Abstract

This study examines the role of learning environment in improving the quality of learning students in modern boarding school Al-Istiqamah Ngatabaru. Research method used in this research is qualitative method with a case study approach. The data were collected through observation, semistructured interview, and documentary study. Data then analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, display data and conclusion drawing/verification. The research results show that the role of learning environment in improving the quality of learning cases in modern boarding school Al-IstiqamahNgatabaru has a big role so that it affects the achievement of students. Based on the results of research in the field of Islamic boarding school learning environment role is the formation of students through the system pengasramaan, student character formation with the assignment, and the creation of a conducive learning. Supporting learning factors include good classroom, organized learning system, teaching program (TMI), curriculum management, while learning inhibiting factors include teachers demanded for professionals, influences coming from within students and surrounding areas, and inadequate facilities.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of using audio visual as media in improving learning achievement of a Islamic Junior high schools. The study used qualitative methods with observation, interview and documentation as techniques for data collection. The results of this research shows that the use of audio visual media in enhancing the learning achievement of Islamic education at SMP Negeri 1 Palu was effective for several reasons: First, the use of audio-visual media can clarify the material that is taught, effectifying and functioning students’ sensory, both senses of sight and hearing in accordance with the nature of the characteristics of the material and subject matter that is taught. Second, gives stimulation, experiences and observations that is similar to students in the same time with the subject matter. Third, encourages students to be active in learning activity. By using the audio-visual media, we can also say that the PAI teachers have motivated the whole class to be actively included in the teaching learning proces. Fourth, audio-visual media is very effective in improving students’ interest and achievement in learning Islamic education. The supporting factors are the learning system thatt is used, the quality of teachers, the facilities and infrastructures, as well as the role of parents, communities and the agencies related. The factors that inhibit the effectiveness of using audio visual media are as follows: (1). Time allocation of learning, (2). Procurement of electricity. To overcome these problems we can use genset macine as temporary power, desain the material an media in accodane with time.

Abstract

This study discusses the urgency of the competency of teachers on the subjects of Islamic religious education. This study used descriptive qualitative method and gather data through observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through reduction, data presentation, and data verification that ended with checking the validity of the data. The results of this study shows that competence of teachers in junior high school is adequate. The role of teachers in improving the quality of teaching, positions which directly determine the success, considering the teacher as a figure who is directly involved in learning in the classroom. All of these roles requires more concrete effort, and directly touch to the needs of students in order to get better the quality of learning. The efforts made by the Islamic religious education teachers in improving the quality of education including the provision of guidance to students, advice, supervision of students, providing motivation and rewards, using varied teaching methods, and personal approach to students. Supporting factors include the existence of good cooperation from principals, teachers, parents, staff, students and the local community, the infrastructure, the competent teachers, and safe and orderly environment. Inhibiting factors include the lack of instructional media; in this case the writer mean is computer and LCD, the lack of participation and support fromstudents’ parent. As for efforts to deal with is as follows: add computer and LCD and establish good coordination with parents.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to discusses the practice of cousin marriage in the community of Kalola Village, Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi. This study uses qualitative methods and data was gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and written material. Data analysis was analyzed using a grounded theory approach. The results showed that the learning participation of students in the implementation of the cooperative learning model type Group Investigation before, namely: from 20 students that, the results of student participation in interaction activities were classified as low seeing the students, compiling only 7 people, responding (asking and answering ) only 5 people and accepted in the teacher's explanation only 10 people and and the indicator of students' learning participation was low as seen from the skill scores of these students, while after the implementation of the cooperative learning modeltype group investigation experienced a significant increase, there were 20 students. That the results of student participation in interaction activities compose 19 people, respond (ask and answer) 14 people, and accept in the teacher's explanation 14 people and indicators of increasing student learning participation also increase, it can be seen that the skill value of these students.

