Abstract

Bhatara Shiva's teachings comprise various moral, ethical, and susila values. This value is exceptionally well practised and implemented in daily life. This value is included in Balinese Hindu religious texts, notably lontar texts. From ancient times to the present, the existence of lontar manuscripts to be studied and researched proceeds to expand to reveal character education values. One of the teachings of Hinduism is conveyed through stories. Character education is conveyed so that humankind is presented descriptions of knowledge, between good and bad; thus, they can choose one of those options. Both good and bad deeds have their respective consequences, which of course all religions expect that humans frequently do good things. Lontar Andha Bhuwana carries out stories regarding the teachings of Bhatara Shiva which need to be observed because they contain conversations between parents as a father (Bhatara Siwa), as a mother (Bhatara Giri Putri), and as a child (Bhatara Gana / Ganesha). This story is highly relevant as a reflection of education, primarily character education and has meaning in forming household harmony. Obligations as children devoted to their parents, be grateful for life, self-purification (pangruatan), and harmonise nature.

Abstract

The activities that the teacher does are hard work, smart work, and sincere work, and discipline must be used as guidelines in character education in schools. This is very important, especially to achieve optimal results, so that students as the young generation have the expected high characteristics which is the hope of the Indonesian government. This is done is to prevent public concern over the loss of identity / character in students. With a high character so that it will bring moral learners rooted in philosophy, experience and have cultural and religious values of the Indonesian nation. Thus character education must be continuous and never ending (never ending process), as an integrated part of preparing the nation's generation, which is adapted to the human figure having a future. Character education must grow up the philosophy and practice of the whole character of this nation.. The character of the nation contains cultural that must be manifested in the cultural awareness and cultural intelligence of every citizen of the country.

Abstract

The development of the world of education in Indonesia today is still experiencing various problems and challenges. One of the most recent challenges faced is due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, which causes the entire learning system in educational institutions to experience a change from face-to-face learning to distance learning or to be transferred into the learning process to online or online learning methods. The disruption of the learning process causes several changes to occur in students which in turn also affect their learning motivation. This study uses quantitative research methods, using the sampling technique used is accidental sampling. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMK Negeri 5 Denpasar who participated in the online or online learning process. The data analysis method used in this research is using the Mann Whitney U analysis method. This type of research is a quantitative research combined with qualitative in explaining the results of the analysis of the learning motivation of students. The theoretical foundation in this research is the theory of learning motivation and the aspects that influence learning motivation. The results of this study indicate that the significance value of the Mann Whitney U is 0.000, which means the motivation to learn Hindu religious education in students who take online or online learning in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic situation has decreased, because the significance value of 0.000 is less than 0.05 ( p <0.05).

Abstract

Penulisan karya ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji lebih dalam tentang pendidikan budi pekerti yang berlandaskan pada kitab suci Veda. Terutama sloka-sloka yang bisa dijadikan dasar dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan budi pekerti. Penulisan karya ilmiah ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka, dengan melakukan kajian berdasarkan referensi atau literatur yang tersedia, seperti buku, terutama dari artikel-artikel yang dipublikasikan dalam berbagai jurnal ilmiah. Hasil penulisan karya ilmiah ini menunjukan pentingnya pendidikan budi pekerti yang mengajarkan tentang nilai-nilai humanitas misalnya prinsip kejujuran, memperjuangkan keadilan, sikap dan menghargai perbedaan yang ada. Apalagi pendidikan budi pekerti yang didasarkan pada kitab suci veda mendorong kebiasaan berperilaku terpuji sesuai nilai-nilai unversal dan tradisi budaya yang religius. Sejumlah sloka dalam kitab suci Veda pun menajarkan untuk pentingnya menjaga keharmonisan dengan menekankan ajaran-ajaran budi pekerti, terlebih manusia sebagai makhluk sosial memerlukan bantuan dan kerja sama, khususnya pada tingkat keluarga. Jadi menjadi hal penting untuk menguatkan pendidikan budi pekerti pada peserta didik, melalui tranfer ajaran-ajaran yang tercantum dalam kitab suci Veda.

