In this discussion, the researcher uses qualitative research methods, which rely on literature review, with inductive research analysis. The results of this study are, that in the life of mankind there are multicultural values, one of which is to revive the concept of tolerance and also a form of cooperation between religious believers, this is done to create a harmonious life among religious believers, and this has also been explained in the Qur'an, especially related to the attitude of tolerance between humans, or between religious believers. This form of cooperation between religious believers is actually allowed, but in order to still pay attention to the signs or restrictions that must be obeyed, especially about anything related to the rules of worship in each religion, or matters concerning principles in a religion and belief.

Abstract

A preacher has a duty to invite goodness with sincere intentions and without expecting anything from the object of his preaching, besides that the preacher must also believe in himself and his ability to provide good and useful advice for others. As a preacher, of course, we must also provide a good example and show that what we teach is something that is done in everyday life. That way, people will find it easier to follow what we convey. However, in reality there are several psychological obstacles that are often experienced by preachers in inviting goodness and not everyone is easy to invite to goodness, therefore this article will discuss what are the psychological obstacles of a preacher in advising and trying to provide solutions to these problems.

Abstract

Hoarding of necessities frequently occurs in Indonesia, such as during the 2020–2022 Covid-19 pandemic, when personal protective equipment (PPE) and cooking oil became scarce. The primary cause is the behavior of some traders who hoard and monopolize goods, thus hampering distribution, leading to scarcity and unreasonable price increases. This study aims to examine the dangers of hoarding for the Muslim economy from an Islamic literary perspective and to find preventative solutions. This study used a qualitative method with a library research approach and descriptive analysis. The results show that the practice of hoarding has been known since the time of the Prophet Muhammad. In Islam, hoarding of goods is forbidden because it can reduce the availability of goods and increase prices unfairly. Classical and contemporary scholars agree that hoarding wealth or goods that harm others is reprehensible. However, Islam permits someone to keep wealth or goods for personal and family needs as long as it does not harm others. Ihtikar or hoarding is a form of unethical trade based on greed and solely oriented towards profit. The Quran and Sunnah emphasize that those who engage in ihtikar are committing a grave sin and will be punished in the afterlife. Therefore, the government plays a crucial role in preventing the practice of ihtikar through market supervision and optimizing the function of the Hisbah institution, which plays a vital role in maintaining economic, social, and moral justice in society.

Abstract

The Holy Quran teaches universal values that are not limited to a specific race or gender. Allah, the Exalted, created humans in pairs to foster mutual understanding between them. Similarly, parental responsibility for child education should not be delegated to one party alone while the other remains indifferent. Among the societal phenomena is the stigma that the father's duty is solely to provide financially, while child education is entirely the mother's responsibility. Child education is considered a parental responsibility that encompasses various aspects, including faith, morals, physical, and social aspects. The concept of equality or "mubadalah" is highlighted as a framework that encourages fair cooperation and participation between men and women in the context of child education. In this context, equality is interpreted as mutual collaboration in raising children and in the interpretation of Islamic texts. Research is conducted to apply the "qira'ah mubadalah" approach in the context of child education. Gender equality and fair roles between men and women in child education are the primary focus of this research.

Abstract

If there are currently various models of Muslim fashion, it is different from the conditions of 1987-1989. At that time, in some places, covering the aurat with a neat hood received discriminatory treatment and was considered strange, even suspected. Perhaps ignorance of society and lack of example from teachers are among the contributing factors. There was an opinion that veiling was not mandatory until the Indonesian mufasir, Quraish Shihab, became the target of discussion. Even today there are still those who keep their distance from the book of tafsir. For academics, it is necessary to correct misunderstandings so that there are no unhealthy expectations and the public is not confused. The purpose of this study was to obtain a comprehensive answer regarding the limits of women's aurat according to the four mufasir and the law of closing the aurat. The method is in the form of criticism by comparing. The book of tafsir that is the object of research is the book of tafsir by al-Qurṭubi, as-Sa'di, Hamka, and Quraish Shihab related to surah an-Nur verse 31. The result is that all four commentaries agree that covering the aurat is mandatory, although al-Miṣbāh it is unnatural to state against those who do not wear veils or who show part of their hands that they "have definitively violated religious instructions". The reason is that the Qur'an does not mention the limits of the aurat and even scholars when discussing it differ in opinion. The difference is only in the aurat limit. Some say a woman's entire body is aurat, some leave her face and palms. For followers of the Hanafi school as mentioned in al-Miṣbāḥ, the two feet (heels) do not enter which must be closed, because it is quite difficult to carry out activities. Every book of exegesis that is a human product has its disadvantages and advantages. Each complements each other, and enriches.

Abstract

The Qur'an is the main source of Muslims in religion, in which it contains very diverse meanings and messages, starting from that diversity has the consequences of giving birth to various interpretations, some interpreting it through linguistic approaches, science, fiqh issues, philosophy, and so on. This study discusses the method of interpretation of Bint Syathi', a female commentator from Egypt who interprets the Qur'an based on the balaghah or literary aspect. This research is a qualitative type using a descriptive-analytical approach. The results of this study found that the method used by Bint Syathi' in his interpretation was more nuanced in literature with thematic tendencies in interpreting the Qur'an. He uses a linguistic approach in analyzing the words in the Qur'an. Bint Syathi' is very concerned about the clarity and originality of the meaning of the Qur'an, his desire to catch the parrot of the Qur'an is proven by eliminating israiliyat.

Abstract

This study critically examines Dr. Muhammad Sharif’s perspective on the concept of tajdīd (renewal) as articulated by Dr. Muhammad al-Dhahabi, with particular attention to his objection to al-Dhahabi’s claim that the early scholars left no room for contribution by later generations. The study also assesses the extent to which Dr. Sharif maintained scholarly objectivity and fairness in his critique, avoiding blind partisanship and methodological shortcomings that could weaken academic criticism. The research adopts a critical-evaluative approach by comparing the viewpoints of both scholars and analyzing them through an objective academic lens. The findings indicate that, in general, Dr. Sharif demonstrated a commendable adherence to the principle of fairness in his critical approach. Nonetheless, the study identified certain instances where he appeared to withhold justifiable defense from Dr. al-Dhahabi, such as in the latter’s omission of several contemporary exegetes in his scholarly treatment.

Abstract

Intention is a central concept in Islam that determines the quality and value of a deed. This article aims to analyze the concept of intention in depth, from philosophical, psychological, and social perspectives, and its implications for human behavior in the context of modern life. The research method employed is a systematic literature review, which collects data from primary sources, including the Quran, Hadith, and the works of classical scholars, as well as secondary sources such as books, journals, and contemporary research. The analysis shows that intention not only determines the spiritual value of an act but also influences the motivation, quality, and social impact of the act. This article concludes that a deep understanding of the concept of intention can provide an ethical and spiritual foundation for individuals in facing the challenges of modern life, including globalization, materialism, and moral degradation.
