Abstract

This research explores the relationship between smartphone use and prosocial behavior in fifth grade elementary school children. The aim is to provide a description of smartphone usage patterns and identify prosocial behavior associated with the use of this technology. The research design uses a correlation method to evaluate the relationship between the two variables. The results of the analysis show that although the level of smartphone use is still low, children's prosocial behavior in the context of smartphone use is at a moderate level. An important finding from this research is that there is a relationship between smartphone usage patterns and the prosocial behavior of fifth grade elementary school children. The implication of these results is the importance of understanding the use of technology in the context of developing children's social behavior. This research uses an instrument in the form of a questionnaire about smartphone use and prosocial behavior. In conclusion, this research highlights the importance of paying attention to smartphone use and the development of prosocial behavior in children in today's digital era. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between smartphone use and prosocial behavior in fifth grade elementary school children. Even though the level of smartphone use is still low, children's prosocial behavior in the context of smartphone use is at a moderate level. These findings demonstrate the importance of understanding the use of technology in the development of children's social behavior.

Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of student activity in social studies learning, such as students being less active in asking questions related to the material, students less active in giving responses or answers given by the teacher, students never writing or taking notes on lesson material, no discussion activities, lack of interest in working on or solving the problems given. Apart from that, student motivation in learning social studies is still low, namely students are less enthusiastic about learning social studies and less diligent in facing the tasks given by the teacher. Some of these problems resulted in the average daily test score for students in the observation class being less than the maximum, namely 76, this shows that there were 23 students whose scores were still below the KKM score for social studies subjects, namely 80, while students who finished with scores above the KKM were only a total of 13 students from the total number of 36 students. The formulation of the problem in writing this thesis includes: (1) Is there an influence on the application of the Project Based Learning learning model on the learning activities of Class VII social studies students at MTs Negeri 1 Blitar?, (2) Is there an influence on the application of the Project Based learning model Learning on the learning motivation of students in Class VII social studies at MTs Negeri 1 Blitar?. Meanwhile, the aim of this research is to find out: (1) whether there is an effect of implementing the Project Based Learning learning model on student learning activities in class VII social studies at MTs Negeri 1 Blitar. (2) Is there an effect of implementing the Project Based Learning learning model on student learning motivation in class VII social studies at MTs Negeri 1 Blitar. The benefit of this research for students is that it is hoped that it can increase student learning activity and motivation. For teachers, the Project Based Learning learning model can be used as an approach to learning that can be applied in thematic learning. For schools, as consideration for school principals to improve the quality of education at MTs Negeri 1 Blitar and can be used as input in order to improve the quality of education in class VII thematic learning. And for researchers, it is useful as an effort to develop the application of the Project Based Learning Model directly because researchers can find out and understand problems in schools, as well as to fulfill one of the requirements for completing undergraduate studies in writing scientific papers at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Tadris Social Sciences Study Program. The research method used in this research is quantitative research with a Quasi Experimental Research approach. The research was carried out by dividing students into two groups, namely the control group which took part in conventional learning and the experimental group which applied the Project Based Learning learning model. The population in this study was all students in class VII MTsN 1 Blitar, while the sample used was class VII-7 and VII-11, totaling 72 students. This is used to explore or obtain research data that will be used by researchers. The research results show that the application of the Project Based Learning learning model has a positive effect on students' learning activities and learning motivation. Students who take part in learning with this model show a significant increase in learning activity and learning motivation compared to students who take part in conventional learning. This is proven through the results of questionnaire data analysis and observation sheets as well as hypothesis testing carried out using the Independent Sample Test. The significance value obtained from the results of the learning activity questionnaire hypothesis test is (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05 and the significance value from the learning activity observation sheet is (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. Meanwhile, the significance value of the hypothesis test results of the learning motivation questionnaire is (2-tailed) 0.003 < 0.05 and the significance value of the learning motivation observation sheet is (2-tailed) 0.001 < 0.05. This indicates that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, indicating that there is a significant influence from the application of the Project Based Learning learning model on students' learning activities and learning motivation..

Abstract

Developing teaching variations is an important effort to increase the effectiveness of the learning process in the classroom. In teaching, teaching variety includes the use of various techniques, methods and approaches that are adapted to the needs and learning styles of students. This research aims to analyze the effect of teaching variations on student motivation and learning outcomes. Using appropriate teaching variations can help maintain students' interest and involvement in learning, thereby having a positive impact on their academic achievement. The research results show that teaching variations involving collaborative activities, simulations, the use of technological media, and the application of active learning strategies have a significant impact in increasing student motivation and learning outcomes. Therefore, teachers are advised to continue to develop and integrate teaching variations in learning activities to create a more effective and enjoyable learning experience for students.

Abstract

This study discusses the convergence between sustainable development and ecological preservation in Kahuripan Village, Tasikmalaya City. The socio-ecological adaptation of the Kahuripan community involves social, economic and physical environmental aspects, with a focus on community participation, social change and social welfare. Implementation of environmental ethics is the key to maintaining a balance between development and environmental sustainability. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research results show that the socio-ecological adaptation of the Kahuripan community involves the practice of conserving natural resources, reducing negative impacts on the environment, building green infrastructure, and environmental education. Despite efforts such as processing organic waste, saving water, and environmental cleanliness activities, there are still challenges such as lack of greenery and awareness in waste disposal. The convergence between sustainable development and ecological preservation in Kahuripan Village is important to maintain a balance between economic, social and environmental development and to become an example for other regions in efforts to achieve sustainable and environmentally sound development.

