Abstract

Based on the results of the Field Study at the Bengkalis State Polytechnic Machine Tool Workshop practice, duringthe metal cutting machining process, there is an interaction between the tool and the workpiece. The friction experienced bythe tool is caused by the flowing grunt surface and the surface of the workpiece that has been cut. As a result of this friction, the tool suffers from wear. The wear of this tool will increase to a certain extent. The length of time it takes to reach this wearlimit is defined as tool life. The factors that affect tool wear are temperature and cooling media on the average value of aresponse. From the data, it can be seen that the decrease in wear from temperature from 800 to 1000 0C there is a significantdecrease in the average response. For the refrigerant media factor, the difference in influence between salt, bromus oil, andSAE 20 oil was also seen, where salt provided the highest average HSS tool wear value, followed by bromus oil, and the lowest wear was SAE 20 oil of 0.066 mm. This indicates that the tool wear is lower and the tool is harder than the tool before heattreatment quanching at 1000 °C

Abstract

With the advancement of technology and the growing awareness of environmental protection, electric motorcycles arebecoming increasingly popular as eco-friendly alternatives to conventional motor vehicles. The modification of the 2010 HondaBeat is one such electric motorcycle model that has gained public attention due to its attractive design and reasonably goodperformance. However, despite the rising popularity of electric motorcycles, there are still some technical aspects that needfurther analysis to ensure optimal performance. One important component in a motorcycle is the transmission system. Thetransmission system functions to convert engine power into motion at the drive wheel. The cause of slipping that occurs in the2010 Honda Beat electric motorcycle is overly loose tension. In the 2010 Honda Beat electric motorcycle, the transmissionsystem has been changed from a belt drive transmission to a sprocket transmission system, with a ratio of 15 teeth on the frontsprocket and 32 teeth on the rear sprocket, resulting in a sprocket ratio of 2.128. The chain speed is 7.7 m/s with 76 chain links ora length of 84.22 cm. The transmission system on this electric motorcycle uses a number 40 single-chain drive.

Abstract

The problem with this boiler is that the steam produced is not continuous, meaning that at a pressure of 1 bar, thesteam lasts for approximately 2 minutes, and the heating process of this fire-tube boiler is also prolonged, taking around 95minutes from the start until reaching a temperature of 100°C. This results in the need for more used oil as fuel. Some initialanalyses to solve these issues include increasing the heating surface area of the boiler or the combustion chamber by adding watertubes and using wood as the fuel. The objective of this research is to analyze the heating time, steam retention time, wood f uelconsumption, and efficiency before and after the modification with the addition of water tubes. The method used is experiment al.The tests conducted before modification showed a heating time of 45 minutes, and with the addition of water tubes, the heatingtime was reduced to 36 minutes. The steam retention time before modification was 4 minutes, while with the addition of watertubes, it increased to 4 minutes and 42 seconds. The total wood fuel consumption for the fire-tube boiler to reach an operatingpressure of 3 bar required 33.2 kg of wood, and after the addition of water tubes, the total consumption to reach 3 bar wasreduced to 27 kg of wood. The efficiency of the fire-tube boiler before modification at 1 bar pressure was 66.6%, at 2 barpressure 59.3%, and at 3 bar pressure 51.6%. After adding water tubes to the fire-tube boiler, the efficiency increased, with theefficiency at 1 bar pressure being 74.5%, at 2 bar pressure 68.8%, and at 3 bar pressure 62.9%. This indicates that the addition ofwater tubes can improve the boiler's efficiency.

Abstract

Electric vehicles represent an effective alternative to reduce environmental pollution caused by emissionsfrom fossil fuel-powered vehicles. This study utilizes a 1500-watt Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motor as the drivemotor. Unlike conventional DC motors, BLDC motors operate with three phases, requiring an automation system toensure optimal distribution of current and voltage across each phase. For motor control, a Convenient Speed Controlsystem with a maximum power of 3000 watts is implemented. This system allows the vehicle to move forward andbackward, as well as enabling manual throttle operation. During the experiment, the fully charged battery displayed aninitial voltage of 53.2 volts for the forward mode and 52.8 volts for the reverse mode. The current required for forwardmovement was measured at 18 A, while for reverse it was 12.9 A. The minimum speed achieved by the electric vehiclewas 88.8 RPM, whereas the maximum recorded speed was 316.9 RPM. Thus, this control system is not only efficient inregulating speed but also provides flexibility in operating the electric vehicle, supporting efforts toward moreenvironmentally friendly transportation solutions.

Abstract

This paper discusses a 58 volt battery voltage control system for electric vehicles using the Blynk application. The research successfully monitors the amplitude of the battery voltage. Additionally, it includes the capability to controlthe battery via an SSR relay, which is connected to the NodeMCU ESP8266. The Blynk application displays both theamplitude and the percentage of the battery voltage. The NodeMCU ESP8266 has demonstrated reliable performance, maintaining a stable connection as long as it is connected to the internet. The average voltage discrepancy shown on theBlynk application is 0.74%. The SSR relay disconnects the power supply to the electric vehicle when the battery voltageapproaches 46.3 volts or when the battery capacity percentage drops to 0.16%. This system ensures that the battery ismanaged effectively, preventing over-discharge and potential damage by disconnecting the load at critical voltage levels

Abstract

Server security on a computer network is very important, maintaining the security of a computer network inorder to maintain information, data and maintain infrastructure so that it can work and function properly and provideaccess rights to registered users, this research, aims to build an IDS (Intrusion Detection System) on the network andServer using Raspberry Pi with SNORT which is useful for monitoring Server activity when an attempted attack occurs. With the increasing complexity of network attacks carried out by attackers, intelligent and adaptive approaches areneeded to detect and overcome these threats. Traditional methods such as rule-based or signatures are often not effectiveenough in the face of evolving attacks. The large amount of network traffic data makes it difficult to manually analyzeand detect attacks. Naive Bayes has a very important role in the classification and detection of network attacks, bothconsidered malicious and highly malicious, By using Naive Bayes, network security systems can become more proactiveand adaptive to attacks. This technology not only helps in detecting familiar attacks but also enables identification andresponse to new or unknown attack techniques. Through proper classification, the system can provide better protectionand reduce the impact of attacks.
