Abstract

Technological developments ensure food quality and food safety when the Covid-19 pandemic in innovation and application develop rapidly. This is related to food safety which prioritizes body health. Beef is a source of animal protein that is needed to complete nutritional needs to maintain body health and immunity. Beef is a food material that is susceptible to damage due to microbiological and chemical activities. In general, people can only assess the quality and freshness of beef by conducting a sensory evaluation, namely the visual, smell, and texture processes. Sensory evaluations tend to be subjective in nature which is accepted by human reason. It is very ineffective to be used as the same parameter by everyone. Moreover, in support of new habit patterns, there must be renewable technology that can help to reduce direct contact between people being marketed. So we need indicators that can answer the freshness of local beef which is more practical and can facilitate all levels of society. The smart label based on purple cabbage anthocyanin can be a product that helps people see the freshness of beef very easily. Several previous studies have stated that anthocyanins in fruits and vegetables can be a natural indicator that can harm the volatile gases present in meat during the storage process. Purple cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) is known to have a very high anthocyanin content. Besides that, the color density produced by purple cabbage makes it possible to support smart labels. In this study, the extraction of purple cabbage anthocyanin by maceration method used two different types of solvents, namely 96% methanol acidified with 1% HCl and 95% ethanol which was acidified with 3% Citric Acid so that the best total content of purple cabbage anthocyanin was 87,324 mg / 100g with a pH of 5.4. Smart labels are made into edible films with a mixture of chitosan, polyvinyl alcohol, and CMC. The parameters of the freshness level of the meat are based on the pH and Total Microbial tests on beef. From these parameters, changes in smart labels are avoided so that it can change changes in the quality of meat in packaging. Fresh beef has a pH ranging from 6.7 - 7.2 then will experience a decrease in pH to 5.4 - 5.5 (ultimate pH of beef) and then beef tends to increase in pH (spoilage process). In this pH range, it can be divided into three types of groups of smart label indicator color change which results in grouping data on meat products, namely fresh, still fresh, and not fresh.

Abstract

This study aims to identify risk attitude and analyze its changes by presenting information related to COVID-19 pandemic with gain-loss framing. 152 respondents aged 18-23 years, with the status of active undergraduate students or fresh graduates, and stayed in Special Region of Yogyakarta Province, Indonesia, participated in this study. RiBy using lottery choice questionnaire to measure risk attitude in initial condition, it is found that 47% of respondents tend to be risk averse, which is being uncomfortable with risk. 28 selected respondents join the gain-loss framing experiments that present series of video news related to COVID-19 pandemic with predetermined tone (gain or loss). Hypothetical gamble survey based on video news are used to measure risk attitude after the experiment. It is known that gain framing information affects someone to be risk averse, while loss framing information makes someone to be risk seeking or feeling comfortable to any risk in decision making. Media coverage are recommended to use gain framing information to control human behavior and support government's policy in complying health protocols and stay at home during COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

PT. Z is a company located outside Java, to be precise in the industrial area of Batam city, whose business process is to make to order. This company has a mission to build up goodwill and trust from their customer upon uncompromising quality and on time delivery that come with very competitive pricing. To achieve this mission, PT. Z has an adequate material and spare part supply system so that when there is an order from a customer, it will be done immediately without waiting for the spare part to arrive. The problem faced by this company is that there are many spare parts that are arranged untidy and difficult to find, besides that some items have been damaged due to too long accumulation in the warehouse. The application of the 5S (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke) approach and FIFO system in spare part management warehouse is used to reduce time waste caused by inefficient layout of spare parts. After applying these two methods in managing spare parts, there are some decreases in the activity time to find fast moving spare parts from 1.782 minutes to 0.983 minutes and the activity to search fast moving spare parts from 1.688 minutes to 0.9 minutes. While for the slow moving parts there is a time decrease of 0.881 minutes for storage activity and 1.471 minutes to search activity. For fast moving spare parts and slow moving spare parts both have increased efficiency. The percentage of store activity efficiency are 81% and 62%, while the efficiency of the activity to store spare parts are 87% and 55%. Fast moving parts and slow moving parts both have an efficient and effective layout with a systematic storage method.

