Abstract

Woven fabric is a handicraft that has been passed down from generation to generation and has become a local cultural identity. Woven fabric can be used at traditional events, parties or when welcoming guests. Each motif on woven fabric has cultural meaning and moral values ??that can support tourism sustainability. The aim of this research is to determine marketing communications for weaving crafts as supporting the sustainability of tourism indicators in Sikka Regency. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques using interview, observation and documentation methods. The data analysis technique is carried out by reducing, presenting the data and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the implementation of marketing communication strategies for weaving crafts supports the sustainability of tourism indicators, namely products, prices, places and promotions which include sales promotions and individual sales. Apart from that, digital media can also be used to increase the tourist attraction of woven sarongs. Carry out marketing through cultural performances which are regularly held every year and do marketing through educational tours about weaving crafts. ABSTRAKKain tenun merupakan hasil kerajinan tangan yang diwariskan secara turun temurun dan menjadi identitas budaya setempat. Kain tenun dapat dipakai pada acara adat, pesta ataupun pada saat menyambut tamu. Setiap motif pada kain tenun memiliki makna budaya dan nilai moral yang dapat mendukung keberlanjutan pariwisata. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komunikasi pemasaran kriya tenun sebagai pendukung keberlanjutan indikator pariwisata di Kabupaten Sikka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan metode wawancara, pengamatan, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi, menyajikan data dan manarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi komunikasi pemasaran kriya tenun sebagai pendukung keberlanjutan indikator pariwista yaitu meliputi produk, harga, tempat dan promosi yang meliputi promosi penjualan dan penjualan perorangan. Disamping itu juga dapat menggunakan media digital untuk meningkatkan daya tarik pariwisata terhadap sarung tenun. Melakukan pemasaran melalui pentas budaya yang rutin diadakan setiap tahun dan melakukan pemasaran melalui wisata edukasi tentang kerajinan tenun.

Abstract

The task of public relations has an important role in every institution because the task of public relations or public relations is one of the strategies in shaping the image of the institution, whether it is a positive image or a negative image. In forming the image of an institution, public relations usually has extensive relationships, which requires personal integrity. This research aims to find out how front office personal integrity is represented in Nusa Nipa University's public relations duties and find out the obstacles to Nusa Nipa University's front office services. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data was collected by interviews and observations. The results of this research show that there is a problem found in the front office of the Nusa Nipa University Rectorate, namely that the front office has not received special training regarding personal integrity, apart from that there is only one front office staff, so they experience problems if quite a lot of guests come at the same time. From these problems it can be concluded that the personal integrity of front office staff plays a very important role in creating a positive image of the institution, especially in direct interactions with the public, lecturers, students and guests. ABSTRAKTugas public relations atau humas memiliki peranan penting dalam setiap lembaga karena tugas public relations menjadi salah satu strategi dalam membentuk citra lembaga baik itu citra positif maupun citra negatif. Dalam membentuk citra suatu lembaga, humas biasanya memiliki relasi yang luas untuk itu diperlukan personal integrity. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana representasi personal integrity front office dalam tugas humas Universitas Nusa Nipa dan mengetahui hambatan-hambatan pelayanan front office Universitas Nusa Nipa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya permasalahan yang ditemukan dalam front office Rektorat Universitas Nusa Nipa ialah front office belum mendapatkan pelatihan khusus terkait personal integrity, selain itu staf front office hanya satu orang sehingga mengalami kendala jika tamu yang datang cukup banyak dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Dari permasalahan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa personal integrity staf front office memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam menciptakan citra positif institusi, khususnya dalam interaksi langsung dengan publik, dosen, mahasiswa dan tamu.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The field of managing public opinion and aspiratios, Sikka Diskominfo uses instagram as a public information medium for Sikka district. With instagram, Diskominfo Sikka should be able to facilitate communication between the government and the public. However, in practice the communication that occurs is less effective on the @InfoSikka account. This research aims to find out of the reasons why Diskominfo Sikka uses instagram as a means of disseminating information and secondly how the field of managing public opinion and aspiratios manages instagram conten as a public news. This research is qualitative research with the consept of a public relations model. This research approach is descriptive analysis, post positivm paradigm, and case study method. The result of this research show that Diskominfo Sikka chose instagram as as a public information because of the large number of application users, as well as the convenience, speed and visual features it offers. Diskominfo Sikka spreads News in the form of press release content, although few people respond, Diskominfo Sikka continues to consistenly produce news every day so that there is always information about Sikka district. Keywords: Instagram, Media Information, Sikka Regency

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Diskominfo) Kabupaten Sikka sebagai Media Center dalam menyebarkan informasi selama erupsi Gunung Lewotobi. Diskominfo berperan penting dalam menyediakan informasi yang akurat dan transparan untuk masyarakat terdampak bencana. Dengan memanfaatkan media sosial, aplikasi pesan, dan radio komunitas, Diskominfo berhasil mengatasi tantangan komunikasi dan menangkal hoaks. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun ada kendala infrastruktur dan sumber daya manusia, Media Center Diskominfo berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat dan mempercepat penyebaran informasi. Penelitian ini juga menyoroti pentingnya kolaborasi antara Diskominfo, BPBD, relawan, dan lembaga sosial dalam mengelola komunikasi selama bencana.

