Abstract

The purpose of this research was improve the students achievement in learning social science used coopeative group investigation of 5th grade elementary school. Types of this research was classroom action research with qualitative and quantitative approach. Subject of this research were students of 5th grade were 25 people consist of 10 men and 15 women. Research conducted in two cycles with research procedure includes of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The result of research was improve a) Lesson plan the cycles of I was 76,78% and the cycles II of 92,86% b) Implementation teacher’s activity of I cycle was 79,69% and II cycle was 93,75% while implementation students activity of I cycle was 75% and II cycle was 93,75% c) the students learning outcomes in the I cycle was 76,18 and II cycle was 87,20. It can be concluded that used cooperative learning type GI can improve students achievement in learning social science of 5th grade at SDN 18 Air Tawar Padang.Keyword : Learning outcomes, Social science, GI

Abstract

 The purpose of the study was to describe the improvement of poetry writing skills using the Think Talk Write model of fifth grade students of SDN 06 Kota Padang. The subjects of the study were 31 observers, researchers, and fifth grade students consisting of 14 men and 17 women. In the pre-writing cycle I got an average score of 73.35, the average value at writing 75.78, and the average post-writing value 75.24. In cycle II the pre-writing average score was 91.37, the average value at writing was 91.63, and the average post-writing value was 92.70. Thus writing poetry using a think talk write model can improve student learning outcomes in class V SDN 06 Kota Padang. Keywords: Poetry writing skill, think talk write

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to know the effect of the use of cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) on the results of learning IPS five grade students SD Negeri Gugus IV Kecamatan Baso Kabupaten Agam. This research is a quantitative research with of Quasi Experimental Type Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique using Cluster Random Sampling technique with the sample number 44 students consisting of 20 students of class V SD Negeri 11 Koto Gadang and 22 students of class V SD Negeri Sungai Sariak. Based on the research that has been done, obtained tcount > ttable that is 2,547079>1,68385  with α = 0,05 so it can be concluded H1 accepted that there is influence the use cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together on student learning outcomes in social studies learning at grade 5th in SDN 11 koto gadang. Keywords : Cooperative Learning, NHT, Learning Outcomes, IPS

Abstract

 1 This study aims to determine whether the effect of probem - based learning model is significant on the student’ learning outcomes  of  sosial subject. The type of research is quantitative research. This research employed an experimental research of True experimental design. The research design in the Pretest-Posttest ControlDesign Group.Based on the pretest conducted in the experimental class, the average score of the student is 64.75 while score of the control 64,90. After the posttest was given to both classes, the average score obtained by the experimental class is 80,0 whilethe average scoreof the control 74.55. the hypthesis testing obtainet a tcountof 3.54 and ttableof 2.02 with α = 0.05, which means that tcount ttable. Therefore,it is concluded that Problem - Based Learning mode has a significant effect on the student’ Learning outcomes of  sosial science subject in Grade V of  Elementary school Number 13 Parit Putus, Ampek angkek Sub-district, Agam district.  Keyword :PBL Model, Learning outcome IPS

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims was to describe the improvement of the student`s on learning Civics using PBL model. Using qualitative and quantitative approach . Type of research that is research action class . This Subject of this research an teachers and students. Students as many as 20 people .The research procedure includes (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Abstract

This study aims to develop student worksheets to solve problems related to fraction counting operations based on Contextual Teaching and Learning. This research is a development research with 26 research subjects and carried out in SD N 15 Ulu Gadut Kota Padang. This development research uses the stages of analysis, design, development, implementationand evaluation. The average number of overall validations is 3,48 in the valid category. The results of the practicality questionnaire of the teacher's response were 93,75% with a very practical category, while for the student questionnaire the response was 96,76% with a very practical category. Based on the results of the validation and practical results it was stated that the developed student worksheets was valid and very practical. Thus, it can be concluded that the material student worksheets resolves problems related to the operation of fraction counting based on Contextual Teaching and Learning in grade V has been declared valid and very practical in learning.Keywords: development, student worksheet, Contextual Teaching and Learning.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe the improvement of reading comprehension ability by using the PORPE strategy on the 4th grade students of Elementary School No.34 Simpang Haru, Padang. Research subjects were teachers and 32 students in the 4th grade of Elementary School No. 34 Simpang Haru, Padang. This study is a classroom action research that uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed that the students’ ability in reading comprehension increased from 82,4 (Good) with 78,1% level of mastery in cycle I, to 90 (Very Good) with 95% level of mastery in cycle II. The percentage of improvement from cycle I to cycle II is 7,6 %. Based on these results, it is concluded that the PORPE strategy can improve the ability of reading comprehension of the 4th grade students of Elementary School.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the improvement of narrative writing skill by using experiental learning models at grade V student of Elementary School. The type of research is PTK by using qualitative and quantitative approach. This research was conducted at SD Negeri35 Parak Karakah, Padang city with a total of 22 students consisting of 10 male students and 12 female students. The result of the narrative writing skill in the pre-writing at cycle I 57,8 (C) increases on cycle II 87,5 (SB). The writing phase in the first cycle 48,8 (K), increased in the second cycle 79,7 (B), the post-writing phase cycle I 58,3 (C) increases in cycle II 84,3 (B).  Keywords: Increased, narrative writing, experiental lerning model.

Abstract

This reseach aims at finding out a significant difference of students learning outcomes of the scale between the PBL and Problem Posing Models of learning outcomes Scale in the Plan in class V SD Group 1 Payakumbuh City. This type of research is an experiment using a quasi-experimental design in the form of a pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. The samples were students of class VA and VB of SDN 28 Payakumbuh. The research sample was 40 students selected based on cluster random sampling technique. The instrument used in collecting data is a test with a description form. Based on the t-test of the students post-test scores, it was found that tcount 2,08> ttable 2,02 α 0,05. It means the PBL model is a better compared to the Problem Posing model class V SD Group 1 Payakumbuh City.Keywords: PBL, Problem Posing, sclae learning outcomes.

Abstract

The study was aimed at describing the improvement of students’ activities in learning the Social Science subject by using Role Playing Model at 5th grade of  Sungai Geringging, Padang Pariaman. The subjects of the study were the teachers and 18 students of the school. The classroom action research was conducted in this research. The result of the research shows that the students’ activities increased from the first cycle to the second one: visual activity increased from 72.22% (adequate) in cycle I to 87.49% (very good) in cycle II; (b) oral activity increased from 71.17% (adequate) in cycle I to 86.45% (very good) in cycle II; (c) listening activity increased from 72.56% (adequate) in cycle I to 86.10% (very good) in cycle II; (d) metric activity increased from 72.22% (adequate) in cycle I to 86.8% (very good) in cycle II; (e) emotional activity increased from 73.61% (adequate) in cycle I to 86.8% (very good) in cycle II. This means that the Role Playing model is able to improve the students’ activities in learning The Social Science Subject. Keywords: The Social Sciens Subject , Role Playing Model