Abstract

The economy of a country is basically supported by many sectors, one of which is the automotive industry sector with the designation as a provider of transportation facilities. The policy regarding transportation facilities is supported by the ministry of industry which issued a policy on environmentally friendly cars or low cost green cars (LCGC). Apart from being environmentally friendly, the car also has an affordable price in the community. Forecasting sales of LCGC cars is important for many companies that use past sales data to predict the amount of production that must be done so that goods continue to sell according to company targets. This will have an impact on the life and death of the automotive industry sector in the region. Important forecasting is done by many companies that use past sales data to predict the amount of production that must be done so that goods continue to sell according to the company's target. The data used in this research is secondary data. The secondary data needed in this study is the data on LCGC car sales in Indonesia from December 2019 to November 2020 obtained from secondary data sources. The data analysis method used in this research is exponential smoothing and trend analysis using POM QM software for Windows. The results also show that a good method to use as a sales forecasting method is the exponential smoothing method. This is because this method has a smaller MAPE value than the MAPE value in the trend analysis method. The MAPE figure for exponential smoothing is 4.9%, while the MAPE figure on the trend analysis method is 6.69%. In the exponential smoothing method, it is predicted that the sales of LCGC type cars in the next period are approximately 8448 units, while according to the trend analysis method, the sales forecast for the next period is 3894 units.

Abstract

The main role of packaging in the food industry is to preserve and protect products from external contamination such as light, heat, oxygen, moisture, microorganisms, and others. Product shelf life can be increased by reducing the risk of contamination from microbes, especially for products that are vulnerable to temperature and light such as pasteurized milk. Consumers generally evaluate the quality and freshness of packaged foods through the shelf life printed on the package. Still, for some products, the shelf life date is not enough to evaluate the quality and freshness of the food. In this regard, using the color indicator packaging has been found to be an innovative and smart process for detecting, tracking and protecting the quality of food, and it turns out to be an ultimate tool for safe and convenient food packaging. Smart packaging can show the color change of the packaging film according to the state of the food and evaluate the quality or freshness of the packaged food in real-time, is increasing. Anthocyanins, a family of polyphenol-based flavonoids, are natural colorants that reflect light from red to blue in the visible spectrum. Recently, studies on anthocyanins are rapidly increasing as an alternative to toxic synthetic food colorants due to their excellent functional properties. Anthocyanin’s pH dependent color change properties are very important in that it can monitor food quality, indicate the shelf life of food, increase consumer interest in food, and eventually be used as a color indicator in food packaging applications. The pH indicator used in this study was sourced from purple sweet potato extract with edible film membranes from chitosan, and CMC. In this study, the extraction of purple sweet potatoes was carried out with ethanol: acetic acid: aquadest as a solvent with a ratio of 25:1:5 ml, so that a total anthocyanin content was obtained of 70.16 ± 0.899 mg / 100 g with a pH of 5.60 ± 0.015. The freshness parameter of the milk can be seen from the color change on the label that shows the pH of the product. If the pH gets lower than the pH of the milk, the product has spoiled. The label contains three color parameters that indicate that the milk is fresh, still fresh, and not fresh. Therefore, the pH indicator label developed can be used as a diagnostic tool to detect product freshness.

Abstract

Tourism is a sector that is currently a priority for the current government. This is not something that is surprising, because Indonesia has thousands of tourist destinations. The types are also very diverse according to the natural, cultural and historical riches in Indonesia which are unique to each. The government is targeting tourism as the largest contributor to foreign exchange. D.I Yogyakarta itself has a tourist attraction that will not disappoint visitors. The designation of Yogyakarta as a tourism area illustrates the potential of this province in a tourism perspective. Various types of tourism objects have been developed in this area, such as nature tourism, historical tourism, cultural tourism, educational tourism, and shopping tourism. One of the tourist sites in D.I Yogyakarta that must be visited is the Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano. This tourist location has received many awards so it is indeed worth a visit. This study aims to determine what factors influence the revisit intentions of tourists to the Gunung Api Purba Nglanggeran. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained by using direct interviews with tourists who have come to Gunung Api Purba Nglanggeran at least twice. Secondary data is used to strengthen primary data. Secondary data were obtained from relevant sources such as books and journals. This study used a sample of 60 people. The data analysis method used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. There are three independent variables used in this study, namely attractiveness, service quality and facility, while the dependent variable used in this study is revisit intentions. Based on the results of research using the F-test, it can be concluded that the independent variables of attractiveness, service quality and facility together have an effect on the dependent variable revisit intentions. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be seen that there are two variables that affect revisit intentions in Gunug Api Purba Nglanggeran, namely the attractiveness and service quality variables, while there is one variable that has no effect, namely facilities. The attractiveness variable has a t test significance value of 0.0178 while the service quality variable has a t test significance value of 0.0001. The meaning of these two values means that both of them are less than the alpha value of 5% so that both variables are significant. If you look at the value of the regression coefficient on the attractiveness and service quality variables, it is positive so that the increase in the value of both will increase the interest in returning to Gunung Api Purba Nglanggeran