Abstract

Humans have diverse life needs, to fulfill these diverse life needs a person must work, whether working in the formal sector or the informal sector. In order to work in the formal sector a person must have adequate knowledge and skills. Apart from that, job vacancies in the formal sector have employee acceptance limits. This is what causes many people to work in the informal sector to meet their various life needs. One of the jobs included in the informal sector is the home industry. The home industry discussed in this research is the palm sugar making home industry in Sialang Village, Bangun Purba District. The aim of this research is to find out the socio-economic conditions of the home industry owners who make palm sugar in Sialang Village. This research uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach with data collection techniques consisting of interviews, observation and literature study. The main informants in this research consisted of 5 owners of palm sugar making home industries in Sialang Village. The research results show that the socio-economic status of the owners of the palm sugar making home industry is unstable because the income obtained from the palm sugar making home industry is very dependent on natural resources. However, home industry owners who make palm sugar feel that the income they earn can fulfill their various life needs.

Abstract

Education is a field that continues to develop along with technological developments. One effort to optimize learning is by digitizing teaching materials. Learning in the digital era requires teachers to optimize the use of technology in compiling teaching materials. This article aims to provide a guide to digitizing teaching materials for teachers at SDN 03 Situjuah Banda Dalam, with a focus on optimizing learning. This research provides a guide to digitizing teaching materials for teachers at SDN 03 Situjuah Banda Dalam. The research method used is qualitative research, with data collection techniques through literature study, observation, and interviews with teachers who have experience in digitizing teaching materials. Apart from qualitative research methods, the methods also used are literature studies and field observations to evaluate teacher needs and learning conditions in the school. The results of this research are a step-by-step guide regarding the process of digitizing teaching materials, as well as strategies for optimizing learning using digital teaching materials and providing practical guidance in utilizing digital technology to improve the quality of learning at SDN 03 Situjuah Banda Dalam. It is hoped that this guide can be a reference for teachers at SDN 03 Situjuah Banda Dalam and other schools in facing the era of digitalization of education.

Abstract

The limited competence of an educator has a major influence in determining the quantity and quality of teaching which will ultimately play a role in improving the quality of education. This study aims to describe the process of using wordwall learning media with scrabble words games, the achievement of early childhood outcomes and educators, supporting and inhibiting factors, and how to overcome obstacles. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. The data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. Data validity techniques used source triangulation and technique triangulation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman analysis model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the process of vocabulary recognition through wordwall learning media with scrabble words games in the implementation process was in accordance with the existing components, starting from pre-cycle, cycle 1, which contained planning, action, observation, and reflection. While the achievement of the results of students and educators is classified into normative or relative criteria and absolute criteria. Supporting factors after the use of wordwall learning media with scrabble words games are pictures and vocabulary that make children interested in wanting to learn it. While the inhibiting factor is that the letters in the scrabble media are capitalized which makes it a little difficult for children to find them. Overcoming these obstacles, educators balance capital letters during learning and provide easy vocabulary for students.

Abstract

Kampung Kuta is one of the traditional villages in West Java located in Ciamis Regency. The people in Kampung Kuta have a unique culture and become a reference for the survival of all elements of society there. However, on the other hand, the phenomenon of modernization has spread throughout the world and affected the lives of people including the people of Kampung Kuta. This qualitative research using observation and interview methods succeeded in finding important information about the attitude of the people of Kampung Kuna towards modernization. This modernization is not rejected by the people of Kuta Village as long as it does not violate the customary rules that are believed, therefore adaptation during the era of modernization in Kuta Village is an interesting thing to study because new things that come from modernization can adapt and go hand in hand with the customs that are believed.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the adaptation of the Kampung Naga community to changes resulting from tourism activities, while maintaining environmental and cultural sustainability, as well as its impact on the economic, social and cultural conditions of indigenous communities. Kampung Naga is very interesting to learn about so it attracts the interest of outsiders to visit. This causes changes in society as a form of adaptation to tourism activities. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method which describes a phenomenon, human behavior or conditions in a particular place in the form of narratives or images. The research results show that there are adaptations made by the community as a response to the changes that occur when traditional villages become tourist villages. The community shows a forward and open mindset as a form of adaptation to changes brought about by tourists. Changes in community activities as a form of adaptation and adjustment to tourism activities. Suitability and adaptation of community objects to the needs and comfort of visitors.

Abstract

This research discusses the development of religious tourism in Situ Lengkong Panjalu, Ciamis Regency and its impact on the local community. Situ Lengkong Panjalu is a lake in Panjalu Village which is a pilgrimage destination because of its religious and historical stories. The local government is revitalizing infrastructure to increase tourist attraction. However, the development project caused significant economic changes for local merchants. Even though there has been an increase in income for motorcycle taxi drivers and traders who have shifted to tourist locations, negative impacts have also occurred such as decreased income and community involvement in development planning. This research aims to understand how society adapts to these changes and cope with the increase in visitor interest. With a good understanding of socio-economic adaptation, tourism management can be more sustainable and inclusive.
