Abstract

This research is entitled Binary Opposition in Observations at Wedding Ceremonies in Gunung Karto Village, Tanjung Sakti Pumi District, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra Province. The aim of this research is to describe the processes involved in monitoring, and the meaning contained in the monitoring tradition. The theory used in this research is Levi Strauss's binary opposition. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews and documentation methods. The data analysis technique carried out in this research uses steps including collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the monitoring tradition is a customary law that has been implemented for generations until now. The monitoring tradition has three processions, namely bubus, akad, and monitoring. In the tradition, monitoring has the meaning of understanding the family tree and togetherness. Furthermore, in one of the traditional processes of monitoring, it is considered mutual opposition between the groom and the bride. This process is monitoring, where when the woman's family carries out the contract, it is the man's family who monitors it and vice versa.

Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus is still a problem around the world and in Indonesia, one of the most exposed is the Transgender community and one way to prevent HIV transmission is through condoms. This systematic review aims to find out the factors that influence condom use in transgender women. Literature searches were conducted using PubMed with the keywords 'transgender', 'peer support', 'knowledge', 'condom use'. From 202 studies that were screened using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA), 2 studies were obtained and analyzed.: Data that was obtained such as research method, participants, exposure, and outcome such as condom use and their factors were obtained. Based on analyses on condom use factors, the knowledge of condom use is not as effective in improving condom use, another factor is that increase in trust causes the participants partners to not use condom as often, last factor is Peer support towards the partners has an increase in condom usage. Further research with other factors not found is needed to give better comparison

Abstract

This research discusses "Community Empowerment through Super Ganepo UMKM in Jorong Padang Kandi, Nagari VII Koto Talago, Guguak District, Limapuluh Kota Regency". The aim of this research is to describe the role of Super Ganepo UMKM in the community economy and the forms of community empowerment that occur in Jorong Padang Kandi, Nagari VII Koto Talago, Guguak District, Limapuluh Kota Regency. The theory used in this research is Chambers' empowerment theory. The method used is a qualitative method, with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, literature study and documentation. The results of this research show that it started with the success of one of the people who tried to create a food called Ganepo. This success was well received by the community, whose presence is currently increasing through empowerment. Empowerment occurs not only from community to community but there is a role for the government in it, such as facilitating the business to become a Super Ganepo UMKM as well as providing training and providing tools to improve Super Ganepo UMKM. Currently, the existence of Super Ganepo UMKM has a very important role in the social and economic aspects of the community in Jorong Padang Kandi in facilitating interaction in the empowerment process, equality for each member of the group, reducing unemployment rates, providing employment opportunities and jobs in increasing community welfare and improving quality. society's life in a better direction.

Abstract

The research entitled “Changes in the Function of Betawi Traditional Houses in the Setu Babakan Area, Srengseng Sawah Village, South Jakarta”. The purpose of this research is to describe the form of functional changes that occur in Betawi traditional houses in Srengseng Sawah and the factors behind the functional changes in Betawi traditional houses in Srengseng Sawah. The theory used in this research is the theory of social change from Selo Soemardjan which is used to identify the factors that cause changes in function in Betawi traditional houses and the theory of functionalism from Malinowski. This research uses qualitative methods, with data collection techniques based on observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study explain the form of functional changes that occur in Betawi traditional houses including the function for the place to carry out the Baturan ceremony, the function for the place to carry out the Bebarit ceremony, the function to hold weddings and circumcisions, the function to distinguish social status, the function to store tools and agricultural products. Furthermore, the factors behind the change in function include religion, economy, lifestyle changes, technological advances, and the division of inheritance.

