Abstract

Servers have an important role in managing and serving requests from clients. So that high availability is needed to handle risks in server use. Cluster technology is needed, so that the server load is shared evenly. However, to run clustering, it requires the application of a method, namely the HAProxy load balancer which works by evenly distributing the traffic load to the clustered physical servers. By implementing Kernel-Based Virtual Machine (KVM) virtualization technology. In KVM virtualization there is a technology used, namely Kubernetes. From the results of this final project, the results of the High Availability testing carried out are known that the server performance with scenario 5 access experiments 20-500 users with stress testing. Parameters measured are throughput and monitoring system usage of CPU, memory according to user access load. Which is the highest value of Througput on parameter 500 clients worth 1330.6/ sec. The presence of 2 servers provides performance test results. In standby, the lowest CPU usage and memory usage occurs on the main server, which is 0.07% and 24% because there are no nodes running on top of the virtual machine. In a busy state, the lowest CPU usage occurs on the main server is 1.06% due to the division of workload on virtual machines. The lowest memory usage occurs on the main server server is 24% because there are no nodes running on top of the virtual machine.

Abstract

Electrical energy is one of the most important human needs and cannot be separated from daily needs. Lack of electrical energy can interfere with human activities as well. Therefore, the availability of electrical energy must be maintained. In Indonesia, the need for electrical energy is increasing because it is seen from population growth and advances in information and technology. The use of electric power is usually more widely used in the study rooms at the Bengkalis State Polytechnic, especially the Electrical Engineering Department consisting of classrooms, and laboratories and electrical workshops. In this study room, the electrical installation system is still conventional to turn on the lights, air conditioning and laboratory equipment centered on the panels in each room. Problems arise when room users do not turn off electrical equipment after the lecture is over and leave the room. The wasted use of electrical energy in the study room can be minimized by updating the conventional control system to semi-automatic. The system applied is smart door and smart class is an access to the electrical system by attaching the RFID card of lecturers who enter the class to the RFID access control. The test results show thatRFID access control detects RFID cards up to a distance of 6 cm. The exit button uses a low activation system where when pressed the output voltage is 1.10 volts and when released the output voltage is 17.41 volts. The electric bolt lock terminal voltage when active is 0 volts and when not active is 14.18 volts. The activation time of the RFID reader switch is 1.08 seconds and the deactivation time is 29.51 seconds. The system can work with a 100% success rate and an average execution time of 2.27 seconds.

Abstract

Computer laboratories at universities, especially vocational campuses, are very important because they function as a support for practicum courses. Today's data storage systems continue to grow, one of which is network attached storage (NAS), NAS is a storage device system that is connected to a computer network that uses the system. special operations to serve the needs of files and data files. In this study, a NAS-based centralized data storage system with Raspberry Pi will be built to support lectures in a computer network laboratory, currently the distribution process for lecture materials is carried out with a flash drive so that it is less effective and efficient, so a NAS is proposed in order to facilitate data exchange between lecturers and students. , students can access lecture materials that have been shared by lecturers and can collect practical reports on practical results. The NAS system that was built can be accessed via a personal computer/laptop with each student's name on the local network in the computer network laboratory

Abstract

Edi Furniture is a business that is engaged in furniture and furniture and has been running for about 30 years. Many buildings such as schools, health centers, police houses, and other buildings have furniture and furniture made in Edi Furniture. Many contractors are already clients of Edi Furniture. However, payments and data processing are still done manually. That way we need a system that can process the furniture sales process online, can provide information from wood processing to completion, and process data obtained from the sales process in the form of order reports, payment reports, product reports, and Inventory reports. The solution to this problem is the construction of a system "Design and Build a Web-Based Furniture Sales System with the Prototype Method". This system can facilitate the product marketing process, can carry out the sales process easily and efficiently, and can perform data processing quickly and precisely. This system uses black box testing and usability testing. The development of this system was completed in 2 iterations and the system worked for approximately 4 months. Based on the results of black box testing, it can be concluded that the functionality of the system has been successful. Meanwhile, based on questionnaire testing on users, it was found that 81.11% of this system was satisfactory for users, and based on questionnaire testing on employees it was found that 88% of this system was satisfactory for employees.

Abstract

Piping installation is a unified series of pipes or systems to drain fluid to the desired place by using pipes according to specifications. The piping system is usually equipped with components such as valves, flanges, elbows, branches, nozzles, reducers, supports, insulation and others. The Department of Marine Engineering is one of the majors at the Bengkalis State Polytechnic with facilities and infrastructure, one of which is Pipe and Plate Workshop. The production activities and the teaching and learning process cannot be separated from the plate cutting and painting processes that require compressed air and O2. For the effectiveness of the activities in the Pipe and Plate Workshop, a system for installing compressed air and O2 is carried out. Then the pipe installation system is tested based on the needs of the work carried out at the Pipe and Plate Workshop. Based on the test results on the air pipe installation system, the pressure drop at the outlet valve to the inlet pressure is obtained, namely outlet 1 of 0.1 bar, outlet 2 of 0.3 bar and outlet 3 of 0.4 bar. For the O2 pipe installation system, it is found that the output pressure drop (outlet) to the inlet pressure is large, namely outlet 1 of 0.38 kg/cm2 and outlet 2 of 0.51 kg/cm2.

