Abstract

So far, very little information about the final project product of the PSTI (Informatics Engineering Study Program) Caltex Riau Polytechnic, this is evidenced by the results of a survey about the knowledge of the final project product that is produced is still unknown and from the survey conducted shows that 30% know and 70% still do not know, therefore a solution was made so that PSTI can be better known by making a video profile based on the final project product of the 17th generation of PSTI. In making this profile video using motion graphic techniques because by using this technique there are many elements that will be used. The results obtained from the making of PSTI profile videos using motion graphic techniques for the needs of PSTI Caltex Riau Polytechnic as a promotional media have been successfully created, this video helps PSTI to be known by many people through digital media in the form of profile videos, this is proven based on the tests conducted using the Pre-test and Post-test methods, the results obtained showed an increase in understanding of 27.11%, which means that the video media as a promotional medium is very effective as an effort to promote PSTI Caltex Riau Polytechnic.

Abstract

Motorized vehicles are one of the most important needs in everyday life. Every year in Indonesia there is always an increase in the number of motorized vehicles along with the increase in population. Many researchers in the field of information technology use image processing systems to investigate and develop systems that can be used on public roads, one of which is to detect motor vehicles. In general, the methods that are often used to detect objects are Haar cascade, YOLOV3, and TinyYOLOV3. In this study, a comparison was made, to determine the best accuracy of the three methods in detecting motorized vehicles. The test was carried out using Python 3.10 software that has been installed with OpenCV, where the test was carried out using a video with a duration of 1 minute 23 seconds which was downloaded from the youtube.com site. Based on the test results, the YOLOV3 method gets the best level of accuracy, which is 74%. For the Haar cascade method, the accuracy value is 41%, and TinyYOLOV3 produces an accuracy rate of 25%.

Abstract

All investors should strive to beat the market, that is, get a higher return than the market return, which is usually represented by an index. Composite Stock Price Index is the name of the stock market index in Indonesia (IHSG). The "Dogs of the Dow" investment strategy steers the portfolio toward high-yield investments in an attempt to outperform the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) every year. The overall idea is to invest money in the top 10 stocks among the 30 DJIA components with the largest dividend yields. A company's ability to pay dividends provides insight into its value. Testing Dogs of The Dow begins with the selection of stocks with the highest dividend distribution. The author uses stock data recorded on (IDX High Dividend 20) which is accessed from idx.co.id. The author takes stock samples from this index because all of its stocks have distributed cash dividends every year for the last 3 years and have daily trading values in the regular market at least IDR 1 billion for the last 3 months, 6 months and 12 months. The Dogs of the dows strategy had pretty good results. This can be seen from the results of the average return calculation, where 8 of the 11 Dogs of the dows strategy data were able to beat the market returns, namely the JCI, namely in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2021. in 2011 the average market return was at 1.16% while the Dogs of the dow strategy had a return of 1.34%. The biggest return was in 2016, where the Dogs of the dow strategy was able to reach 4.95%, while the average return from the JCI was only 1.30%.

Abstract

Ayam Geprek Family is one of the fast-food businesses. This business was founded in 2019 and is in Tanah Putih Tanjung Melawan. Ayam Geprek Family uses a make-to-stock business strategy, i.e., production will still be carried out without an order. Inventory of raw materials is important and very influential in the smooth production process. The condition of the high production volume has not been supported by the calculation of the optimal use of raw materials, resulting in several impacts. The main impact of the excess is the high cost of storage. On the other hand, the capital allocation for other investments cannot be done optimally. As well as the reduced quality of raw materials that are stored for too long. Therefore, handling and control are needed that can assist in monitoring the procurement of raw materials. The development of this procurement monitoring system uses material requirements planning (MRP) and forecasting techniques. System development using extreme programming (XP) approach. This research produces a system that can display information on planning and ordering raw materials in schedules and notifications to make monitoring easier. The time for system development using extreme programming becomes more effective and efficient, which is approximately 3 months. In black box testing, the system can run 100% of all features. In white box testing, the results of the Cyclomatic Complexity calculation are 18 regions for the MRP program algorithm.

Abstract

In the process of filing incoming and outgoing letters at the Batam City Transportation Agency, it is still done manually, that is by recording them in a book. All letters are placed in archive folder, then placed in a filing cabinet. With the management of incoming and outgoing letters archives like this can result in accumulating letters archives. Not only that, if you want to find old letter data, it will be difficult to find it. Delivery of incoming letters to certain department is also done manually, that is, delivering the letter to that another department. From these problems, a system regarding letters archiving is built. With this system for filing incoming and outgoing letters, it is hoped that it can help the secretariat department in reducing the difficulty and time spent on delivery and searching for letters data. This system is able to forward incoming letters to any department and archive incoming and outgoing letters. In addition, this system can also print archive reports by the month. The system uses the waterfall method to build. This system also uses the PHP programming language and MySQL as database management system.

