Abstract

Students’ motivation in learning Arabic language in children learning psychology review. Muhammadiyah Pakem Elementary School is one of school that use Arabic Language in the curriculum from the first grade to the sixth grade. The students in  elementary school have unique characteristics of the secondary school or senior high school, because elementary school will be the end of the children (golden) age. Therefore, it is very important to know what motivations and characteristics of this age. The aim of this research is to know the best (appropriate) method or technique in learning by knowing students’ motivation. This research used qualitative method in data analizing. The result of this research was motivation from others (extrinsic) reached 72,2% and motivation from the students themself (intrinsic) reached 16%. And the demotivating factors of the students  were the lack of preparation by the students to learn and the difficulty of Arabic language materials for the students.

Abstract

Abstract: Violence in education is not always about physical abuse but also ethics abuse. In Indonesia, violence tends to be unconciously accepted by most people. Learners are often treated ihumanity and they do not fight back. For instances, get push-up, kicked door, and other physical punishments are often seen by Indonesian. Yet, there some good educational systems in Indonesia that not using violence on learning. So, this study will elaborate concepts of nonviolence learning in Surya Mentari Natural Kindergarten in Surakarta. The research uses qualitatie method and phenomenological approach. In this research, I collect data by observation, documentation, and interview to be analyzed. This method also employs triangulation method data to make sure that it has been precise. The result shows that learning model in Natural Kindergarten Surya Mentari invites children getting outdoor class in rice field and nearby gardens because it is interesting learning resources for children. Keyword: Education,Violence, Environment

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve students' understanding in the material as well as the procedures for the practice of Hajj and Umrah. Implementation of learning is conducted in class X Takhassus MA Ibnul Qayyim Putri Yogyakarta in odd semester of academic year 2017/2018. In the implementation of this research outline covers four stages of activity that is planning, implementation action, monitoring, and reflection. This research is a classroom action research using observation, interview, and using demonstration method in practice of learning implementation. The result of this research is after the implementation of demonstration method, knowledge and hajj material able to build the students understanding in the practice of Hajj so that the students more easily understand the material and practice of Hajj. The learning methods undertaken to improve understanding and kepenguasaan students on the material based on the findings of researchers is a). Through the giving of materials to students b). through video presentation of the practice of performing the pilgrimage to students c). Implementation of demonstration methods implemented and practiced by students d). Evaluation of learning by teachers to students.

Abstract

International survey results TIMSS (2011) and PISA (2012) showed that Indonesian student science literacy is low when compared to other countries. Based on this, the research and development of integrated science teaching materials to improve literacy students Research and development aims to describe the characteristics, test validity, knowing legibility, as well as determine the effectiveness of learning by using teaching materials development results. Design test used is the pre-test and post-test control group were held in SDN Kleco 1 Surakarta. Valid teaching materials seen from the average expert assessment of the material that is 81.7%, is 90.8% of media experts, and practitioners that is 91.62%. Teaching materials easily understood by 14.36 t value greater than t table 1.83 with an average of 90.74 test results legibility is greater than 60. The teaching materials effectively improve students' literacy skills IPA seen from the increasing average postes Significant experimental class, with the results of the N-Gain of 0.53 was higher than the control class of 0.34. On average posttest experimental class is 83,03 and control class is 77,58. The average difference of 5.45. Based on the results of the study concluded that the teaching material meets the criteria of validity, readability and effectiveness. Material development is still limited, as well as scoring and leveling IPA literacy skills are not in accordance with the TIMSS standards, it is expected that there should be research related to these matters by subsequent researchers to obtain better results.

