Abstract

The selection of middle-class gaming smartphones is a challenge for consumers because there are many choices with varying specifications. This research aims to help consumers make the best choice by applying the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. This method is used to provide recommendations based on a number of key criteria, such as processor performance, RAM capacity, screen quality, battery life, and price. The initial step in this research is to identify the problem, which is the selection of the best gaming smartphone in the middle-class category. Next, alternatives and relevant criteria were determined, followed by data collection through a questionnaire involving 78 respondents. The data obtained was analyzed using the SAW method to determine the importance weight of each criterion and the overall ranking of each alternative. The analysis results show that Infinix ranks highest as the best choice based on the aggregate score obtained for each criterion. The SAW method allows decision making to be more systematic and objective by considering predetermined weights. The conclusion of this study confirms that a SAW-based approach can assist consumers in choosing a gaming smartphone that suits their needs and preferences. This study also provides insights for manufacturers in devising more effective marketing strategies.

Abstract

In today's digital era, laptops are a major necessity for students to support academic activities. However, budget limitations are often an obstacle in choosing a laptop that suits the needs and financial capabilities. This research aims to implement the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method in an economical laptop recommendation system for students. The way this method works is by calculating alternative choices based on predetermined weights and criteria then sorting to find the best alternative from all existing criteria. So that the results will get a laptop recommendation that is closest to the suitability of the needs of prospective laptop users. The criteria used in the study include price, processor, RAM, storage capacity, and battery life. Sample data is taken from 8 laptop models with a price range of 3-7 million available on the market. The results showed that the application of the SAW method successfully provided laptop recommendations that were in accordance with the needs and budget limitations of students. With this recommendation system, students can more easily choose a laptop that suits their academic needs and budget limitations. This research is expected to be a reference for the development of decision support systems in the selection of efficient and appropriate technology devices.

Abstract

This research entitled " Geographic Information System for Mapping Land Ownership (Case Study in RT 05 RW 03 Klaling Village)" aims to develop a web-based application that facilitates public access to land information. In the era of information technology advancement, limited access to land information in Klaling Village is a SIGnificant problem, where people still have to visit the village office or land office manually, which is often inefficient. The research method used is the Waterfall method, which allows system development to be carried out in a structured and planned manner. The Geographic Information System (GIS) application developed in this study has succeeded in providing land ownership information online, allowing residents to search for and measure land easily. In addition, this system is expected to reduce the possibility of fraud in the shifting of land ownership rights. The results of the study show that the implementation of web-based GIS in Klaling Village increases the efficiency of access to land information. Residents can quickly and easily see the status of land ownership in their area, which reduces dependence on slow and inefficient traditional methods. The process of searching and verifying land data that previously took time can now be done online, increasing operational efficiency for all parties involved.  The conclusion of this study confirms that the information system developed not only increases the accessibility of land information, but also supports better land management. Thus, this application has the potential to provide a positive impact on the community and government in making decisions related to land.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the influence of religiosity on repurchase intention of non-halal-certified cosmetics, with trust as a mediating variable. Data were collected from Indonesian Muslim women who actively use such cosmetic products. The study employed a quantitative method and analyzed the data using the PLS-SEM approach. The findings reveal that religiosity does not directly affect repurchase intention, but it significantly influences trust. Moreover, trust significantly affects repurchase intention and mediates the relationship between religiosity and repurchase behavior. These results emphasize that while religious values are important, trust in the producer is a crucial determinant in repeated purchase decisions. This study contributes theoretically to Islamic value-based marketing and offers practical implications for non-halal cosmetic producers to enhance consumer trust through transparency and ethical product practices.

Abstract

21-23 Garden is an MSME engaged in the buying and selling of plants, primarily indoor plants, and uses a website as an online sales tool. To maintain service quality, particularly on the 21-23 Garden website, a usability analysis is necessary. The Post Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ) and Usability Metric for User Experience (UMUX) methods are used to measure usability. The PSSUQ method evaluates usability by grouping four categories: system usefulness, information quality, interface quality, and overall satisfaction. The UMUX method targets usability by assessing effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. The PSSUQ analysis revealed complaints related to the speed of the shopping process, the completeness of product information, and the quality of the interface. The UMUX method, on the other hand, showed very positive results, with a UMUX score of 83.3, categorized as Very Good. These results indicate that the 21-23 website has good usability, but there are still challenges with the quality of the interface and the speed of the shopping process

Abstract

Companies, as business entities, are required to sustain strong financial performance in order to enhance firm value while maintaining long-term business continuity. Profitability serves a critical function as an indicator of a firm’s capacity to generate earnings, which subsequently shapes investor perceptions, influences stock prices, and determines market valuation. This study aims to provide a comprehensive examination of profitability as a primary determinant in the creation of firm value. The research employs a narrative literature review approach, synthesizing evidence from eight peer-reviewed articles published between 2015 and 2025 that are directly relevant to the topic. The findings demonstrate that profitability is strongly associated with firm value enhancement, both directly through profit generation and indirectly through improved access to financing, strengthened market reputation, and increased capacity for business expansion. High profitability not only fosters investor confidence but also consolidates a firm’s strategic position within competitive markets. In contrast, low profitability can diminish firm value by eroding investor trust and weakening stock attractiveness. The implications of this review underscore the importance of adopting consistent and measurable profitability management strategies as a central instrument to support the sustainable creation of firm value.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the passport application patterns at the Immigration Office and forecast the number of applications for the coming years using the Exponential Smoothing (Holt-Winters) model. The data used includes the number of passport applications from 2022 to 2024. The analysis shows a significant increase in applications in the coming years, with predictions for 2025, 2026, and 2027 indicating a consistent growth pattern. While the model demonstrates good accuracy, the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) calculations indicate overestimation for the 2024 forecast. The application of the Holt-Winters model in forecasting passport applications in the Immigration field is a novel contribution to the literature, as this method is rarely used in this context. The model provides a systematic quantitative approach to predict long-term trends in application data, which is crucial for more efficient service capacity planning. The implications of these findings suggest that, although the model can predict a consistent growth pattern, the overestimation in 2024 highlights the need for model adjustment in the future. Therefore, increasing service capacity through additional staff and optimizing the digital queuing system are strategic steps that should be implemented to handle the projected surge in applications. These measures are essential to ensure efficient service and the Immigration Office's preparedness for the ongoing rise in applications.

Abstract

The process of determining students’ majors in vocational high schools plays a crucial role in shaping their academic development and future career readiness. However, manual decision-making often leads to inaccuracies due to subjective judgments and limited data analysis. This study aims to develop a more accurate and objective major classification model by integrating the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The dataset consists of 292 student records, including academic scores in Mathematics, Indonesian Language, English, and Science, as well as interest questionnaire results. Initial testing using SVM produced an accuracy of 79.76%, indicating that the model’s parameters were not yet optimal. PSO was then applied to optimize the key parameters C and Gamma, resulting in a significant improvement in model performance. The optimized SVM–PSO model achieved an accuracy of 97.20%, with a precision of 96.33%, recall of 95.22%, and an F1-score of 95.77%. These results demonstrate the capability of PSO to enhance SVM’s pattern-recognition performance and address class imbalance issues, particularly for minority majors. Overall, the integration of SVM and PSO is proven to be effective as a Decision Support System, providing schools with accurate, data-driven recommendations for student major placement.
