Abstract

The purpose of this study was to (1) determine the feasibility of flip book-based economics teaching materials in improving economic learning outcomes for class XI MAN 2 Deli Serdang students. (2) Knowing the effectiveness of flip book-based economics teaching materials in improving economic learning outcomes for class XI MAN 2 Deli Serdang students. This type of research is R & D research using the Borg and Gall development model. The subjects of this study consisted of two material experts, one learning media expert, one learning model expert, and 60 students of class XI MAN 2 Deli Serdang. As an object in this study, students' responses to learning media and student learning outcomes tests. The results showed (1) the expert test of learning materials was in the very good classification (94.44%), (2) the learning media expert test was in the very good classification (96.00%), (3) the expert test of the learning model was very good classification (95.18%). Based on the results of the learning tests, it is known that the average value of the control class is 67.69 and that of the experimental class is 85, and the two classes have a difference in value of 17.7. The results of the submission of the hypothesis prove that (1) Flipbook-Based Economics Teaching Materials to Improve Economic Learning Outcomes of Class XI MAN 2 Deli Serdang Academic Year 2021/2022 are appropriate for use (2) there is a significant difference between student learning outcomes using flipbook-based economics teaching materials with the learning outcomes of students who use textbooks. This is indicated by the results of data processing on the results of the post test obtained tcount = 10.691. At a significant level (? = 0.05) with dk 58 obtained ttable = 1.167 so that tcount > ttable. The average effectiveness of learning outcomes in the use of flipbook-based economics teaching materials is 85%, while the group of students who use textbooks is 68%. From this data it proves that the use of flip book-based economics teaching materials is more effective in increasing students' knowledge and competence in learning national income than without using flip book-based economics teaching materials

Abstract

Nurse workload is all activities, activities, actions taken by a nurse while the nurse is on duty in a hospital service unit. The purpose of this literature is to identify which method is more effective and efficient to measure the workload of nurses. Article review was carried out through several electronic databases including Google Scholar, Google Scholar, Pubmed with the keyword "nurse workload", inclusion criteria included articles published between 2015 and 2022, full text in both English and Indonesian. A literature search found 72 articles, then 51 articles were removed according to the exclusion criteria, so that only 8 articles were identified. The results of the literature study show that the WISN method is most often used to determine the workload of health workers, not only nurses. made by several people including Richa Noprianty et al, 2020 with the topic Analysis of Nurses Staff Needs Using Workload Indicate Staff Need in Pediatric Ward with Time Motion Study, Taufique Joarder et al, 2020 with the topic Assessment of staffing needs for physicians and nurses at Upazila health complexes in Bangladesh using WHO workload indicators of staffing need (WISN) method and Angélica Araújo de Menezes et al,  2022 with the topic Application of the workload indicators of staffing need method to calculate the size of the medical staff at a maternity hospital in the state of Bahia, Brazil. But beyond that, it doesn't mean that other methods are ineffective, because each method has its own advantages and disadvantages, it's up to the researchers or the hospital to choose which method to use.

Abstract

This research aims to found out: (1) the students’ Indonesian grade use Think Talk Write (TTW) better compared than the students’ Indonesian grade use Cooperative Learning method, (2) the students’ Indonesian grade by high self efficacy development compared with moderate self efficacy development, the students’ Indonesian grade by high self efficacy development compared with low self efficacy development, and the students’ Indonesian grade by moderate self efficacy development compared with low self efficacy development, (3) is there an interaction between Think Talk Write (TTW) method and Conventional learning method about the students’ self efficacy development on the increase of Indonesian’s grade . The type of this research is quasi experimental with design factorial of 2 x 3. The population in this research were all students in the third grade of SD Negeri Mekarasih of Cihampelas Subdistrict of Bandung Barat Regency selected by chosen without random assignment into III B as the experiment class and III A as control class. The data of questionnaires result and tests of Indonesian are analyzed by using the test of analyze two way anova with Microsoft Excel 2016. Base on the founded data analyze, the research points are identified as follows: First, the test result of datas mean there are differences between Think Talk Write (TTW) method and Cooperative Learning method about the Indonesian’s grade, then the decision is learning Indonesian using Think Talk Write (TTW) method gives better influence than learning Indonesian using Conventional learning method. Second, the test result of datas give explanation that there are differences comprehention between students’ self efficacy categories development and Indonesian’s grade. This is because the tests result show that there are the differences Indonesian learning ability between students’ high self efficacy, students’ moderate self efficacy, and students’ low self efficacy. The students’ high self efficacy development has understanding ability of Indonesian better than students’ moderate self efficacy developments. Abstract

Media learning can be disadvantaged into four types, namely: (1) Visual media, which only relies on students' senses of sight; (2) Audio media, which only involves students' hearing, (3) Audiovisual media, which involves hearing and sight simultaneously in one process or activity; and (4) Multimedia, which involves several types of media and equipment in an integrated manner in a learning process or activity. This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of cooperative learning using visual media on the beginning writing ability of first graders of elementary school in terms of VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) learning styles through a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. Data analysis was carried out using the t-test (t-independent samples) on the n-gain control class and the experimental class. The results showed that there was an effect of the application of cooperative learning with picture media on the initial writing ability for 1st-grade elementary school students in terms of VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) learning styles with the highest effect seen in students with kinesthetic learning styles.

Abstract

An embankment dam is a large artificial embankment made by placing and compacting various compositions of soil, sand, clay or rock. One of the rock fill dams located in the Buleleng Regency, Bali Province, namely the Tamblang Dam which is planned to be utilized to meet the raw water needs in the Buleleng Regency in particular and the Bali Province of 510 liters/second, irrigates irrigated rice fields in Bungkulan and in Bulian with an area of 588 Ha, as a micro hydro power generator of 2 x 269 MW, as well as other uses for flood control and tourism. At first the Tamblang Dam was a rock fill dam with an upright core made of clay material. After conducting test pits at 30 borrowed areas and soil investigations at an independent laboratory, the volume of the core zone material according to specifications cannot meet the needs of the core material. There are alternative solutions to the problem, namely bringing in core zone material from outside the project site or changing the original clay core design into an asphalt concrete core. This study applies the Value Engineering (VE) method in which an increase in function at a fixed cost or an increase in function will be obtained by reducing costs or reducing costs for a fixed function or increasing costs and increasing functions.
