Abstract

Construction projects are a field of work with a high risk of work accidents. CV XYZ, a construction service company, often experiences work accidents on highway projects. These work accidents are caused by human negligence, substandard materials, and inadequate occupational safety and health (OSH) implementation methods. Based on these problems, this study aims to design work accident risk control at CV XYZ to reduce and prevent work accidents on road construction projects. The design of occupational safety and health (OSH) control is carried out by conducting risk analysis on road construction project activities through the HIRADC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determining Control) approach and designing improvements to the occupational safety and health (OSH) control business process. The design of OSH risk control created in this study aims to implement risk control and reduce the risk of work accidents in the company.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the impact felt by the community after the implementation of the VAT rate increase policy on individuals who act as end consumers, and business actors or MSMEs who act as distributors. The method used in the study is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) from various studies on the impact and implications of VAT rate increases in Indonesia. The results of the study show that VAT affects the price of goods and services in the market, increases production costs and selling prices, and worsens inflation. However, the increase in VAT rates can also increase government tax revenues, reduce the budget deficit, and stabilize the country's fiscal condition. In addition, the increase in VAT can affect consumer behavior and business investment, especially in the manufacturing, trade, and service industry sectors.

Abstract

Nuns are a group of Catholic women who choose not to marry in order to focus on special service in the Church according to the rules of the congregation. Some nuns undergo study missions or become female students on public campuses. This research specifically wants to examine how the learning motivation of students who are nuns is. Researchers want to find out how they increase their motivation to learn while still carrying out the demands of the community or institute. This study uses a qualitative method conducted on 4 nuns who are undergoing studies at a university in Yogyakarta. The results of the study showed that they had a unique motivation to learn. The nuns have an intrinsic motivation to learn, namely the desire and awareness to complete their studies quickly. Obedience to the task of community mission is the most powerful extrinsic motivation that influences the ability and interest in learning of Catholic nuns. The mission task gives birth to motivation from within (intrinsic), namely the responsibility to complete the task entrusted to it by the congregation. The nuns also face challenges in studying, especially adjusting themselves due to different ages and the demands of life as nuns. Further research needs to pay attention to the frequency and intensity of interviews and needs to involve other parties who know the nuns who are studying.

Abstract

This research aims at solving the problem of low vocabulary mastery encountered by the class eight students of SMP Negeri 3 Banawa. The use of Kahoot, assisted by input enhancement techniques, was used to address this problem by attempting to increase vocabulary mastery of the students through a two-cycle Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The first cycle consisting of three meetings employed Kahoot, assisted by input enhancement technique with bolded, underlined modified texts, and the second cycle consisting of three meetings utilized Kahoot, assisted by input enhancement with highlighted, enlarged fonts of modified texts. Quantitative data from post-tests and qualitative data from field notes, observation sheets, interviews, and questionnaires were collected to evaluate student progress and engagement throughout the study. The criteria of success applied in this research is 75 or 70 % of the students achieved the passing grade. Result of post-test in the first cycle showed that only 23 % of the students achieved the passing grade. The data from observation and fieldnotes supported the finding that the plans needed to be revised, input manipulation changed and students were grouped. Findings from the intervention in the second cycle denotes that 73% of students achieving the passing grade (KKM) in vocabulary mastery. It means that the criteria of success were fulfilled. In addition, findings from qualitative data indicated the enhancement of student engagement, interaction, motivation, attention, and vocabulary retention. The research highlights the potential of Kahoot assisted by visual input enhancement techniques as a good teaching media to be utilized by teachers in increasing vocabulary mastery of EFL learners.

Abstract

Government support for the property sector through incentive policies, such as the Ministry of Finance Regulation on Government-Borne Value Added Tax (VAT-GOV) on properties, was reintroduced in 2024 to boost economic growth, focusing on the delivery of new landed houses and new apartment units. In this context, property and real estate companies are required to maintain customer satisfaction, which is the key to the company's success. Customer satisfaction not only reflects product quality but also influences the company's brand image. To understand customer satisfaction with product quality, particularly landed houses, PT. Galaxy Alam Semesta conducts periodic surveys of its customers. However, survey results from the first semester of 2023 indicated that customer satisfaction with the quality of houses was still below the company's standards. Therefore, this research aims to evaluate the quality of PT. Galaxy Alam Semesta's houses using the Importance-Performance Analysis method. This research will identify attributes that need quality improvement priority, with the hope of enhancing customer satisfaction and the company's image, as well as utilizing the House of Quality to determine the priority of these improvement proposals. The analysis results indicate that the attributes requiring quality improvement priority are even and non-streaky paint, straight wall corners, even wall and ceiling surfaces, smoothly and easily operable doors and windows, neat and even paint and sealant, even tile installation, and precise and neat installation of door and window accessories. From the analysis of the proposed improvement, five main priorities were identified: increasing the frequency of supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with quality standards, setting limits on the number of units overseen by building supervisors, using higher quality paint, evaluating the quality of door accessories and tile materials, and conducting regular evaluations and selections of contractors.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is an agro-business company in Gresik, East Java, which is currently in the factory construction stage. Field obstacles often occur, so the process of conveying information from all stakeholders involved is important. The author will evaluate communication management factors that influence project success using EFA-Maximum Likelihood and Spearman's rank order correlation. This analysis identified nine important factors: information technology, communication technology, communication skills, communication management plan, teamwork, clear channels in the organizational structure, project requirements management, project risk management, and environmental context. The language acquisition factor was excluded because it did not meet the EFA requirements. Spearman's rank order correlation shows that information technology, communication skills, communication management plans, teamwork, clear channels, project requirements management, and environmental context have a strong relationship with project success. These findings guide improving project communication management to achieve project success.

Abstract

In company operations, of course, records in the form of stock data and transaction data are needed to make reports. Likewise, KOMBAS has still used manual recording so there are still many shortcomings that cause cooperative operations to be not optimal. The method used is a waterfall methodology consisting of needs analysis, system design, and testing. The type of research used is qualitative research by conducting an interview process with a resource person, namely the chairman of the Bekasi Batik Cooperative (KOMBAS). The results of the project are an analysis of business flows, system flows, and business models, and then the final result is a website-based application design that has various features according to the company's needs. The features available in the application include goods data, supplier data, customer data, employee data, and transaction data (sales, purchases, and returns). These features, in addition to being able to enter data, also have access to update and delete. This project concludes that the design of a website-based inventory application will certainly provide efficiency and productivity for cooperatives that provide automation processes, smoother workflows, and faster access to information so that it can save time, costs, and resources, and improve service quality.
