Abstract

The fashion industry in Indonesia is experiencing rapid growth, particularly with the rising popularity of local clothing brands. In the digital era, social media influencers play a pivotal role in marketing through Parasocial Interactions (PSI), which can significantly shape consumers' perceived value and purchase intention. This study examines the influence of influencers' Social Attractiveness and Physical Attractiveness on Parasocial Interactions, and how these interactions affect perceived Social Value, Personal Value, and ultimately, purchase intention for local clothing brands. A quantitative research approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data were collected through a survey distributed to social media users who follow influencers and have prior experience purchasing local fashion products. The findings reveal that both Social Attractiveness and Physical Attractiveness of influencers have a positive and significant effect on Parasocial Interactions. Furthermore, parasocial interactions significantly enhance perceived social and personal values, leading to higher purchase intention among consumers.

Abstract

Diarrhea is the third leading cause of death among children under five years old worldwide, with improper management both at home and in healthcare facilities being the primary cause. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends zinc supplementation as a treatment for acute diarrhea, while probiotics, commonly used alongside fluid rehydration, are not yet included in WHO guidelines. This study used a single-blinded randomized Controlled Trial design to compare the effectiveness of zinc therapy versus a combination of zinc and probiotics on the duration of diarrhea during hospitalization at Mawaddah Medika Hospital. Children suffering from diarrhea who met specific inclusion and exclusion criteria were randomly assigned to two groups: one received zinc therapy, while the other received a combination of zinc and probiotics, along with standard treatments. The data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. Eighty children participated in the study, with the majority (60.0%) aged 1-5 years, and 53.8% of the children were male. In the group receiving zinc therapy, diarrhea was approximately 8.54 hours shorter than in the zinc-probiotic combination group. However, the analysis revealed no significant difference in the duration of diarrhea between the two treatments (p > 0.05). Consequently, while no significant difference was found between zinc supplementation and zinc-probiotic combination therapy regarding the duration of diarrhea, further research is needed to explore the administration of these treatments in diarrhea patients.

Abstract

PT. BRI Tbk. is implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program under the theme BRI Peduli "YOK KITA GAS." The Waste Management Movement, which serves as the Environmental Social Responsibility Program (PTSL) umbrella, aims to address waste issues and promote environmental conservation in Kebonsari, Jambangan District, Surabaya, East Java. In Surabaya, the community generates approximately 1,800 tons of waste daily. This figure is derived from the assumption that each person produces an average of 0.6 kg of waste per day. With a population of around 3 million, the total waste production reaches 1,800 tons. The implementation of the BRI Peduli "YOK KITA GAS" CSR program coincides with National Waste Awareness Day (HPSN), observed on February 21, 2025, under the theme "Collaboration for a Clean Indonesia." This study employs a qualitative methodology with a case study approach. In Surabaya, East Java, the program has collected 73 sacks of waste, reducing organic waste by 20 kg and inorganic waste by 99.4 kg. Additionally, the initiative can potentially reduce carbon emissions by 112.1 kg CO₂e and methane gas emissions by 98.6 kg CH₄e.

Abstract

Revisit interest refers to visitors' intention to return to a place within a specific period and their willingness to revisit the location frequently. A preliminary study conducted on 10 respondents found that 30% of patients had a revisit interest, while 70% were not interested. This study aims to identify the factors associated with revisit interest in outpatient healthcare services at the Halo Bayi Clinic, Limo branch, Depok, in 2024. The study employs a cross-sectional method with a sample size of 100 respondents at the Halo Bayi Clinic, Limo branch. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, and data analysis includes univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test. The study was conducted from October 2024 to January 2025. The univariate results show that the highest proportion of respondents interested in revisiting was 58 respondents (58%), those who perceived the price as affordable were 62 respondents (62%), those who found the clinic easily accessible were 53 respondents (53%), and those with a positive perception of healthcare providers were 63 respondents (63%). The bivariate analysis results indicate no significant relationship between price perception and revisit interest p-value 0.0139, PR=0.734 and 95% CI = 0.501 - 1.076, and no significant relationship between accessibility and revisit interest p-value 0.053. (PR=0.689 dan 95% CI = 0.482 - 0.984), no significant relationship between perception of healthcare providers and revisit interest, p-value 0.037 (PR=0.649 and 95% CI = 0.431 - 0.976). This can positively impact patient satisfaction, service quality, and efforts to improve public health. Additionally, a high revisit also contributes to increasing patient trust in healthcare facilities, which ultimately supports the effectiveness of health programs and the optimization of outpatient services.

Abstract

The rate of drug abuse in Indonesia continues to increase every year, and Tangerang City, Indonesia, is one of the areas experiencing a rise in drug-related cases annually. Therefore, through the Drug-Free Village Program, BNN Tangerang City strives to reduce the level of drug abuse in the area. This study aims to explain the communication strategy used by the Prevention and Community Empowerment Team of BNN Tangerang City in the Drug-Free Village Program. The theories used in this research are the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM) and communication planning. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method, with the research subject being the Prevention and Community Empowerment Team of BNN Tangerang City. The findings of this study conclude that the communication strategy used by the Prevention and Community Empowerment Team of BNN Tangerang City consists of ten stages of communication planning, starting with gathering data related to the program, determining program objectives, defining strategies, segmenting the audience, selecting channels, structuring messages, conducting management planning, organizing training, implementing the program, and finally, evaluating the program. According to the Prevention and Community Empowerment Team of BNN Tangerang City, implementing the Drug-Free Village Program has been quite effective in increasing community participation in preventing drug abuse. This is evidenced by the continued operation of P4GN activities in villages that have been designated as drug-free villages, even after the program has officially ended. However, improvements in strategy evaluation and development must continue to be made to create a more effective communication strategy.