Abstract

This study attempts to describe the concept of inclusive education management in Early Childhood Education; to describe the implementation of inclusive education management in PAUD Inklusi Saymara Kartasura; to describe the implementation of inclusive education management in PAUD Inklusi Saymara. The method used is descriptive qualitative with research place in PAUD Inklusi Saymara Kartasura, Sukoharjo, Central Java. Data collection used observation, interview and documentation techniques on the implementation of inclusive education management, where the data validity checks used the source triangulation technique. The results of the study explain that inclusive education management in PAUD Inklusi Saymara is implemented in several stages: preparation of vision, mission and objectives of Early Childhood Education with inclusion setting, preparation of program of development and implementation of Inclusive education, Acceptance of students with inclusive setting, understanding the children with special needs, preparing Human Resources , preparing learning system and reporting of child development, Provision of facilities and infrastructures, cooperation with other parties, and monitoring and evaluation of early childhood education inclusion.

Abstract

Berdasarkan dokumen di Jurusan PGMI, pada tahun akademik 2015/2016, jumlah total mahasiswa PGMI 151 orang yang terdistribusi dalam 4 kelas, yaitu kelas 4A 37 mahasiswa, kelas 4B 33 mahasiswa, kelas 2A 42 mahasiswa, dan kelas 2B 39 mahasiswa. Latarbelakangnya sangat bervariasi yaitu dari SMU, SMK, dan MA yang berasal dari jurusan IPA, IPS, elektro, tata busana, multimedia, administrasi, akuntasi, pemasaran, agama, dan otomotif. (Wawancara tgl. 22 Maret 2016). Masalah yang dihadapi diantaranya laboratorium PGMI yang kurang memadai, khususnya laboratorium IPA.  penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon mahasiawa PGMI terhadap kurikulum, laboratorium dan dosen pada perkuliahan IPA Jurusan PGMI FITK IAIN Surakarta.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian diskriptif kuantitatif yang dilaksanakan di Jurusan PGMI FITK IAIN Surakarta dengan waktu penelitian 21 April–20 Juni 2016. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh mahasiswa Jurusan PGM yang telah menempuh mata kuliah Konsep Dasar IPA dan IPA MI yang berjumlah 70 mahasiswa. Sampel penelitian yaitu 70 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan angket. Penyaajian dalam bentuk diagram lingkaran dan analisis menggunakan persentase.Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu: 1). Sebagian besar yaitu 84,13% responden menyatakan bahwa kurikulum di Jurusan PGMI mampu membawa calon guru MI yang tangguh. Sedangkan sebagian keci1 yaitu 5,87% responden menyatakan bahwa tidak mampu yaitu pada mata kuliah bidang studi (seperti: IPA, matematika, IPS, PPKn dll). 2). Sebagian besar 95,38% responden menyatakan bahwa Mata Kuliah IPA mampu membawa calon guru MI yang mumpuni. Sedangkan sebagian kecil 4,62% responden menyatakan tidak mampu dan menyarankan untuk menambah mata kuliah. 3). Sebagian besar yaitu 85,94% responden menyatakan bahwa Mata Kuliah IPA relevan dengan Materi Pembelajaran IPA di MI. Sedangkan sebagian kecil yaitu 14,06% responden menyatakan bahwa tidak relevan dengan alasan materi Mata Kuliah IPA terlalu luas, dan materi kuliah terlalu sulit. 4). Sebagian kecil yaitu 3,12% responden menyatakan bahwa peralatan yang ada di laboratorum PGMI sebagai sarana pendukung dalam perkuliahan sudah memadai.  Sedangkan sebagian besar yaitu 96,88% responden menyatakan belum memadai, dengan mengusulkan untuk menambah peralatan IPS, peralatan matematika, dan peralatan bahasa indonesia. 5). Sebagian kecil 18,75% responden menyatakan bahwa peralatan IPA di laboratorum PGMI sebagai sarana pendukung dalam perkuliahan IPA sudah memadai. Sedangkan sebagian besar yaitu 81,25% responden menyatakan belum memadai, dengan mengusulkan untuk menambah peralatan fisika, peralatan biologi, peralatan kimia, peralatan bumi dan antariksa.

