Abstract

Tax avoidance is one of the issues that has attracted researchers' interest in financial management, and efforts to understand the causative factors are of serious concern. This study explicitly reveals the determinants of tax avoidance using the fundamental factor approach (profitability, leverage, and firm) in the automotive sector manufacturing companies. Moreover, the role of size as a moderator is also tested in the proposed model. The data analysis technique shows that profitability, leverage, and size have a negative effect on tax avoidance. Furthermore, the confirmed size moderates the relationship between leverage and tax avoidance but not profitability. The results of this study provide new insights into the role of size, which has been proven as a moderator of tax avoidance.

Abstract

This article aims to discover the role of the Unilever For Indonesia Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program (Unilever's hashtag for Indonesia) in assisting micro, small and medium enterprises in Indonesia to continue selling in healthy and safe conditions. The main objective of this program is to support the survival of MSMEs amid a pandemic that hit not only Indonesia but also on a global scale. This research approach is quantitative associative, which examines the relationship between two independent and dependent variables. The sample was 71 students of the College of Economics, Business Development and Management (STIE PBM) East Jakarta. The results of this study indicate that the CSR program carried out by PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk. have a positive and significant impact on the company's image.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of organizational culture and leadership on satisfaction and performance and place compensation as a control variable. Data were obtained through questionnaires, and hypotheses were tested by path analysis. The analysis results support the proposed hypothesis that organizational culture positively and significantly affects job satisfaction and performance. Similar results were also obtained where leadership significantly affected job satisfaction and employee performance. Finally, job satisfaction in this study was shown to predict performance directly and act as a mediator of the relationship between organizational culture and leadership on employee performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether food quality, price, environmental location and service quality affect customer satisfaction, and whether customer satisfaction affects customer loyalty as well, and to determine whether brand image strengthens or weakens customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. This study uses a survey method with an questionnaire for data collection. This research method uses multiple linear analysis test, the population and sample of this research are customers who are located around Tangerang. The total number of samples in this study were 150 respondents. The results of this study explain that food quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, and price has a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction, and location and environment have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, and service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, and brand image moderates customer satisfaction and customer loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and discipline on job satisfaction and its impact on teacher performance at a high school in Central Tapanuli Tengah. Data were collected by questionnaire involving 133 teachers. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS) was used to test the hypothesis. The results of this study indicate that motivation and work discipline has a positive and significant effect on satisfaction and teacher performance. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant impact on teacher performance and mediates the relationship between motivation, work discipline, and teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Regional Original Revenue (PAD), General Allocation Fund (DAU), Special Allocation Fund (DAK), and Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH) on the Human Development Index (IPM). The population in this study were districts/cities in all provinces in Kalimantan for the 2015-2019 fiscal year. This study uses the purposive sampling method in determining the research sample to produce as many as 200 research samples. The data used in this study is secondary data originating from the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The hypothesis testing in this study is multiple linear regression and descriptive statistical tests using SPSS 26. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Regional Original Revenue (PAD) has a positive and significant effect on the Human Development Index (IPM), 2) General Allocation Funds (DAU) have a negative and significant effect on the Human Development Index (IPM), 3) The Special Allocation Fund (DAK) has a negative and significant effect on the Human Development Index (IPM), 4) Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH) have no effect on the Human Development Index (IPM). 5) PAD, DAU, DAK, and DBH simultaneously affect the IPM.

Abstract

This examination was led to analyze the financial health with the factor Current Proportion, Obligation to Value Proportion, Absolute Resource Turnover, and Firm Size on Benefit Development. This examination utilizes populace and test organizations in the shopper merchandise industry area which are recorded on the Indonesia Stock Trade in 2017-2019 and there are 19 organizations that meet the standards. The logical device utilized is different straight relapse examination. The example is dictated by purposive inspecting method to get an agent test as per determined models. In view of the aftereffects of the examination note that All out Resource Turnover and a critical impact on Benefit Development, while the Current Proportion, Obligation to Value Proportion, and Firm Size don't fundamentally impact Benefit Development. The size of the impact is 0.350 or 35%, while the leftover 65% is affected by different factors outside the investigation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and prove that the influence of good corporate governance, disclosure of corporate social responsibility, and firm size has implications for the company's values. The sample in this study amounted to 100 from the observation data of the population of 25 companies in the consumer goods manufacturing industry sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2016-2019. The sampling technique uses the purposive sampling method. Data analysis techniques use analysis using SPSS version 23. The results of this study show that good corporate governance proxied through the audit committee and for disclosure of corporate social responsibility is positive and not significant to the company's value. At the same time, the firm size has a positive and significant on the value of the company.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and determine the accuracy of the dimensions of brand equity (brand awareness, perceived quality, and brand associations in influencing brand trust. This study examines instant noodle brands as research objects. The number of samples used was 170 respondents. The sample determination used was the purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by distributing questionnaires. In analyzing the data, it was carried out using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the variables of brand awareness, perceived quality, and brand associations affect consumer trust. This research is expected to confirm the accuracy of the dimensions of brand equity in predicting consumer trust. The practical contribution of this research is that it can provide information to academics and practitioners about the application of brand equity dimensions in predicting consumer trust in instant noodles: indomie and mie sedaap.

Abstract

Sponsors have become one of the essential factors in sports activities, and their role as one of the critical aspects in implementing sports activities cannot be denied. Especially for sports teams, sponsors can provide additional funding that can support operational activities. Meanwhile, from the perspective of sponsors, companies' involvement in providing their support is based more on promotional strategies to expand the symbolic value of sponsors. This brief commentary briefly describes sponsorship, marketing, and future study opportunities.
