategi yang relevan dengan kondisi dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran. Peran kepala sekolah yang efektif tentu akan mempengaruhi kinerja guru, sehingga guru menjadi bersemangat dalam menjalankan tugasnya. Hal ini disebabkan karena guru merasa mendapatkan perhatian, rasa aman dan pengakuan atas prestasi kinerjanya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui stategi yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, selanjutnya penyajian data dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif, berupa kata-kata, tulisan, atau lisandari subjek yang diamati yaitu kepala sekolah, guru, siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan strategi kepala sekolah pada aspek kinerja guru yang mencangkup pembinaan kinerja guru, pengawasan kinerja guru, pembinaan disiplin tenaga kependidikan, pemberian motivasi, pemberia penghargaan, sudah berjalan hanya saja ada beberapa strategi yang belum terlaksana secara maksimal. Kinerja guru yang mencangkup penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran, evaluasi hasil proses belajar, dan tindak lanjut hasil pembelajaran dikategorikan sudah cukup baik, hanya saja dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran penggunaan metode dan media pembelajaran masih kurang efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the competence of administrative staff, the quality of administrative services and to determine the competence of administrative staff in improving administrative services. This research is included in quantitative descriptive research with data collection techniques used are, observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the competencies possessed by administrative staff in improving the quality of administrative services seen from the aspects of physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy were categorized as very good. Based on the results that have been found, it can be seen that the average competence possessed by administrative staff is seen from the dimensions of service quality which include tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy  indicates that the competence of his personality It can be seen that the most prominent competence possessed by administrative staff is technical competence while the lowest competence is social competence. The conclusions that can be drawn based on the quality of service seen from the tangibles aspect are that it is necessary to add related facilities, from the reliability aspect, it is good because it has reliability in handling any complaints from students, and is reliable in terms of time and accuracy of service processes. From the aspect of responsiveness, it has been very good because of the mutual communication between administrative staff and administrative staff. Judging from the assurance aspect, there is a guarantee for the security of the service environment as well as a definite guarantee for students provided by administrative staff, while from the empathy aspect, the willingness of the head of administration in serving students is good.