Abstract

Kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi digital memungkinkan terjadinya penemuan antara generasi tua dan generasi muda. Oleh karena itu, orientasi-orientasi nilai pendidkan multikultural di kalangan generasi muda terutama pada kalangan anak-anak, khususnya pada sikap atau kepercayaan beragama dan budaya(kebiasaan ) sehari – hari. Tentunya sangat penting dalam melatih generasi muda untuk menjadi generasi penerus yang merupakan tanggung jawab keluarga, masyarakat dan negara bangsa. Pendidikan multikultural dalam pendidikan agama Hindu sejatinya dapat memobilisasi dan mengamalkan ajaran agama Hindu sehingga membentuk nilai moral dan etika yang luhur sesuai dalam kitab suci weda tepatnya pada bagian Canakya Niti Sastra. Dalam Kitab Canakaya Niti Sastra pendidikan multikultural tersirat bahwa nilai pendidikan multikultural pada anak–anak sangat berkaitan mengajarkan hubungan antar makhluk hidup yang saling menerima dan mengharagai (Tri Hita Karana). Kitab Canakya Niti Sastra ini mengajarkan kebahagiaan, pengendalian hawa nafsu, amarah, lobha, penguasaan pikiran, amalan dharma, kedamaian dan lain-lain yang mengarah pada jalan kebenaran yang akan memberikan keharharmonisan khususnya pada anak – anak dengan lingkungannya. Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi dan ilmu digital saat ini telah mempengaruhi kebiasaan karakter dan nilai moral pada anak – anak yang justru dihadapkan pada tantangan berat. Anak – anak harus diarahkan untuk menilai dan menyesuaikan akhlaknya. Pendidikan multikutural dalam ajaran agama Hindu tersirat pada kitab Canakaya Nittisastra ini agar dapat menjadi agen normatif yang membangun setiap karakter, kebiasaan, moral, akhlak pada anak –anak melalui kearifan lokalnya yang diartikan sebagai motivasi.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peningkatan produktivitas dan nilai belajar mahasiswa di tengah pandemi COVID-19 melalui implementasi pembelajaran mandiri. Penerapan model pembelajaran mandiri ini didasari dengan adanya himbauan serta kebijakan pemerintah yang mengharuskan serta mewajibkan dosen dan mahasiswa melakukan proses pembelajaran dirumah masing-masing. Subjek utama penelitian ini yakni seluruh mahasiswa semester I Kelas A Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Hindu Fakultas Dharma Acarya Universitas Hindu Negeri I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa Denpasar dengan jumlah 28 Orang. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan 98% mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan produktivitas belajar yang didukung dengan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dengan persentase 96%. Peningkatan ini dibuktikan dengan membandingkan nilai UTS dengan nilai UAS. Peningkatan nilai belajar mahasiswa ini tidak lepas dari dukungan orangtua, pengawasan dosen serta program pembelajaran daring menggunakan zoom. Selain itu program pembelajaran berbantukan youtube juga merupakan salah satu penunjang implementasi pembelajaran mandiri, disamping buku-buku pembelajaran yang diperoleh secara online. Model pembelajaran mandiri ini dirasa produktif diterapkan ditengah pandemi COVID-19 ini guna mendukung kebijakan pemerintah dalam melakukan social distantancing sekaligus untuk meningkatkan produktivitas belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

Education is a conscious effort for the development of students towards their best achievement. The phrase best achievement is defined as the achievement of a person to become an expert or expert in one field. These ideals are very noble and become the concentration of policy holders in implementing the education system and seem flawless. The linearity of the education system is the answer to the government's desire to make students an expert in one field of science. The assumption of perfect linearity in education is refuted when expertise is not accompanied by qualified moral aspects and a plurality of perspectives in solving life's problems. This threat is seen when linearity in the field of education is not accompanied by a broader perspective to understand the very complex problems of life. The importance of understanding the threat of the linearity of education is the best way to foster sensitivity and diversity in solving problems of human life.

Abstract

Potential growth in school children is carried out by teachers through character education by preserving local wisdom. Local wisdom is an intelligence possessed by certain ethnic groups, which is obtained through the experience of the ethnic struggling with their environment, Haryono (in Gunawan, 2015:17). When a society adapts to its environment, they develop a good wisdom in the form of knowledge or ideas, tools, combined with customary norms, cultural values, activities to manage the environment to meet the needs of their lives. Local wisdom is the result of a process of adaptation from generation to generation in a very long period of time to a natural environment in which to live. Local wisdom is generally in the form of oral and written in a social system of society. Local wisdom is closely related to geographical conditions or the natural environment with values that can be the main capital in building a community, with the characteristics of local wisdom including the ability to withstand external culture, to accommodate external cultural elements, to integrate elements of foreign culture into indigenous culture, to control culture, and to provide direction to cultural development. The strengthening of local wisdom in Tenganan Pagringsingan can be sustainable until now based on non-formal early character education, where parents in the villages of Tenganan Pagringsingan Banjar Kauh and Banjar Tengah have educated their children through speech and messages. which refers to the awig-awig of the traditional village of Tenganan where in the awig-awig there is an order that regulates the social life of the local community and sanctions against violations of the awig-awig.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of conflict resolution teaching model towards Hindu Religious’s academic achievement with multicultural attitude and self-efficacy covariable. This quantitative research study was conducted to students of PGSD department in Ganesha University of education using experiment method with Single Factor independent groups design with use of covariate and involved 67 students. Data were analyzed with covariance analysis (ANACOVA). The result this research study shows: 1) there are differences in Hindu Religious’s academic achievement between students who involved in conflict resolution model learning with students who involved in conventional learning. 2) There are differences in Hindu Religious’s academic achievement between students who involved in conflict resolution model learning with students who involved in conventional learning by controlling multicultural attitude. 3) There are differences in Hindu Religious’s academic achievement between students who involved in conflict resolution model learning with students who involved in conventional learning by controlling self-efficacy. 4) There are differences in Hindu Religious’s academic achievement between students who involved in conflict resolution model learning with students who involved in conventional learning by controlling multicultural attitude and self-efficacy simultaneously.

Abstract

Currently, almost all countries around the world are experiencing a crisis due to being infected with the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19). This virus originally appeared in China, to be precise in the City of Wuhan in December at the end of 2019. Covid-19 is very dangerous because the transmission from human to other humans is so fast and even until now there is no medicine that can cope with the corona virus, including in Indonesia, which is increasingly increasing the number of COVID-19 cases. As a result of this epidemic, it has had a huge impact on almost all aspects of life, starting from the economic, social, cultural and even educational aspects. Almost all levels of education that were initially carried out in school learning have now shifted to online learning. This journal aims to explain the effect of independent character education on students during online / online learning. This study is carried out through literature study by looking at the results of surveys and journals from electronic media. The conclusion of this journal is that there is an implementation of self- cultivation in students during the online learning process at SMK Negeri 5 Denpasar.