Abstract

This test is to see the performance of the pump in series and parallel installation using a centrifugal booster pump to drain Crude Palm Oil. The fluid flow is monitored by a pressure gauge as a pressure detector and a flowmeter as a flow meter to detect Crude Palm Oil’s flow. Has a reservoir with a volume of 45 liters, and uses a 1 inch galvanized pipe. The largest pressure value is obtained by a series pump circuit, of 6 Psi. While the lowest pressure value is obtained by a parallel pump circuit, which is 3 Psi. At a temperature of 80°C, the largest flow rate produced by a parallel circuit is 60 lpm, while the smallest discharge is produced by a series pump circuit of 32 lpm. Meanwhile, at room temperature, the parallel circuit flow rate was recorded at 17 lpm, and the series pump circuit as much as 12 lpm. The pump with the best efficiency with a series circuit is 97%, while in a parallel pump circuit it is 89%.

Abstract

Regional Revenue Agency Batam City has the task of carrying out regional authority in themanagement of regional original income, regional tax revenues, regional levies, BUMD profits and otherlegitimate income. In order to achieve the objectives of the Batam City Bapenda, which is to realize accountableand transparent financial and regional wealth management, the Batam City Bapenda has prepared a strategy thatis to perfect tax regulations or regulations, especially to increase local tax revenues, improve local revenuemanagement facilities, and fulfill a tax system that accountable and transparent. A structured tax system andgood service help Batam City Bapenda in carrying out its duties and authorities. In the service flow, the runningof a file takes a long time, because it requires confirmation from several fields in the Batam City Bapenda. Theservices that enter the Batam City Bapenda are approximately 20 files a day, this happens periodically, so thatthe tax authorities often find out about the existence of a service file and many files are lost due to not runningone service flow. So, we need a PBB-P2 Service File Tracking System which is implemented with a web-basedcomputer. The application is built using the Prototyping research method, and produces applications that can beused by the Batam City Bapenda to overcome various existing problems.

Abstract

Instalasi Pengolahan Air atau Water Treatment Plant (WTP) merupakan pengolahan air kotor agar memenuhi standar mutu yang memenuhi syarat pendistribusian. Air kotor tidak akan menyebabkan gangguan kulit jika tidak diolah. Berdasarkan observasi di Water Treatment Plant PT. Pertamina Refinery Unit II Dumai pada tanggal 17 Januari 2022 terdapat beberapa Tangki dan kolam yaitu Raw Water Pond, Clearator, IntermediatePond, Sand Filter Tank dan Treated Pond. Pada Tangki sand filter akan dilakukan kontrol dan monitoring serta ditambahkan sensor turbidity, pH, flow meter, dan water level agar standar mutu terpenuhi. Sistem kontrol dan monitoring masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga diperlukan sesuatu sistem otomatis untuk melakukan kontrol dan monitoring. Sistem proyek akhir yang akan dibuat masih berupa prototipe dengan kondisi yang mengacu pada plant Tangki sand filter yang sebenarnya yang ada di WTP Pertamina Refinery Unit II Dumai. Data sensor akan dibaca Arduino Mega 2560 dengan program PLC yang mengontrol valve dan pump lalu ditampilkan pada HMI Magelis GTO2310. PLC mendapatkan data pembacaan sensor dari Arduino melalui fungsi %IWN, dengan komunikasi Ethernet TCP IO Scanner. Selanjutnya mengkoneksikan HMI dan PLC untuk memonitoring sistem kerja sensor dan dikontrol pada PLC. Kualitas air yang baik akan diperoleh saat dilakukan sistem backwash berulang. Dengan adanya sistem kontrol dan monitoring yang otomatis maka akan meningkatkan efisiensi kerja operator.

Abstract

Used cooking oil is the final product of oil used for frying or cooking in the manufacturing, restaurant and household industries which is often not utilized. Most users will throw the used cooking oil waste into inappropriate places such as in the kitchen, sink or so on, the used cooking oil can harden and clog the sewer pipe. This can also result in the formation of a thin layer on the surface of the water which can reduce the concentration of dissolved oxygen needed by living things underwater. To reduce the impact of waste cooking oil that will occur in the water system, this study intends to develop magnetic charcoal from palm oil shells to process used cooking oil waste into a pretreatment for biodiesel production. Biodiesel is a promising alternative fuel as a substitute for fossil fuels that are decreasing. The purpose of this study was to utilize magnetic charcoal from palm oil shells to reduce free fatty acids from waste cooking oil as a pretreatment for biodiesel production. The method used is pyrolysis and coprecipitation with the formation of magnetic charcoal from oil palm shells with the precipitation process with FeCl3 (iron III chloride) and FeSO4 (iron II sulfate). then tested the characteristics of the magnetic charcoal that had been produced using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Next is to test the absorption of free fatty acid reduction from used cooking oil using magnetic charcoal that has been produced by varying the time, concentration and dose of magnetic charcoal to get the maximum adsorption capacity. Then do adsorption 3 times to evaluate the efficiency of reduction of free fatty acids in used cooking oil as a pretreatment for biodiesel production

Abstract

There are several Social Assistance (BANSOS) distributed by the Ministry of Social Affairs to each village, one of which is the Family Hope Program (PKH) social assistance which is a program of providing conditional social assistance to poor families (KM) designated as PKH recipient households. So far, for checkingthe data of proposing aid, the social service staff still uses the manual method so it takes a long time, but in this study the author created a system that will later assist the process of managing data for PKH beneficiaries so that results will be faster and more accurate. which makes the provision of PKH assistance more targeted.The methodthat will be used in the decision support system for receiving social assistance this time is the Multi Attribute Utility Theory method, and the data collection technique is literature study and observation.The results to be obtained are in the form of recommendations for decision making regarding the determination of PKH assistance.
