Abstract

TThe king pineapple plant (Agave Cantala Roxb) is a plant that grows in lowlands and hills with a stem height between 150-200 cm, and leaf lengths between 90-100 cm, on the inside of the leaves contain a lot of fiber wrapped in green outer ciliates. The quality of paving blocks with additional material of fibers of king pineapple leaves with a size of 2-3 cm, with a percentage of 0%, 3%, 5% and 7% of the weight of cement, in a ratio of 1: 5, then molded with a size of 20 cm x 10 cm x 8 cm. Conducted testing of the tensile strength of single fibers and compressive strength of paving blocks. The results of the takari sand fine aggregate gradation test meet the requirements of SNI 03-1986-1990 in zone III. Specific gravity testing is classified as normal fine aggregates of 2.5 to 2.7 according to SNI 1968-1990. The test results of sludge content of 2.62% ? 5% SK SNI S-04-1989-F, the content weight of 1,550 Kg/cm ? 1.2 Kg/Cm³ refers to the 1989 PBI. Test results Single tensile of king pineapple leaf fibers averaged 196,692 MPa. The weight of the block paving volume decreased by 2.16%, while the absorption of block paving water increased by 0.91%. The test results of the strongest compressive strength of paving blocks are found in additional materials of 5% capable of withstanding a load of 57.56 Kg / cm².

Abstract

This study aims to find a communication model for people of different religions in Ntaram, Flores and East Nusa Tenggara. The Ntaram understand their world as a synthesis perpetuated by differences. The Ntaram use the walls of their house as a medium to express their religious identity. The theory that is relevant to analyzing forms of symbolic communication is the theory of symbolic interaction. The Symbolic Interaction Perspective sees the social structure that is formed precisely by interaction. The way they communicate sets them apart from the rest of the family. In the process of meaning, there is a mental activity that distinguishes the meaning of human action from the movement of animals. Interpretation activities become a bridge between stimulus and response. The method used is qualitative with an ethnographic communication strategy. In this case, the researcher's task is to try to interpret and understand the behavior patterns and forms of communication of members of a community. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with purposively determined key informants. Also through Focus Group Discussion (FG), and observation, especially to obtain data related to context. The research findings show that the wall is who they are. Every data of the sili mai wae house that is visible on the living room wall is affixed with some holy images (such as Sufis or Islamic priests) of the world or calendars with Islamic overtones. As for ata le mai tana golo, identity is placed in the corner of the living room.

Meanwhile, elderly is a condition characterized by a decline in the tissue's self-repairing func-tion. This decline causes various diseases and health problems, hence, efforts are needed to improve their physical condition and health after retirement. Therefore, this study aims to reduce the impact of Covid-19 on the elderly as well as to provide an overview of the physical problems associated with the virus and its prevention measures. This is an experimental study with a pre-experimental research design in the form of a one-group pre-post-test design. The results showed a probability with a p-value of <0.05, which indicates that physiotherapy management in the elderly during Covid-19 increased their physical activity, thereby eliminating the risk of exposure to the virus. The statistical analysis results showed that there was a sig-nificant difference between the pre-test and post-test on physiotherapy management. Furthermore, physical activity had a p-value of 0.015, which indicates that the level of physical activities carried out did not change, but it served as a motivation. The fear of contracting the virus had a p-value of 0.007, which shows that information on physical activity provided by physiotherapists had no effect on their fea.
