Abstract

Work motivation is a crucial factor in maintaining employee productivity and service quality, particularly in the waste management sector, which requires high levels of physical endurance, discipline, and responsibility. However, in practice, indications of low employee motivation are still observed, which are presumed to be influenced by inadequate work environment conditions and an organizational culture that has not been fully supportive. Such circumstances may affect the effectiveness of task implementation and the overall performance of the institution. This study aims to analyze the effect of the work environment and organizational culture on employee work motivation in the Waste Management Division of the Environmental Agency of Bandung Regency. This research employs a quantitative approach with descriptive and verificative research designs. The population consists of all employees in the Waste Management Division of the Environmental Agency of Bandung Regency, totaling 54 individuals. A saturated sampling technique was applied, in which the entire population was used as the research sample. Primary data were collected through questionnaires developed based on indicators of work environment, organizational culture, and work motivation, using a five-point Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26, including validity and reliability tests as well as multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that the work environment and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on employee work motivation, both partially and simultaneously. These findings emphasize the importance of fostering a positive organizational culture and improving work environment conditions to enhance employee motivation and enthusiasm, particularly in the waste management sector.

Abstract

In today’s workplace, organizational success is highly dependent on internal factors, particularly employee loyalty. Preliminary observations at PT Alendors Global Production indicate a decline in employee loyalty, which has led to an increase in turnover rates. This condition is driven by challenges in maintaining work–life balance, an unconducive work environment, and the need to enhance Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). This study aims to quantitatively examine and analyze the partial and simultaneous effects of Work–Life Balance (WLB), Work Environment, and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) on employee loyalty at PT Alendors Global Production. The research employs a quantitative approach using a causal associative method, with a population of 80 employees of PT Alendors Global Production as respondents. Data were collected through observation and questionnaire distribution and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The partial regression analysis results indicate that Work–Life Balance and Work Environment have a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty. Conversely, Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) shows a statistically insignificant effect. However, the simultaneous test (F-test) reveals that the three independent variables collectively have a significant contribution to employee loyalty, with an R-squared value of 0.553, indicating that 55.3% of the variation in employee loyalty is explained by the combined influence of these variables. These findings conclude that efforts to enhance employee loyalty largely depend on fulfilling work–life balance and providing a supportive work environment. Therefore, it is recommended that organizations focus their strategies on improving WLB policies and creating a safe and conducive work environment to strengthen employees’ emotional attachment and long-term loyalty.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of firm size, capital intensity, and inventory intensity on tax avoidance in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2021–2024. Tax avoidance is considered a legal strategy to minimize tax burdens by exploiting regulatory loopholes. Using purposive sampling, 126 firm-year observations were obtained, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression via IBM SPSS 25. The results show that firm size and capital intensity have a positive and significant effect on tax avoidance, indicating that larger firms with greater fixed asset investment possess stronger capacity and flexibility in undertaking aggressive tax planning. Conversely, inventory intensity has no significant effect on tax avoidance, suggesting that inventory-based investment does not determine tax avoidance practices. These findings emphasize the need for stricter fiscal oversight on large and high-capital firms due to their higher propensity for tax avoidance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning (STP) strategy contributes to increasing customer loyalty towards Gojek services in the Pasuruan area. This study used a quantitative method by sending questionnaires to 99 people who actively use Gojek services. The results of the validity and reliability tests indicate that the research tool is feasible to use. According to the regression analysis, the STP strategy simultaneously contributed 71.1% to increasing customer loyalty. However, the targeting and segmentation variables did not have a significant effect partially, while positioning was proven to have the greatest influence in building customer loyalty. The results indicate that image and perceived service value are key components in retaining customers. Therefore, Gojek must strengthen its positioning strategy and reconsider how to implement segmentation and targeting to be more efficient.

Abstract

The continuous growth in the use of and purchasing transactions on e-commerce platforms has encouraged logistics service providers to compete in marketing their services in order to attract consumers. This study examines the factors that influence e-commerce users’ decisions in selecting logistics service providers for product delivery. A quantitative approach with an associative research design was employed by analyzing independent variables consisting of cost, time, area coverage, and delivery service features, with intention as a mediating variable and user selection decision as the dependent variable. The respondents in this study were e-commerce users in Palembang City. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method, conducted through the distribution of online questionnaires measured using a Likert scale, supported by secondary data sourced from academic journals, websites, and other relevant sources. Data analysis was carried out using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). A total of 247 respondents met the research criteria. The results show that shipping cost and delivery service quality have a positive and significant effect on users’ selection decisions. Meanwhile, time, area coverage, and service features do not have a significant effect, either directly or indirectly. These findings indicate that cost and service quality are the main considerations and play an important role in shaping users’ intentions and decisions, followed by other factors, although their effects are not significant. Theoretically, this study extends existing knowledge by demonstrating causal relationships among factors influencing consumer decisions in choosing logistics service providers. Practically, the findings are expected to serve as a reference for logistics service providers in e-commerce to create new innovations, particularly by offering competitive pricing and continuously improving service quality.

Abstract

This context necessitates a critical reassessment of International Human Resource Management (IHRM) and Global Talent Management (GTM) practices to sustain employee engagement and long-term organizational performance—especially in emerging markets like Indonesia, where glocal (global-local) tensions shape HR dynamics. This study aims to analyze how IHRM and GTM strategies contribute to enhancing employee engagement and sustainable organizational performance in MNCs. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design, this research employs library research. The population comprises peer-reviewed academic literature; the sample consists of 10 purposively selected journal articles (2018–2025). Data were collected via documentation and systematic keyword searches (e.g., “Global Talent Management”, “Employee Engagement”) across academic databases (Emerald, Springer, ProQuest, MDPI). Sources include scholarly journals, research reports, and case studies of MNCs in Indonesia. Data analysis applied content and thematic analysis through three stages: data reduction, thematic categorization, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal three core pillars: (1) digital transformation as a strategic enabler for talent management, (2) glocal strategy integration balancing global standards and local adaptation, and (3) language competence (particularly English) as essential career capital. Furthermore, human-centric HR practices and inclusive employee voice mechanisms significantly strengthen emotional, cognitive, and behavioral engagement. The study implies that MNCs should adopt adaptive IHRM frameworks that harmonize global cohesion, cultural sensitivity, and ethical digital integration key for talent retention, organizational resilience, and sustainable competitiveness in volatile global markets.
