Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain group dynamics and identify problemsfaced by Karyamaju Bersama gillnet fishermen. This entire series of research wascarried out for 13 months starting from January 2021 to January 2022 with theresearch location in Sungai Meriam Village, Anggana District, Kutai KartanegaraRegency.Sampling referstothecensus method,whereall14 membersofthepopulation are all respondents. Field data collection by means of observation andinterviews using a questionnaire. To measure the level of group dynamics of gill netfishermen, the data was processed using the Likert scale method, namely giving ascore for each respondent's answer, namely the highest answer was given a score of3 and the lowest was given a score of 1. Abstract

ABSTRACT SINTYA NURUL KURNIAWATI, 2022.Strategy for Development of Amplang “Barokah” House in Lok Tuan Village, North Bontang District (Supervised by Said Abdusysyahid and Eko Sugiharto). The purpose of this study was to find out how the Amplang ”Barokah” House Business Development Strategy, Lok Tuan Village, Bontang Utara District. This research was carried out from January 2021 to March 2022 in Lok Tuan Village, North Bontang District. A sample of 10 respondents with reference to predetermined questions in the form of a questionnaire. The results showed that the results of IFAS and EFAS, it can be seen that the total value for IFAS is 0.845 and for EFAS is 0.258. In the SWOT matrix, several alternative strategies are obtained by using strengths to take advantage of opportunities and using strengths to avoid threats. In the SWOT analysis diagram, it is known that the Amplang “Barokah” House Business is located in quadrant I, meaning this is a situation that this business has strengths and opportunities, although on the other hand this business faces several obstacles and weaknesses. The strategy that must be applied in this condition is the Growth Strategy or growth strategy.

Abstract

Profile of Extension Program on Fish Cultivation Business in Muara Aloh Village, Muara Muntai District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency (Advised by Muhammad Syafril and Wahyu Fahrizal).Current research was performed to know the profile of the extension program of fish cultivation business in Muara Aloh Village, Muara Muntai District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. In this study, the sampling was done using purposive sampling, in which 15 cultivators and 1 extensive worker were selected. Furthermore, the data obtained were further analyzed using descriptive qualitative.Results obtain further show that fishery extension program in Muara AlohVillage includes the aspects of fish cultivator accompaniment, division of facilities and infrastructures, monitoring, as well as evaluation of fish cultivation activities. In the case of fishery extension activities, the method applied by the extensive worker is individual and mass approach. The individual approach was conducted through phone, while the mass approach was conducted through public meeting method. Furthermore, media utilized during the fishery extension activities are printed media, visual media, audio-visual media, and audio media. The printed media are in the forms of brochure and leaflet, the visual media is in the forms of white/black board, the audio-visual is in the forms of slide, and audio media is in the forms of phone. The target of this extension activity is the cultivator, village public figure, and surrounding communities.Keywords: Program Profile, Extension Worker, Fish Cultivator, Muara Aloh

Abstract

Fishing tourism is one of the attractions in the fisheries sector that has great potential, especially in Samarinda. Success in managing a fishing business needs a careful attention to the services provided. This study aims to determine the level of visitors' satisfaction at Kolam Pemancingan Habibi Ikhsan. This study utilizes accidental sampling method. The analysis of the data utilizes the analysis method of Community Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). According to the results of the analysis, the Community Satisfaction Index (CSI) is at 86.95, which means that it is within the category of good service quality. In addition, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) shows that the satisfaction indicators that should be considered and become the main priority for improvements at Kolam Pemancingan Habibi Ikhsan are indicators that are in the quadrant A

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis tingkat kepuasan pengunjung terhadap objek wisata Pulau Beras Basah di Kota Bontang. Penelitian dilaksanakan sejak bulan Maret hingga bulan Juli 2020 dilanjutkan pada bulan Agustus dan berakhir pada bulan Mei 2022. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Accidental Sampling sebanyak 30 responden dengan metode analisis data mengacu pada analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengunjung sangat puas dan tertarik dengan adanya keberadaan Pulau Beras Basah, karena tempat tersebut memberikan pengalaman berkualitas yang sesuai dengan harapan pengunjung sehingga memunculkan keinginan untuk bewisata kembali ke Pulau tersebut. Kepuasan pengunjung meliputi objek wisata, promosi wisata, aksesbilitas angkutan, faktor infrastruktur, dan faktor akomodasi yang tersedia di Pulau Beras Basah.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the business feasibility of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) grow-out farms in Jembayan Village, Loa Kulu, Kutai Kartanegara. Sampling was done using the Purposive Sampling technique with a total respondent of 15 people. The data analysis method used quantitative analysis, while the business feasibility analysis used Revenue, Income, Break-Even Point (BEP), Revenue Cost Ratio (RCR), Payback Period (PP), and Return On Investment (ROI). The result showed that the Nile tilapia grow-out farm business gained revenue of IDR 14,272,000/Production or IDR 42,816,000/year and received an income of IDR 7,867,576/Production or IDR 23,602,729/year. The result of calculating the Nile tilapia grow-out farm business was feasible to be maintained with a BEP in sales of IDR 12,256,078 and a BEP in units of 738 kg, while a BEP selling price of IDR 17,822/kg. The result of calculating the Nile tilapia grow-out farm business showed that it was feasible to be maintained and developed with an average value of RCR of 1.80. The result of calculating PP for identifying the amount of time required to recoup the funds expended for investment was 1.4 years and an ROI of 70.6%. Therefore, the Nile tilapia grow-out farm is feasible to be operated since the ROI percentage is higher than the interest percentage of Bank BRI of 6%/year (deposit interest rate of Bank BRI in 2021).

