Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of comic-based learning media on learning motivation and English comprehension of grade 4 students at SDS Permata Bangsa. The background of this study is the students' low interest in learning English caused by lack of motivation and less interactive learning media. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires and observation. The research subjects consisted of 12 grade 4 students with the duration of two learning sessions of 30 minutes each. The questionnaire was distributed at the end of session 2. The questionnaire consists of 9 likert scale statements followed by open-ended questions to provide reasons for each statement. The results showed that the use of comic media significantly improved students' motivation and English language skills. Students felt more motivated and enthusiastic in learning, and felt easier to understand the lessons. The comic incorporated two grammar: Simple Past Tense and Comparative along with vocabulary that focuses on names of animals. This study  concludes that comic media can be an effective and interesting learning tool to increase students' motivation and understanding in learning English. Further research on the use of comics in inclusive classrooms are also indicated.

Abstract

Educators have difficulty finding learning device guides that are easy to apply and can be modified. In fact, the ability of educators to organize learning activities and learning devices that suit children's needs is very important, in order to support the optimization of every aspect of development in early childhood. This study aims to develop a project-based teaching module to improve fine motor skills in early childhood. The research method is Research & Development with the ADDIE model ( Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation ). Validation was carried out by three expert lecturers and two teachers as justification when field validation was carried out. Data collection techniques used interviews, questionnaires, and observations. Data analysis the need for a preliminary study of teacher interview data was analyzed descriptively narratively, and validated with the results of observations of classroom learning activities and the results of the questionnaire of parents using the Likert method on a scale of 1-4. Qualitative data in the form of input, criticism, and suggestions put forward by media experts, material experts, and teachers to improve the product. Quantitative data was obtained from the answers to the questionnaire which were then converted into qualitative data by giving a score using a Likert scale to assess the feasibility of the teaching module according to the assessment criteria. The results of the feasibility test of the teaching module from material experts showed a value of 4.48 with good criteria, from the results of the teacher and parent questionnaires for the effectiveness of the value of 90.16 with very good criteria. Based on the results of this study, it has produced a project-based teaching module that is effective in developing the fine motor aspects of early childhood.

Abstract

Sexual offenses are not new, they have been happening for a long time and continue to happen every year, even in Indonesia. Not only experienced by adults, but also teenagers and even minors are getting sexually abused and assaulted by the predator.  According to reports, children and girls are more prone to get sexual harassment, with many occurrences remaining unreported due to fear, stigma for the victims, and a lack of understanding. One of the most effective preventive measures is sex education, which aims to equip children with knowledge and skills. However, discussions about sex are considered misinformation and social taboos, often disguised, a clear understanding of what constitutes good sex education is crucial. In this case family especially parents have responsibility as the first environment for the children to shape their children knowledge, attitude, behaviour and life skill about sexual topic through sex education. The The aim of this study is: to identifying  how effective the implement of the parent’s roles  as far. The method that used in this study is a literature review. The study was carried out based on 10 selected sources and analyzed. As a result, the conclusion point is concluded. From the overall resources used to assess the effectiveness of the parental role, the results show that the implementation is moderate to low in achieving the desired results. This ineffectiveness is evidenced by the moderate to low results on children. However, sex education is one of those things that cannot be addressed or taught only once; instead, it must be a continuous process to know the children. In other the other hand the parents can imply: 1. Balance engagement to support each other to be effective, 2. Create and build open communication, and 3. Collaborate with the school and teacher. From that, hopefully sex education can have a good influence on children's understanding, attitudes, and how they behave in respondin

Abstract

Project work delays often occur due to differences in site conditions, design changes, weather influences, and planning errors. The problem faced is the project duration, where if the project duration is accelerated or crashes, there will be several options to cut the project duration. This is the problem that becomes the topic of the thesis/journal, namely "Analysis of Project Acceleration with the Crashing Method with Alternatives for Adding Manpower and Additional Working Hours in Drainage Works". The author uses the primary method, with sources of RAB, Time Schedule, working drawings and analysis of city unit prices. As well as secondary research methods with sources, from relevant books, and project data such as price lists and wages. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the total wages of workers under normal conditions is IDR. 16,864,000.00 with the duration of project work for 30 working days. From the results of the analysis in this study, the total wages of workers with alternative labor additions of IDR. 19,672,000.00 with the duration of project construction work for 25 working days or 15.15% faster than the normal duration. Meanwhile, the total wage for workers with the alternative of additional working hours (overtime) is IDR. 25,052,300.00 with the duration of the project construction work for 25 working days or 15.15% faster than the normal duration. A more economical alternative to completing the project is the addition of manpower because it saves IDR. 2,228,000.00 from additional working hours (overtime), from normal wages.
