Abstract

The process of regional planning and development requires the right concepts and approaches so that regional planning and development can run effectively and optimally. Kebumen Regency, with its extensive area and diverse regional characteristics, requires an appropriate approach in its regional development planning, so that the implementation of development is targeted and equitable, thereby reducing regional disparities. The study of development area indications aims to determine the grouping of sub-district areas into several clusters of development areas based on similar characteristics. The method used in this study is K-Means Cluster multivariate analysis. The variables used include infrastructure availability, population density, and spatial proximity. Based on cluster analysis, it was found that the Kebumen Regency area can be divided into seven regional clusters, according to the similarity of characteristics. This cluster will later be utilized for the optimization of development according to the characteristics of each regional cluster.

Abstract

The financial management training program based on simple mathematical principles was conducted in Padukuhan Dobalan, Kapanewon Timbulharjo, Bantul Regency. This initiative aimed to improve the financial literacy of the rural community, especially in preparing for potential economic recession. Most of the residents work as farmers and laborers, making them vulnerable to global economic changes. The program introduced the use of basic mathematical operations addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to create budgets, track expenses, and make sound financial decisions.The training employed pretests and posttests to measure participants' progress. The results showed a significant improvement in the participants' ability to manage their finances and adopt positive mindsets, as indicated by higher posttest scores compared to pretest scores. The program also encouraged participants to reduce unnecessary expenses, seek additional income sources, invest for future growth, and share their wealth through charity.Overall, the program had a positive impact on the participants’ financial management skills and household economic resilience. However, some participants may still require further guidance to achieve maximum results. This initiative is expected to continue and serve as a model for empowering communities to face economic challenges more wisely and strategically.

Abstract

Data curah hujan bisa didapatkan dari berbagai sumber, antara lain pembacaan satelit maupun data lapangan. penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan data curah hujan Sungai Anai meggunakan data satelit dan data lapangan untuk memprediksi debit banjir. Dalam proses memperoleh data pembacaan satelit, data curah hujan diunduh dari sumber online, yaitu Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) sedangkan data lapangan diperoleh langsung dari stasiun pengukur curah hujan (PCH) di lokasi studi. Data dari kedua sumber ini kemudian dibandingkan, dengan periode tahun data hujan yang sama yakni selama 10 tahun dari tahun 2013-2022. Dalam analisis statistik menunjukkan adanya selisih signifikan antara data website dan data stasiun hujan, di mana hasil curah hujan rata-rata dari website cenderung lebih rendah dibandingkan hasil pengukuran lapangan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan akurasi antara data satelit dan data lapangan, terutama pada periode hujan tinggi, dan diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik dalam memilih sumber data yang sesuai untuk studi hidrologi.

Abstract

This study analyzes 25 years of rainfall data (2000-2024) in the Batang Sianok Watershed (DAS), West Sumatra, using satellite data from Giovanni NASA. The Log Pearson Type III frequency analysis is applied to identify the rainfall distribution pattern, while the Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (HSS) is used to model the watershed's hydrological response to planned rainfall for various return periods. The results show a flood discharge of Q 1234 m³/s for a 10-year return period, with the potential to trigger major flooding in the Batang Sianok watershed. The hydrograph modeling generates peak discharge predictions that are relevant to support flood risk mitigation and water resource management planning in the area.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi debit banjir dengan periode ulang 50 tahun di Sungai Tulas Kabupaten Samosir dengan menggunakan metode analisis frekuensi dan metode Hidrograf Satuan Sintetis Nakayasu. Data curah hujan harian yang diperoleh dari satelit GIOVANNI selama 10 tahun, dari tahun 2015 sampai dengan tahun 2024 dianalisis untuk mengetahui curah hujan maksimum. Luas daerah aliran sungai dan panjangnya diukur dengan menggunakan ArcGIS 10.3. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa debit yang diprediksi untuk periode ulang 50 tahun mencapai total 240.297 m 3 /dt yang menunjukkan potensi terjadinya banjir yang cukup besar di daerah aliran sungai Tulas. Hasil prediksi debit banjir ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar yang mendasar dalam perancangan berbagai bangunan air di daerah aliran sungai, termasuk perancangan bendung.

Abstract

Timbulharjo sub-district, as part of Kapanewon Sewon, is categorized as a developed sub-district, and has experienced very rapid development progress. The impact of this development includes the reduction in agricultural land. This is because agricultural land has experienced conversion, both for housing and public facilities such as schools, offices, factories, hotels and tourist attractions. Considering that Timbulharjo Subdistrict is crossed by two large rivers, namely the Winongo River and the Code River, land conversion without being accompanied by replacement of catchment land or a good drainage system will cause a big problem, namely the potential for rain runoff which can cause inundation (flooding). This incident of inundation (flooding) has been proven to have occurred in several areas in Timbulharjo District, one of which was at Timbulharjo Elementary School on March 22 2021. Therefore, efforts need to be made to reduce the potential for flooding, one of which is with a simple drainage system that can be implemented by rural communities. . This activity aims to provide insight and knowledge to the public regarding one way to overcome the danger of flooding with absorption wells. The form of activity chosen was in the form of counseling and outreach to community members, one of which was the PKK women's group. The results achieved from this outreach activity are the formation of a community that understands flood management efforts using infiltration wells.