Abstract

This study was conducted in al-istiqamah ngatabaru modern islamic boarding school with sample of 50 students. Data were gathered through observation and questionnaires. The data were analysed using descriptive analysis approach. The results showed that the parenting style applied by each parents of students in general can be said to be quite democratic, but none of the parents of students who apply pure democratic parenting. Under certain circumstances, parents are authoritarian and in another circumstances parents are permissive. Based on the significant value of the Coefficients table, the significance value of 0,000 <0,05, then based on the known value of , while the Ttable value at the error level 5% = 2.011, thus the statement can be written that, tcount> (18.254 <2.011 ), the degree of the influence of single parent parenting style on social emotional behavior women student of al-istiqamah ngatabaru modern islamic boarding school also can be known through the magnitude of coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.871 or 87.1%. This means that 12.9% is influenced by other factors not included in this study. so it can be concluded that single parent parenting style (X) parenting variable influential to emotional social development variable (Y), the result is significant hypothesis that there is positive influence between parenting parent single parent to emotional social development santriwati pondok pesantren modern Al-istiqamah Ngatabaru.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to discusses the practice of cousin marriage in the community of Kalola Village, Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi. This study uses qualitative methods and data was gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and written material. Data analysis was analyzed using grounded theory approach. The results show that the religious activities in MAN insan Cendekia Palu City were congregational prayer activities, qiroatul quran, tahfiz Alquran, Qiro'ah qabla naum, Ratibul haddal / barzanji, polar Qiraatul / book study, three-language cult. The religious activities are carried out outside school hours, from 05.00-05.30 and continued at 18.30-19.15 and then continued again at 21.45-22.00, the activities are carried out at the mosque for male students and in the dormitory for girls, for brazanji and evening prayers and Isha all students carry out in the mushollah. Togetherness activities have six coaches, namely 3 male dormitory coaches and 3 female coaches, the friendship activity supervisor is a competent coach with activities carried out by the implementation process itself carried out by providing training, coaching and habituation so that the expected goals can be achieved.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to discusses the practice of cousin marriage in the community of Kalola Village, Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi. The results showed that the foster teacher pattern applied in MAN Insan Cendekia Palu City was a form of activity and guidance that was relative and consistent, and a series of active efforts that made a large contribution to students, in improving intellectual / academic aspects as well as good attitudes. . So that the foster teacher pattern is used as a series of activities as a vehicle to educate, nurture and socialize children in developing their abilities, in order to achieve family, community and school expectations. Some educators who serve as foster teachers apply authoritarian parenting with the aim that students are clear and do not repeat mistakes, and also authoritative parenting which provides more understanding and good guidance without heavy pressure and punishment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of school committee performance on improving the quality of educational learning and principal leadership on Islamic learning. This study uses quantitative methods because the research data is in the form of numbers and the analysis uses statistics. The variables in this study are the contribution of the school committee's performance, the leadership of the school principal and the improvement of the quality of learning Islamic religious education. The data were processed using SPSS version 21. The results showed that there was a significant influence between the performance of the school committee and the improvement of the learning quality of Islamic religious education by 37.8% and the remaining 62.2% was influenced by other factors outside the research. This data shows that the higher the influence of the school committee's performance, the higher the increase in the quality of learning. In other words, the school committee is an institution that is located in each educational unit, and is an independent body that does not have a hierarchical relationship with government institutions that are in the middle between parents, students, teachers, and the local community. Furthermore, there is the influence of the principal's leadership on improving the quality of Islamic religious education learning by 66.4% and the difference of 33.6% is influenced by other factors outside the research. This data shows that the higher the influence of the principal's leadership, the higher the increase in the quality of learning.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to discusses Improving Emotional and Spiritual Intelligence of Students through Aqidah Morals. This study uses qualitative methods and data was gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and written material. Data analysis was analyzed using grounded theory approach. The results showed that the teacher's efforts in improving discipline, honesty, responsibility, and cooperation of students at Madrasah Aliyah 2 Palu City through learning Akidah Akhlak were carried out by providing exemplary in terms of punctual arrival in class, advice and motivation, sanctions/punishment, making students' friends as assisting teachers, applying the discussion method in learning.

Abstract

Pursuing education in Arab countries generates a controversy among indigenous and home-made scholars in Nigeria. Some believe that it is enough to pursue religious education within the country, while some others uphold the standpoint that Muslim students should pursue their studies in Arab countries like Al-Azhar. Hence, there is a lot of confusion and controversy about the impact of Al-Azhar University in Nigeria. However, this study aims to investigate the impact of Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt on Arabic-Islamic schools in the Yorubaland, Nigeria. This is done through investigation of its curriculum, scholarship, and sending of Al-Azhar's delegates to teach in Arabic-Islamic schools in Yorubaland, Nigeria. It discusses Islamic religious affairs and the role played by the Nigerian Muslim scholars in general and in the South Western Nigeria in particular. Furthermore, it addresses the argument bothering on the need to pursue religious education within and outside the country. This study also examines the difference between Al-Azhar educational system and the Nigerian Arabic- Islamic educational system and investigates the need for continuation or otherwise of Al-Azhar’s venture in the Nigerian Arabic- Islamic Schools. This study is both historical and analytical in nature. It used data gathered via primary and secondary sources and utilizes both qualitative and quantitative methods. Findings from this study revealed the suitability of Al-Azhar educational system for Nigeria. It also showed the continuous need to pursue Al-Azhar education by Nigerians. The need to introduce some Western courses into Al-Azhar educational curriculum to facilitate easy fitting of the graduates into Nigerian educational system also emanated from this study. The study recommends the completion of secondary education in Nigeria by intending Nigerians seeking Al-Azhar education in order to facilitate their usefulness in the Nigerian western-oriented educational system upon their return.