Abstract

This research discusses "Local Brand” Adaptation Strategy: Tiger Hood in Bukittinggi. The purpose of this study is to describe the obstacles faced by the local brand Tiger Hood and how the adaptation strategy of the local brand Tiger Hood in Bukittingg. The theory used in this study is Tallcot Parson's theory of structural functionalism. The method used is a qualitative method with observation, interview, and documentation data collection techniques. The findings in this study explain that the local brand Tiger Hood has several obstacles in facing competition between fellow local brands in Bukittinggi such as fierce competition, changes in consumer preferences and consumer misperception. The adaptation strategies carried out by the local brand Tiger Hood such as promotions on social media, promos and discounts, improving product quality and improving customer service.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to determine the influence of wordwall media on early childhood language skills in TKIT Al-Kaukaba. This study uses a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method using a Nonequivalent control group design. In this study, the population taken was all children of group B TKIT Al-Kaukaba totaling 30 students. The sampling technique in this study is total sampling, while the samples taken are TKIT Al-Kaukaba students with B1 group students of 15 children as the experimental group and B2 group of 15 children as the control class. The instrument in this study is an observation sheet of children's language skills. The data analysis technique using the mean difference test for two paired samples (unpaired sample t-test) was carried out to assess the data using SPSS software. The results of the study showed that there was a difference in the level of children's language proficiency between children who obtained the wordwall method compared to students who did not obtain the wordwall method

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the reasons behind lifestyle changes in the Anak Dalam Tribe community in Tanah Grow District, Bungo Regency, Jambi Province. Describe the forms of lifestyle change in the Anak Dalam Tribe community in Tanah Grow District, Bungo Regency, Jambi Province. The research method used is qualitative research. Data was collected through field observations, interviews and documentation. The theory used is the Theory of Social Change according to JL Gillin and JP Gillin (in Soekanto and Budi Sulistyowati, 2015: 261) and the Lifestyle Theory according to Wibowo and Riyadi (in Minarti, 2020: 12). The results of this research show that the background to lifestyle changes in the Anak Dalam Tribe community consists of external factors, namely the natural environment, government and reference groups, as well as internal factors, namely mindset, self-awareness and religion. The form of lifestyle change in the Anak Dalam Tribe community includes four aspects such as clothing, changing clothing from traditional to modern clothing. Residence, change of residence from the forest to a special house. Religion, change of belief from animism to Islam. Education, changes in education from those who did not know formal education to now they have had formal education and know writing.

Abstract

This research is entitled Changes in Community Habits from Conventional Shopping to Shopee E-commerce in Padangpanjang City, West Sumatra Province. The purpose of this study is to explain the factors that cause changes in shopping activities and how the form of change that occurs due to shopee E-commerce shopping habits. The theory used in this research is the modernization theory of Talcott Parsons. Talcott Parsons defines that the development process carried out by developing countries today can be achieved when following the process carried out by developed countries, distinguishing between "modern" and "traditional" where technology plays a key role in this theory. The method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study discuss the factors that cause changes in conventional shopping activities to shopee e commerce shopping, namely E-commerce as a shopping forum for the community, people's consumptive behavior, and people's hedonism style. The occurrence of factors that cause changes in E-commerce shopping has an impact on forms of change such as changes in shopping activities, changes in shopping places, and changes in payment procedures.

Abstract

One indicator of the success of health services is reflected in the decline in maternal mortality. but in reality in Indonesia it is still relatively high. One of the factors that affect the health of pregnant women is excessive anxiety. The result of various studies in the world show, excessive anxiety in pregnancy adversely affect the quality of pregnancy and can lead to complications, mental health development of children. This study aims, know the effect of interventions Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to decrease anxiety and quality of coping pregnant women in the region Puskesmas Nilam Sari Bukittinggi 2015. The method used in this study is Quasy Experiment design non randomized pretest – post test without control with a sample of 16 pregnant women categories moderate to very hight anxiety. Measuring Instruments used quesionnaires Pregnancy Anxiety Scale (PSA), Pregnancy Related Anxiety Scale (PRAS), Revised Ways Of Coping Scale (WCQR), and an Intervention Module designed practicing with psychologist regarding principle of step Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). Analysis of data using Friedman test, Wilcoxon and Marginal Homogeneity test.

Abstract

This research discusses "Tourism Village Management and the Economic Impact of the Nagari Pariangan Community." The purpose of this research is to describe the management of the pariangan nagari tourism village and the economic impact of the pariangan community. The theory used in this research is the theory of community participation from Edward Inskeep.  The method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. The findings in this study explain that the management and impact in this tourist village are by increasing human resources for all activists and tourism business actors in Nagari Pariangan, improving and developing tourism objects in Nagari Pariangan, and fostering ummkm in Nagari Pariangan. The impact of tourist villages on the community is an increase in community income through MSMEs and opening up new jobs.
