Abstract

Pterygium is a common external ocular disease with a prevalence ranging between 0.7% and 33% globally. The disease is described as a wing-shaped, fibrovascular lesion that traverses the nasal or temporal limbs. This study aims to determine changes in astigmatism before and after pterygium surgery at the Undaan Eye Hospital in Surabaya. The population in this study were all pterygium sufferers who had changes in astigmatism before and after surgery at the Undaan Eye Hospital Polyclinic, Surabaya. The sample of 47 people was selected using probability sampling with the type "simple random sampling" or random sample. The instrument in this study used an observational sheet. The results of the study using the Mann-Whitney statistical test showed that the mean value before pterygium surgery was 3.89 and after pterygium surgery 1. 38. Through the Mann-Whitney test, it shows that there are changes in astigmatism before and after the pterygium surgery is carried out. Based on the significance value (p value), the value obtained is 0.000 < α (0.05), meaning that Ha is accepted or there is a change in astigmatism before and after pterygium surgery. The implication of this study is that pterygium surgery affects astigmatism changes.

The Instruments used are SPO head massage, sphygmomanometer, and observation sheet. The analysis used the Paired Sample T Test statistical test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the value of p = 0.000 <0.05 so that H0 was Rejected, meaning that there was an effect of Head Massage Therapy on the blood pressure of hypertensive patients. The results of blood pressure before treatment Were mostly grade 2 as many as 26 respondents (81%) while after treatment most Were grade 1 as many as 17 respondents (53%).With this research, it is hoped that head massage therapy can be applied to patients with hypertension in health services and it is hoped that further research can develop a better theory, duration of administration and design.

Abstract

Nurses are health workers who play a very important role in health services. Therefore the workload of a nurse is very heavy. A nurse who has to carry out her duties for the patient's recovery, on the other hand, the nurse's own psychological state must be maintained. These conditions can cause feelings of depression and stress in nurses. The heavier the workload of a nurse, the higher the level of work stress. The type of research used is correlational analytic with cross sectional approach. The population of 58 respondents and a sample of 50 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The independent variable is role overload and the dependent variable is work stress. Collecting data using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Spearman rank test with a significance of p <0.05.The results showed that most of the respondents had a heavy workload as many as 36 respondents (72%). Most of the respondents had moderate stress as many as 27 respondents (54%). Based on the Spearman test, it is known that the significance value or Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000, because the value of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < less than p=0.05, it means that there is a significant relationship between workload and work stress. It was concluded that there was a relationship between role overload and work stress on nurses at Muhammadiyah General Hospital Bandung Tulungagung . It is recommended for further researchers to look at the workload not only from the patient aspect, but also other aspects such as the level of expertise of nurses, organizational aspects and the work environment of nurses in order to obtain a more comprehensive picture of the workload of nurses.

Abstract

The background of this research is the authors' anxiety in the midst of accelerating times in the education space as if to announce that the old educational values are outdated and irrelevant values. This thoughts are more to the prioritization of constructive philosophy, or something that is deconstructed. Meanwhile, the context of education cannot be universalized into one even though the regulations in education in a country cover the whole. Old values are meaningful and timeless values that are timeless. This kind of thinking is a thought that departs from the philosophy of perennialism. This is qualitative research with data search through data sourced from journals as previous research as a secondary source. Results show that the philosophy of perennialism here serves as an analytical and differentiating tool to look back at the philosophy of constructionism as a criticism as well as a realization for the world of education in the form of the importance of maintaining existing or embedded values so far.

Abstract

This paper attempts to stitch the participation of constructivism philosophy in the space of management, education, education management, and Christian education management. Such cross-disciplinary stitching became the locus of observation as well as a response to the presence of constructivism philosophy through critical reflection in education located in Christianity. Constructivism in this paper seeks to see knowledge not as an object of transfer to learners who are often perceived as objects of education. The position of teachers, management and policy makers in access to education is located at or as facilitators. The construction of knowledge according to constructivism philosophy originates and starts from the learners themselves. Thus, the teacher's position as a faciflitator seeks to transfer and strengthen the responsibility as much as possible and according to the portion of the learner. This research is based on qualitative research with a data search model using literature studies. The literature study brings together interrelated cross-disciplines between education management and Christian education management with the philosophy of the presence of participation in the philosophy of constructivism. The results show that constructivism philosophy takes responsibility, criticizes, responds, takes part in class discussions, forms circular seating (learning strategies), and contributes innovations and sees gaps that have not surfaced in the learning process.
