Abstract

This article discusses the use of scouting education extracurricular program in forming students character at state senior high school in Poso city, Central Sulawesi. The research utilized a qualitative method with data collection techniques such as direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the extracurricular scouting education program at a Senior High School in Poso was based on the scouting extracurricular activity work program at the Senior High School. Routine activities include Enforcement Deliberation, Ambalan Working Council Meeting, Ambalan Guest Reception Camp, Scouting Material, Enforcement Test, and Scout Agility Competition. Additional activities include End of Year Camp. Participation/Complementary Activities include Social Activities and Regional Activities. The extracurricular scouting education program in shaping students' character impacts the formation of honest character, tolerance, and responsibility for the Senior High School students.

Abstract

This article discusses a learning model of Islamic religious education for instilling religious moderation values at a vocational school. The research used a qualitative method with data collection techniques such as direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The results show that the Islamic religious education learning models used by Islamic teachers in instilling the value of religious moderation at the vocational high school Palu are the Contextual Learning Model, Project Learning Model, and Group Learning Model. In the contextual learning model, the activities carried out by students are that the teacher gives assignments to students to read the topic of discussion that day, in this case, the values ​​of religious moderation, namely tolerance in terms of religion, ethnicity, race, and the prohibition of committing acts of violence, after that students connect it with real-life experienced by students. Implementation of the Islamic religious education learning model in instilling the value of religious moderation at the vocational high school in Palu as an effort to maintain diversity in the school within a frame of peace, tolerance, maintaining each other's feelings so as not to offend each other, especially regarding religion, giving freedom to each religion to celebrate their respective religious holidays both within the school environment and outside the school, providing good role models and advice and accustoming students to empathize with humanity by holding social service activities and other extra-curricular activities.

Abstract

This article discusses the evaluation of the implementation of make-a-match type cooperative learning model to improve learning outcomes of Islamic religious education in a senior high school in Central Sulawesi. The research used a qualitative method with data collection techniques such as direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research findings show that Islamic religious education learning by implementing the make-a-match type cooperative learning model at Banawa Senior High School increased students’ achievement results. The make-a-match type cooperative learning model are better than conventional learning because the students show anthusiasm in learning process. The make-a-match type cooperative learning model evaluates each presentation of material to maintain retention (memory), increasing motivational effects and new knowledge, and also increasing memory by adding creations that connect students' new ability to previous knowledge.

Abstract

This article discusses the use of inquiry discovery learning method to improve students’ learning achievement in Islamic religious education subject at a junior high school in Palu city. This study used a qualitative method with data collection techniques such as direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research findings show that our study conclude that the use of HOTS in learning Islamic religious education can improve students achievement. The students not only increase their achevement in learning the Islamic religious knowledge, but they also have high order thinking skill which support them to think critically regarding various topic in Islamic education subject. They also have skill to collaborate, communicate, and cooperate during learning the subject with their friends.

Abstract

This article discusses the use of wafa method in learning tahsin to read al-quran in a elementary school in Palu city, Central Sulawesi. The research used a qualitative method with data collection techniques such as direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research findings show that planning for learning the Qur'an using the Wafa method includes the syllabus and learning implementation plan, learning objectives, learning materials, learning media, and evaluation. Applying the Wafa method to learning tahsin in the Qur'an uses quantum teaching: grow, experience, name, demonstrate, repeat, and celebrate. However, some methods include opening, experience, teaching, assessment, and closing. The results of tahsin learning in reading the Qur'an for students using the Wafa method at the Bina Insan Integrated Islamic Elementary School in Palu are that it is easier for students to recognize the letters, students can read the Qur'an well and correctly, students are also able to read the Qur'an using the hijaz tone with the correct pattern, simplified, and students are also able to write the Qur'an with Ustmani khat.
