Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of Third-Party Funds (DPK) and deposit interest rates on the financial performance of Bank BJB, with financial literacy as an intervening variable. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon that increases in DPK and competitive deposit interest rate strategies do not always lead to optimal financial performance. This indicates the importance of internal factors, particularly the financial literacy of management and front-line employees, in managing funds, assessing risks, and making effective financial decisions. This research employs a quantitative approach using multiple regression analysis and mediation testing. The analysis is conducted through several stages, including descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption tests, two-stage regression analysis, and significance testing (t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination). The mediation effect is examined using the Sobel test and/or bootstrapping methods. The results are expected to show that DPK and deposit interest rates have both direct and indirect effects on financial performance through financial literacy. Financial literacy acts as an intervening variable that strengthens the relationship between external factors and financial performance by improving fund management effectiveness, risk control, and decision-making quality. This research contributes theoretically to the development of financial literacy literature in the banking sector and provides practical implications for Bank BJB management in enhancing financial performance through strengthening internal capabilities.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the demands of digital transformation in the banking sector, which require an adaptive, innovative, and collaborative work culture to enhance sustainable employee performance. Although Bank BJB has shown improvement during 2022–2024, challenges remain, including uneven cultural implementation, low employee participation, and limited knowledge sharing. This research aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and innovation on employee performance with knowledge sharing as an intervening variable in Bank BJB.. This study uses a quantitative approach with causal design to examine the cause-and-effect relationship between organizational culture (X1) and innovation (X2) variables on employee performance (Y), either directly or indirectly through knowledge sharing (Z). The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression to test the direct influence and mediation between variables. The results of the study are expected to show that organizational culture and innovation have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, both directly and through knowledge sharing as an intervening variable. Knowledge sharing plays an important role in strengthening the relationship between organizational culture and innovation on employee performance, thereby creating a productive, adaptive, and learning-oriented work environment. The implications of this study provide recommendations for the management of Bank BJB to strengthen an adaptive organizational culture, improve the innovation ecosystem, and optimize a digital-based knowledge sharing  system  to support the improvement of employee performance and company competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to identify factors influencing the stability of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2022-2024. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data derived from annual financial reports of 46 banking companies, resulting in 138 observations. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis, preceded by classical assumption tests, including normality, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and heteroscedasticity tests. The results show that the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and the Operating Expenses to Operating Income ratio (BOPO) have a negative and significant effect on bank stability. Meanwhile, the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Non-Performing Loans (NPL) do not have a significant effect on bank stability. Simultaneously, CAR, LDR, NPL, and BOPO have a significant influence on bank stability. In conclusion, banking stability is determined by the combined performance of financial ratios, particularly capital management and operational efficiency. Therefore, banks are required to optimize the management of these factors in order to maintain financial stability and enhance resilience against economic uncertainty

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of used cooking oil into aromatic candles as an innovative strategy to support sustainable tourism development in Ngestirejo Tourism Village, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. The research is motivated by environmental challenges related to improper disposal of used cooking oil and the need to develop community-based tourism products that align with circular economy principles. The objective of this study is to analyze the environmental, economic, and social impacts of repurposing used cooking oil into value-added products within a rural tourism context. This study employs a convergent mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys of tourists and qualitative data from interviews, observations, and documentation involving local community members. The results show a significant improvement in environmental awareness, increasing from 30% to 78% among the community. Additionally, approximately 120 liters of used cooking oil were successfully repurposed into around 200 units of aromatic candles, contributing to waste reduction and environmental sustainability. From an economic perspective, the initiative generates additional income opportunities for local residents, while socially, it enhances community participation, empowerment, and collaborative engagement. Furthermore, tourist responses indicate high levels of satisfaction and interest in eco-friendly products, highlighting the potential of such innovations to enrich visitor experiences and strengthen destination branding. In conclusion, the Waste-to-Value approach demonstrates strong potential as a sustainable tourism strategy that integrates environmental management, community empowerment, and economic development. This study contributes theoretically to the application of circular economy concepts in community-based tourism and practically offers a replicable model for developing sustainable, small-scale tourism innovations in rural areas.
