Abstract

AbstractStunting is a serious global health challenge, especially in developing countries like Indonesia, where the prevalence is still high, around 30-40%. This condition not only affects children's physical growth, but also impacts cognitive development, academic achievement, and economic capabilities in adulthood, thereby contributing to a continuous cycle of poverty. Despite the implementation of various medical and nutritional interventions, stunting rates remain high, indicating the need for a more holistic and integrated approach. This research aims to examine the relevance and priority of Surah An-Nisa' Verse 9 in the context of stunting prevention in Indonesia with a focus on the integration of Islamic religious values in public health interventions. The method used was qualitative with a thematic interpretation approach, where data was obtained through a study of Al-Qur'an interpretation literature as well as interviews with health and religious experts in TK Darun Najah Kedemungan Village, Pasuruan City. The research results show that internalizing the values of Surah An-Nisa' Verse 9 can increase parents' awareness and responsibility for children's health and nutrition, which has significant potential in reducing the prevalence of stunting. In conclusion, integrating religious values in public health programs has great potential to strengthen the effectiveness of stunting prevention interventions, making them more culturally and spiritually relevant to Indonesian society. Keywords: Stunting, Surah An-Nisa' Verse 9, Internalization of Values, Public HealthAbstrakStunting merupakan tantangan kesehatan global yang serius, terutama di negara berkembang seperti Indonesia, di mana prevalensinya masih tinggi, yaitu sekitar 30-40%.

Abstract

This research examines the phenomenon of sharenting (sharing-parenting) in the Indonesian cultural context, focusing on how traditional values influence digital parenting practices. This research uses a comprehensive literature study methodology to analyse the intersection between local wisdom and digital communication ethics in care. This study reveals that Indonesian parents practice sharenting through three main cultural pillars: harmony, unggah ungguh, and tepo seliro. These values significantly shape how information about children is shared on social media, creating patterns that differ from Western individualistic approaches. The findings show that parenting practices in Indonesia's digital era are firmly rooted in collective cultural values, where sharing information about children is not simply seen as personal documentation but as part of communal responsibility. This research identifies unique challenges in balancing traditional values with digital privacy concerns, especially in how Indonesian parents interpret and implement privacy boundaries within their collective cultural framework. This study contributes to developing a culturally sensitive ethical framework for digital parenting in Indonesia, emphasizing a balance between traditional values and modern digital practices. Findings suggest practical sharing guidelines in Indonesia must integrate collective cultural values while addressing contemporary digital privacy concerns. Furthermore, this research proposes practical recommendations for implementing culturally appropriate digital literacy programs and developing policies that protect children's interests while respecting traditional family values.

Abstract

Music, as a form of literature, can serve as a medium for critiquing social phenomena, including gender inequality. The gender inequality experienced by women is extremely detrimental and has a negative impact on them. Voice of Baceprot, a hijab-wearing female metal band from Garut, West Java, is one of the musicians who use their song lyrics to deconstruct the phenomenon of gender inequality. The purpose of this study is to identify the meaning and message contained in the lyrics of the song “PMS” by Voice of Baceprot in the context of women's struggle against gender inequality. The method of this study is descriptive qualitative, using Sara Mills' critical discourse analysis approach. The research data consists of the lyrics contained in the song PMS by Voice of Baceprot. Data collection techniques were carried out by repeatedly listening to the song and noting down the lyrics. The collected data was then analyzed using Sara Mills' Critical Discourse Analysis theory. The results of the study show that the lyrics contained in this song express women's rejection and resistance as subjects against patriarchal society as objects. Readers or listeners are positioned by the author through the lyrics as being in two positions: either as those who fight for women's freedom or as those who perpetuate injustice against women. Keywords: Woman, Oppresion, Voice of Baceprot.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the beauty standards in the Indonesian version of 200 Pounds Beauty (2023) using a qualitative descriptive approach and discourse analysis method developed by Sara Mills, focusing on feminism. The main objective of this research is to explore how the representation of women in the film reflects social pressures and patriarchal ideologies related to beauty. Through discourse analysis of dialogues, scenes, and socio-cultural context, this study identifies how the character Juwita experiences body-shaming and discrimination based on her appearance before and after undergoing plastic surgery. The findings indicate that the film reinforces unrealistic beauty myths, where women who meet the ideal beauty standards receive special treatment, while those who do not conform to these standards face marginalization. This research highlights the negative impact of beauty standards shaped by the media, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness about the diversity of physical appearances and boosting women's self-confidence. Thus, this study contributes to a broader understanding of the relationship between gender, beauty, and representation in the media.   Keywords: Body Shaming, Feminism, Film Studies,  Beauty Standards.