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the traditional fish farmers’ perception of mangrove forest conservation in Tanjung Limau Village, Muara Badak Sub-district, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The method of this study was purposive sampling based on the number of traditional fish farmers who were still productive in brackishwater pond cultivation, namely 15 respondents. The method of data analysis was descriptive statistical analysis. The data for scores (the highest was 5 and the lowest was 1) from the questionnaire were based on the Likert Scale. The result showed that the cumulative score for the respondents’ perception of the 7 criteria for mangrove forest management was 125.33 in the range score between 105.43–130.23 categorized as Agree. It is a positive point from the traditional fish farmers since they agree with making the mangrove forest stay conserved. The mangrove forest conservation is not only the people’s responsibility but is also a shared responsibility to make the mangrove forest sustainable.

Abstract

This study aimed to explain the advantages of the Cindy Milkfish Amplang Processing Business in Sungai Meriam Village, Anggana Sub-district and to find out the feasibility of the Cindy Milkfish Amplang Processing Business in Sungai Meriam Village based on the criteria of RCR, Break-Even Point (BEP), Payback Period (PP) and Returns On Investment (ROI) as well as to know the Driving and Inhibiting Factors for the Cindy Milkfish Amplang Processing Business in Sungai Meriam Village, Anggana Sub-district. The research was carried out from March 2021 to February 2022 in Sungai Meriam Village, Sub-district. The research method and data collection used was a census with a sample of 1 respondent. The results showed that Cindy's amplang processing business in Sungai Meriam Village benefited from a kentngan value of Rp. 29,134,476 / month (6 times production). Furthermore, the Cindy Milkfish Amplang Processing Business is economically viable with RCR value of 1.9, the Break-Even Point (BEP) value from BEP Price of Rp.10,289/pack, the amount of BEP Production is1,543 kg/production and the amount of BEP Sales is Rp. 2.750,096 /month, the Payback Period (PP) is 2,3 months or 70 days and Return On Investment (ROI) is 20,88%. It is found that the driving factor for the business owner is having attended training or seminars held by the Department of Industry, whereas the inhibiting factor is seasonal raw fish materials, non-maximum marketing in various media, processing workers who often change in every production

Abstract

The purposes of the study were determine the characteristics of consumers, consumer satisfaction, and attribute that required to be improved. The research was conducted during 11 months from April 2021 to February 2022 in Samarinda City. The sampling method used purposive sampling to 45 respondents. The data analysis method included descriptive analysis, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The result showed that the characteristics of consumers range around 21-27 years old, most of whom were women with unmarried marital status and status as students with high school graduate with income under Rp. 500,000 every month. The result of the CSI analysis showed a satisfaction level at 79.99% with the criteria of satisfied consumers, while the result of the IPA analysis showed priority of attribute that need to be improved were the nutritional facts.

Abstract

The research objective is to determine the technical and management aspects, feasibility hatchery business, the difference in the income of cultivator in the conditons of the covid-19 pandeic and before the covid-19 pandemic, as well as knowing the obstacles and solutions fish hatchery business in Ponoragan Village. The research was carried out from September 2021 to March 2022 in Ponoragan Village, Loa Kulu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. A sample of 20 respondents with reference to the method purposive sampling. The results showed that the technical aspects consisted of pond preparation, selection of broodstock, spawning, stocking of larvae, rearing nener and harvesting seeds. The management functions used by hatchery cultivators are planning, implementation and monitoring management functions. Then, based on the criteria of BCR, NPV, IRR, BEP and Payback Period, it shows that the fish hatchery business in Ponoragan Village is feasible to run. The results of the T-test showed that there was a significant difference between the income of cultivators before and during the covid-19 pandemic, as well as the problems faced by hatchery cultivators, namely weather, pests and varieties. The solution is that farmers make fences from nets around the pond to prevent flooding, while for pests, farmers make snares from threads that are pulled on each side above the pond.