Abstract

The demand for temporary housing for students in Yogyakarta, particularly in Depok District, has increased along with the growing number of incoming students. This study aims to identify students' preferences in choosing rental housing, which is part of the studentification phenomenon in Depok District. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, with questionnaires as the data collection instrument. The primary factors identified as determinants are price, proximity to campus, adequate facilities, and aspects of safety and environmental comfort. Analysis of student housing choices indicates that proximity to campus, affordable rent, and adequate facilities are the main factors in their decisions. Strategic location, close to infrastructure and easy access, as well as facilities like kitchens and parking spaces, are highly valued. Security features, such as CCTV and guards, and environmental comfort are also additional considerations, while boarding houses far from activity centers, expensive, or overly exclusive are less popular. In conclusion, students tend to seek housing that offers the best combination of location, price, facilities, security, and comfort to efficiently support their daily lives.

Abstract

Trains are one of the alternatives in the development of transportation that requires efficiency of transportation capacity, time, and durability as well as comfort, both facilities and infrastructure. Research objectives: a) To determine user perceptions of Purwosari Station infrastructure facilities. b) To determine user satisfaction with Purwosari Station infrastructure facilities. c) To determine facilities that require improvement regarding Purwosari Station infrastructure facilities. The research method used in the study is IPA (important performance analysis). Data collection techniques are carried out manually in the field by distributing questionnaires to Purwosari Station users. Based on the results of the analysis of the level of suitability and quadrant analysis, it is concluded that the reliability and regularity variables are achievements that need to be maintained by the station because they have the highest percentage, namely 89.03% and for the convenience variable it has a percentage of 88.22%. For the safety variable, it has the highest level of satisfaction, namely with a score of 416. There are no facilities that require repair, because based on the results of the quadrant analysis, there are no items in quadrant I. Abstract

The rice milling industry produces 35% rice husk, which contains silica (SiO2) as one of its main components. Rice husk comprises water (9.02%), ash (17.71%), and carbohydrates (33.71%). Silica gel is derived from the coagulation of sodium silicate (NaSiO₂) sol and is highly porous, making it effective in moisture adsorption. Utilizing rice husk for silica gel production presents an efficient solution. Rice husk gasification transforms biomass waste into syngas, with ash as a byproduct. This study involved processing rice husk ash from gasification into sodium silicate, followed by a sol-gel process using both strong and weak acids to produce silica gel. Gasification was performed at 750 °C for 5 hours. The ash was ground and sieved (150 mesh). Extraction was conducted at 80°C for 1 hour using 1N NaOH, after which acid was added until the pH reached 7. The acids used were 1N HCl and acetic acid . The mixture was heated to 80°C until the silica gel reached a constant weight. The resulting silica gel was analyzed using FT-IR and tested for air moisture adsorption. The synthesis of silica gel using HCl yielded less product compared to using CH3COOH. FT-IR analysis of the rice husk ash silica gel indicated the presence of Si-OH and Si-O-Si functional groups. In the water adsorption test, silica gel synthesized with strong acid (HCl) exhibited higher water adsorption capability compared to silica gel synthesized with weak acid (CH3COOH).

Abstract

The Semilir Formation located in Ngoro-Oro, Gunungkidul, has significant lithofacies diversity, reflecting dynamic depositional conditions in the past and indicating a recurring depositional pattern. The limitations of stratigraphic and geostatistical information are the main reasons for this research. This study aims to identify the characteristics of lithofacies in the Semilir Formation, Ngoro-Oro, Gunungkidul, and analyze the relationship between facies through the chi-square statistical test. In addition, the pattern of lithofacies repetition and transition is evaluated using the Markov chain method to determine the probability of lithofacies repetition and predict the stratigraphic sequence at the research location. The research was conducted on ancient rock outcrops along the Prambanan-Wonosari alternative route located in Ngoro-Oro Village, Patuk District, Gunungkidul Regency, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Province by conducting stratigraphic measurements with a thickness of 78 meters using Jacob stuff then continued with geostatistical analysis using the Markov chain method. This method will provide an understanding of the prediction of lithofacies transition patterns in the research area. The research results reveal that the lithofacies at the study location consist of lithology composed of sandstone interbedded with claystone and tuff, sandstone interbedded with claystone with siltstone inserts, and sandstone interbedded with siltstone with claystone inserts. The results of the Markov chain statistical calculation of lithology or lithofacies have a non-random transition pattern