Abstract

Virtual reality (VR) is a technology that displays a virtual world at the same time as the real environment. Several studies related to the application of virtual reality technology include motivation, experience and understanding. One of the technologies used in this research is the development of VR on the web or called Web VR. This framework can be embedded in the job market information system (SIMJOF). Web Virtual Reality can be patented in a web environment and can interact with queries to produce a more dynamic web. Web VR is an implementation of Virtual Reality on a website without using additional technology such as VR glasses. Web VR implementation using A-Frame technology which is a web framework for building virtual reality experiences with html and entity components. In this study, Virtual Reality is used to describe the state of the job market in the Polymedia virtual space. Users will be invited around to visit the boot of each company. In addition, users can access information related to company profiles and job listings. 3D animation created using Blender software. 3D models are created to depict the real job market environment. The Job Fair was held at the Polimedia Hall Tower E, the State Polytechnic of Creative Media. The job fair environment consists of the building environment, stage environment, stand environment, people, and attributes. The virtual tour is linked to a navigation bar listed in the submenu of the website. Functional testing of the application using alpha testing shows that the functions on the virtual tour (virtual reality) menu can work well (Fulfilled/T).

Abstract

Parameters of resistance, inductance and capacitance on the lines of the electric power system will affect the reliability of the electric power system. The resistance (R) and inductance (L) parameters form a series impedance that is evenly distributed along the power line, while the capacitance (C) parameter occurs between the single-phase and neutral lines of the three-phase power line system. An increase in the value of the capacitor parameter (2uF, 4uF) on the line causes a voltage gain at the Overhead end of the line (U2 > U1), and an increase in the inductor parameter value (1,2H, 0.9H) on the line causes a weakening of the voltage at the Overhead end of the line (U2 < U1) with constant resistance parameter values (100%, 80%, 60%, 40%) . Current attenuation occurs when the end of the line is loaded with RC (U2 < U1) and current gain occurs when it is loaded with RL (I2 > I1). Changes in voltage and current affect PQ (PQ2 > PQ1). Significant gain occurs when the end of the channel is loaded with RC.

Abstract

The large number of client requests can cause excessive workload on the server so that it can make the server down. Because it uses cloud computing services that can increase the number of client requests. With the cluster technology in cloud computing, the server workload will be divided evenly or balanced to each server. Clustering can be combined with containers where each process or application running on each container has the same kernel. Therefore, we need an application capable of managing containers, one of which is Kubernetes. Kubernetes has several components, namely clusters, pods, services and nodes that need to be monitored. To be able to carry out monitoring, an application that can help is used, namely Prometheus and Grafana. Prometheus will retrieve the data in Kubernetes, then the data that has been obtained by Prometheus can be visualized with Grafana. Grafana can convert metric data into graphs that are easy to understand and interactive. Based on the results of functionality testing that has been carried out, Prometheus has succeeded in reading data from the target server and Grafana has succeeded in displaying it in graphical form. In the test, from 5 trials of 20-100 user access, the monitoring system can show the amount of CPU usage, memory, and traffic load that can continue to increase according to the user's access load.

Abstract

Problems Internet connection is an impact of interference experienced at important moments, where the impact can cause financial losses due to the delay in sending or uploading and downloading a file. Problems that occur on the internet include not being able to connect to the internet, slow internet connection, so that it cannot share files in the local network. And this is a factor that decreases performance results in any institution. This Expert System was built to diagnose internet connection problems, where this expert system uses the Backward Chaining Method, which is tracking backwards which starts reasoning from conclusions (goals), by searching for a set of hypotheses towards facts that support a set of hypotheses these. Backward Chaining Inference Engine, often called Object-Driven or Goal-Driven. If the premise clause matches the situation (TRUE value), the process will state the conclusion

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to increase knowledge about computers to high school students and equivalent In Lintau Buo, the activity carried out is a workshop on the introduction of computer hardware and software, based on observations of the ability of high school students equivalent around lintau buo about computer equipment is still low, because a workshop on computers was held. The place for the workshop was the Politeknik Negeri Padang, Tanah Datar Campus, the stages of activity starting from Preparation, Implementation and Evaluation. The number of participants in this workshop was 20 people from MAN 3 Tanah Datar, SMAN 1 Lintau Buo, SMKN 1 Lintau Buo and SMAN 2 Lintau Buo. The workshop material provided is an introduction to Hardware Software, Assembling a computer and installing applications on a computer. The impact of this workshop can be seen from the results of the Pretest and Posttest where when the Pretest the average score of the participants is 56.5 after attending the workshop and doing the Posttest the average score of the participants increases to 85.
