Abstract

The boycott movement is a public action in response to the genocide situation between Israel and Palestine, which was highlighted by the media at the end of 2023. The public uses all forms of media to spread awareness as widely as possible regarding this boycott movement, one of which is using social media. However, this action did not last long, as can be seen from the fact that several outlets considered pro-Israel were busy again after several months of the boycott movement. So this research was conducted with the aim of finding out the construction of the meaning of boycott according to people who boycott products with the Pro-Israel label. This research focuses on how people construct meaning in a movement that is currently being carried out by society, namely the boycott movement as part of cancel culture. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach proposed by Alfred Schutz to find out how the intrapersonal communication of each boycott perpetrator was formed into a personal construction of meaning regarding the boycott movement they carried out.

Abstract

Transpolitan is a government program to revitalize transmigration areas with a new paradigm. One indicator of Transpolitan's success in the economic dimension is that it can optimize the role of BUMDes as a legal entity that can manage village assets, where the BUMDes workforce absorption rate is the clearest indicator for assessing BUMDes performance. Based on the results of research conducted quantitatively, it was concluded that the internal variables: transportation, population number of people, rural markets, credit facilities, retail trade, tourist attractions have a significant influence on the workforce of BUMDes. However, partially the Transpolitan variable does not have a significant effect on the absorption of BUMDes workforce in Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Transpolitan does not have enough of an impact because it is felt that this program has not ben massively socialized to the community so it has not aroused people's interest in transmigrating to the Mutiara Area, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of Digital Integrated Marketing Communications (DIMC) strategies and local cultural image promotion on tourism sustainability, with a focus on local community involvement as a moderating factor. The primary objective is to understand how effective digital marketing and cultural promotion contribute to sustainable tourism practices and how community engagement enhances these effects. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for data analysis. Data were collected from 200 respondents, including tourists and stakeholders at cultural tourism destinations, using a structured questionnaire with a 1-5 Likert scale to measure DIMC strategies, cultural image promotion, tourism sustainability, and community involvement. The study finds that both DIMC strategies and the promotion of local cultural image positively impact tourism sustainability. Furthermore, local community involvement significantly moderates these relationships, enhancing the effectiveness of marketing and cultural promotion efforts in supporting sustainable tourism. This research contributes to the theoretical understanding of the interplay between digital marketing, cultural promotion, and sustainability by highlighting the crucial role of community involvement. Practically, it underscores the need for tourism managers to integrate local perspectives into their marketing strategies and cultural promotion efforts to achieve more sustainable outcomes. The study provides valuable insights for enhancing the effectiveness of tourism marketing and promoting cultural heritage while supporting sustainable tourism development.

Based on the response of users in the empathize stage with a sample of 43 people selected by random sampling and then analyzed at the define stage, it was found that users need an application that has good security features, users need learning features related to Islam, users need a feature that can review reading and memorization progress, users need a word-by-word and per-verse translation feature for free, and users need an application that does not take up much space on the phone's memory. Based on the results of the research on the development of the digital Qur'an application, it was found that there are 2 new features of the digital Qur'an application that suit the needs of users. These features are features to review the progress of reading and memorization as well as features that contain Islamic teachings such as the teachings of aqidah, morals, hadith, Do-a collections and shalawat collections.

Abstract

The phenomenon of insecurity is an issue that is often faced by today's teenagers, characterized by feelings of dissatisfaction with themselves and fear of the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study is to find out the role of family communication in adolescents who experience insecurity in the city of Bandung. This research uses a qualitative approach (Kriyantono, 2012), which investigates social phenomena that occur in humans. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between feelings of insecurity and decision-making in late adolescence. Adolescents who experience insecurity tend to be hesitant in making their own decisions and often seek validation from others. This study emphasizes the importance of the role of communication in the family, especially democratic communication patterns, which have been proven to help adolescents overcome feelings of insecurity. The three main dimensions that contribute to feelings of insecurity in adolescents are failure or rejection, social anxiety, and the drive for perfectionism. The experience of failure or rejection causes adolescents to feel inferior and incapable in various aspects, which if it happens constantly, can increase feelings of insecurity. It can be concluded that family communication with a good pattern can help adolescents who feel insecure.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of idle games on relaxation and socialization among young adults using a quantitative approach and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. Idle games, characterized by minimal interaction and gradual progression, have gained popularity due to their potential benefits in alleviating stress and promoting social connectivity. Through a quantitative survey involving respondents aged 18-35, we collected data to test hypotheses regarding the relationship between idle game usage, relaxation levels, and socialization. The analysis results indicate that idle games significantly contribute to relaxation, providing a low-stress environment that allows players to unwind. Additionally, these games facilitate socialization by offering platforms for interaction and community building, thereby strengthening social bonds among players. Using the UTAUT framework, we identified that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, and social influence play crucial roles in the acceptance and use of idle games.
