Abstract

The objective of this research is to explore and assess the extent to which individual traits, the harmony between occupational and personal responsibilities, as well as adherence to organizational policies, influence the productivity of employees in Regional Public Companies located in West Java. This investigation utilized a quantitative approach, engaging a total workforce of 140 individuals. Following the exclusion of directors and non-permanent staff, the final sample comprised 130 respondents who filled out a structured questionnaire. The analysis of the data demonstrated that each of the three examined aspects significantly affects employee output. The statistical outcomes indicated that individual characteristics, work-life integration, and compliance with company regulations notably contribute to employee productivity, as evidenced by a significance value of 0.001, which is well below the 0.05 threshold, and t-values greater than 1.978. Moreover, the determination coefficient (R²) stood at 0.983, signifying that 98.3% of the variation in performance could be attributed to the studied variables, while only 1.7% was linked to other influences. Additionally, the correlation coefficient (R) was recorded at 0.992, reflecting a very high positive association 99.2% between the measured aspects and work performance. These results underscore the necessity of fostering a supportive work setting, encouraging favorable personal attributes, and maintaining organizational discipline to enhance employee effectiveness within Regional Public Companies in the West Java region.

Abstract

This work aims to analyze the influence of inflation, exchange rate, and rubber production on the volume of Indonesian rubber exports in the perspective of Islamic economics. Indonesia is one of the largest rubber producing countries in the world, with the rubber sector playing an important role in the national economy. Natural rubber commodity not only contributes to the country's revenue through export foreign exchange, but also absorbs large amounts of Labor and supports the downstream industry sector based on rubber raw materials. The work was conducted using panel data from ten major rubber-producing provinces in Indonesia during 2014 to 2023. The analysis method used is panel data regression with common effect, fixed effect, and random effect approaches. The outcomes showed that partially and simultaneously, the three independent elements have a significant influence on the volume of rubber exports. In the Islamic economic perspective, economic stability and Justice of distribution are important cornerstones in understanding the dynamics of export trade. This examination contributes to policy making that is fair and in accordance with Sharia principles in the management of Indonesia's export sector.

Abstract

One of the key factors influencing an economy's development is entrepreneurship. Students are supposed to gain knowledge and refine their entrepreneurship abilities at universities. The purpose of this study is to ascertain whether the state Islamic University of Raden Intan Lampung's entrepreneurship curriculum is successful in producing new Sharia entrepreneurs. A sample of 61 Bachelor S1 students enrolled in the Sharia Business Management Study program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung participated in this quantitative research study. SEM analysis utilising intelligent PLS software is the data analysis method employed in this investigation. Probability sampling is the sampling technique employed in this investigation. The study's findings suggest that UIN Raden Intan Lampung's entrepreneurship education is effective since it significantly and favourably influences students' interest in and capacity for sharia-based entrepreneurship at S1 UIN Raden Intan Lampung with Sharia Business Management Study program. The findings of this study are consistent with Ajzen and Fishbein's (1985) Theory of Planned Behaviour, which holds that training and education pertaining to entrepreneurship can be considered effective if there is a positive correlation between the development of intentions and an increase in ability and success in entrepreneurship. The focus on Sharia features or Islamic economic principles in entrepreneurship, which influence people's interest and aptitude for entrepreneurship, is where this study differs from earlier research.

Abstract

The study examines the impact of political instability on exchange rates while adjusting for economic growth and real interest rates from 1989 to 2020. After applying the VECM model, the findings indicate a short-term correlation between exchange rates and political instability. The results of the Granger causality suggest that exchange rate fluctuations and inflation rates are not directly caused by political instability. Additionally, the ARIMA model results indicate that political instability in the long run should be anticipated to cause minor fluctuations in exchange rates. Political unrest is forecast to level off between 2021 and 2040, with a subsequent increase in the exchange rate expected. It is recommended that policymakers deal with macroeconomic conditions that affect exchange rates, such as interest rates, to stabilize the economy and avoid excessive currency appreciation or depreciation.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry in South Sumatra is experiencing rapid growth driven by investment, rising domestic demand, and supportive government policies, yet it also faces challenges such as globalization and supply chain disruptions. This study applies a quantitative method with panel data regression to analyze the impact of population, the Human Development Index (HDI), and trade openness on industrial agglomeration. The results indicate that while employment shows a positive but statistically insignificant effect, and the manufacturing sector a negative but also insignificant effect on industrial agglomeration, both variables collectively have a significant influence. From an Islamic economics perspective, the industry should be managed based on sharia principles, focusing on collective welfare and promoting cooperation over competition. In conclusion, although labor absorption and the manufacturing sector do not individually exert a significant effect, their combined influence plays an important role in shaping industrial agglomeration.