Abstract

AbstrakThe objectives of this study are: 1) to know the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model that is used as a means for problem solving for students in educational science courses, 2) To measure the success rate of implementing the Jigsaw learning model that is used as a means for problem solving education science courses, 3) To find out student responses related to the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model that is used as a means for problem solving for students in educational science courses. This research method applies an experimental method with a type of non-equivalent control group design in answering the research problem formulation. The research location was at the Nahdlatul Ulama Islamic University of Jepara, with a population of 30 students. Data analysis techniques used to calculate the results of research using t-test (paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test). Instruments for collecting data using observation and questionnaires.The results of this study include: 1) the continued impact of this is a different level of understanding between active students and students who are passive in completing tasks / problems. active students will of course be better able to master the material, whereas students who are passive will find it difficult to carry out the material by using learning models like this (problem solving). This is indicated by the value of learning outcomes, observation sheet data problem solving process shows that 71% of students in meetings II and II, and 76% of students at meetings IV and V can attend learning well; 2) Based on the statistical data generated, it can be concluded that the initial capability data of the 3 classes of 2PGSD A.1 has identical means (not significantly different) because Sig. (0.232)> 0.05, and F count (1.479) < T table (3,072); and 3) students taught by using the Jigsaw learning model that is used as a means for problem solving for students in Educational Sciences courses can be setup cooperatively to provide higher learning outcomes compared to students taught with classical learning models as a means for problem solving that is set individually. This proves that the Jigsaw learning model through problem solving activities can provide strength that is able to support the improvement of learning outcomes and critical thinking skills and build an active role for student learning.

Abstract

Social media are beneficial not only to communicate interpersonally but also to preach and educate people. One of these media is Youtube that can be applied in developing learning materials by capitalizing online preaching of Islam teachers (ustadz) uploaded in this medium. This research gives description on how Youtube is useful as part of learning material development. In this research, the description reveals the facts that teachers employ not only text books or student work books (LKS) in material development but also online videos. Youtube videos of ustadzAdiHidayat can be used to develop Islamic principal (Fiqh) learning materials in Islamic elementary schools by downloading those videos. Teachers are required to be savvy in operating internet media in learning material development for teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Recently, Higher Order Thinking Skills is a new issues in Indonesia, because the government was inserted HOTS question into national exam in order to develop Indonesian education. One of the problem occuring that  the students are not familiar to the question given, as the result, the student confuse and complait about it.. Thereby, the need to the assessment instrument that could help teacher and students to challenge it is the must. This study aimed to describe the use of G-form as a assessment instrument in arabic language teaching based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), to ascertain availability of g-form features as an assessment instrument in arabic language teaching based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), and to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of it. The research used a library research. The data was taken by interview the arabic teacher that use gmail as a test instrument in arabic language teaching based on HOTS, by reading books, national as well as international journals, and other references related to this discussion, and small experiment of g-form made. The result of this study claim that g-form can be used as an assessment instrument in Arabic language teaching based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The second are, although it has many advantages, in the other side, the disadvantages were found as well

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the dynamics of Pondok Pesantren DDI Mangkoso in accommodating national education policies. The method of this research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach whose data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research indicate that the status of Pondok Pesantren DDI Mangkoso as a traditional Islamic education institution still existed despite carrying out modern developments by maintaining five roles, namely: the place of transmission of classical Islamic sciences, da’wah institutions, preserving Islamic traditions, the center of reproduction of scholars, and place of community service and development. Changes in the position of pesantren in national education policy during the period 1989-2018 have implications for the education policy of Pondok Pesantren DDI Mangkoso whose dynamics are divided into three stages, namely: institutional transformation, integration of curriculum, and application of a culture-based  inclusive paradigm. The form of accommodation for the national education policy by Pondok Pesantren DDI Mangkoso is the opening of formal education institutions at all levels of education. Various obstacles in the accommodation are the struggle of organizational culture and structure, limited resources, and lack of community participation.