Abstract

Mass media plays an essential role in delivering information to a wide and diverse audience, including in economic reporting. Journalistic language, as a medium of mass communication, must adhere to the principles of clarity and simplicity to enhance readers' understanding. However, the implementation of journalistic language in online media is often suboptimal, with various issues such as ineffective sentences, improper spelling, and inefficient word usage. This study focuses on the application of journalistic language in reporting on MSMEs in the online media Ekorantt.com. This research employs a qualitative approach with observation, document study, and text analysis methods on three selected news articles. Data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that although the three articles have implemented most of Hemingway's principles, such as using short, active, and simple sentences, several deficiencies remain, such as repeated information, lengthy compound sentences, and irrelevant phrases. In conclusion, by simplifying sentences, enhancing language efficiency, and avoiding irrelevant elements, text quality can be improved to meet Hemingway's journalistic standards, producing clearer, more engaging, and efficient news articles.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the optimization of the role of the Protocol and Communication of the Leadership (Prokompim) of the Sikka Regency Secretariat in providing public information services through the Sikka Buletin Facebook account. The focus of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of social media content management and communication strategies to increase public involvement. A qualitative approach is used to describe content management based on observations, interviews, and documentation studies. Data were collected through interviews with the admin of the Sikka Buletin Facebook account and followers as well as analysis of published content. The data analysis technique adopted the Flow Analysis Models of Miles and Huberman, which include data reduction, data presentation, and verification to produce in-depth understanding. The results of the study indicate that although Prokompim has attempted to manage content using the 5W1H elements with a formal but relaxed communication style, there are still challenges in increasing audience engagement. The main findings include low public interaction with posted content and less than optimal time and collaboration in content management. This study recommends a more planned time management strategy, collaboration with related agencies to enrich content, and a focus on audience engagement to strengthen the relationship between the government and the community through social media.

Abstract

The digitalization of archive management represents a strategic step toward modernizing government administration. This study examines the implementation of the Integrated Dynamic Archival Information System (APLIKASI SRIKANDI) at the Regional Archives and Library Office of Sikka Regency. Key aspects explored include challenges in digital archive transformation, objectives of system integration, methodologies employed, and the outcomes achieved, alongside future prospects for improvement. The study highlights the role of Universitas Nusa Nipa students’ internship programs in supporting digital archive initiatives. The findings reveal that APLIKASI SRIKANDI has significantly improved the efficiency of archival management processes. However, technical limitations, inadequate technological infrastructure, and human resource constraints remain challenges. To address these issues, the study recommends enhancing infrastructure, offering comprehensive training programs, and developing inclusive digital communication strategies. These efforts aim to optimize system implementation and ensure sustainability in achieving a fully integrated archival management framework. This research underscores the importance of strategic planning and collaboration in driving successful digital transformation within the public sector.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis article discusses the role of the Instagram account "Jelajah Maumere" as an information platform for promoting culture in Sikka Regency. The account was initiated by the Sikka Regency Tourism and Culture Office as an effort to introduce local cultural richness to a broader audience (tourist information center). Using a qualitative approach, this study analyzes content, user interactions, and the impact of the promotion. The results show that "Jelajah Maumere" has successfully enhanced the visibility of local culture and serves as an effective communication tool between the government and the community.

Abstract

Effective communication is crucial in enhancing skills and productivity in various sectors, including community and organizational development. Conflicts often arise in daily interactions, and effective communication plays a pivotal role in identifying and resolving these issues constructively. This research aims to describe the activities carried out during training organized by the Sikka Regency Manpower and Transmigration Service at the Karya Ilahi Foundation and Avco Dai Adaesa Bola Processing to find out the role of effective communication in improving skills and productivity at the Karya Ilahi Foundation. Researchers used descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques use observation and documentation. The results show that with effective communication, conflicts can be identified and resolved in a constructive way. Interesting during the training at the divine work foundation: This training provides a number of materials about dealing with children with special needs, so that teachers and employees are better prepared to deal with various situations in the school environment. Providing this training helps the community to better utilize local resources such as coconut which can be processed with various types, one of which is VCO.
