Abstract

Background: The rapid expansion of digital infrastructure necessitates ethical marketing frameworks, yet the integration of Islamic economic principles into digital service marketing remains underexplored. Purpose: This study analyzes the marketing strategy of WiFi installation services at PT RST.Net through the lens of Islamic economics, specifically examining the alignment of the marketing mix with Sharia principles. Methods: Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected via in-depth interviews with purposively selected informants (1 owner, 2 technicians, 5 customers), direct observation, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation, and analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model. Results: PT RST.Net’s marketing mix (4P) demonstrates strong empirical alignment with Islamic principles: Shiddiq (honesty) in transparent promotion, Adl (justice) in equitable pricing, and Maslahah (public benefit) in strategic rural service distribution. Novelty: This study proposes a novel "Sharia-Compliant Digital Service Marketing Model," integrating the traditional 4P framework with core Islamic ethical values, bridging a critical research gap in Islamic marketing literature for the ICT sector.

Abstract

Living Qur’an (LQ) studies have shown an increasingly massive development within Qur’anic studies in Indonesian Islamic higher education, particularly since the strengthening of social, cultural, and empirical approaches to understanding Muslim religious practices. This article aims to revisit the Living Qur’an by highlighting the tension between phenomenological tendencies and the need for a more reflective theoretical foundation. This study employs a qualitative method based on library research, utilizing a phenomenology of religion approach alongside a historical-chronological analysis of the development of the Living Qur’an discourse in Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that the Living Qur’an emerged as a response to the dominance of normative-textual Qur’anic studies, as well as an effort to read the Qur’an within the context of social reception and praxis in Muslim societies. The appeal of this study lies in its ability to uncover the process of internalizing Qur’anic values into local cultures and long-standing living religious traditions. However, the rapid production of Living Qur’an research also reveals a weak methodological footing, causing many studies to stop at descriptive phenomenology without adequate critical analysis. This article asserts the necessity of a conceptual reconstruction of the Living Qur’an as a phenomenological-receptive study accompanied by theoretical awareness, enabling it to contribute substantively to the development of contextual, reflective, and sustainable Qur’anic studies.

Abstract

Journalistic independence is a prerequisite for maintaining news credibility and the role of the press as a provider of information to the public. However, editorial work is increasingly influenced by media ownership concentration, political pressure, commercial interests, audience metrics, and algorithm-based information distribution. This article aims to analyze journalistic independence from the perspective of Islamic communication ethics. The study employs a qualitative method using a literature review approach by examining sixteen publications issued between 2020 and 2025, consisting of journal articles, professional guidelines, and press freedom reports. The findings indicate that independence in Islamic communication ethics is not merely understood as institutional freedom from external intervention. It also requires journalists to uphold truth, verification, justice, responsibility, and human dignity. The principles of tabayyun, sidq, amanah, and adl strengthen modern journalistic standards, including accuracy, balance, accountability, and editorial autonomy. This article proposes an operational model that connects personal integrity, editorial protection, source transparency, and public accountability. Such integration is relevant to strengthening Indonesian journalism amid digital disinformation, political polarization, and the economic vulnerability of the media industry.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how school leaders' digital literacy influences Muslim youth in transforming passive smartphone consumption into active religious expression through digital written propagation (dakwah bil-qalam). Employing a qualitative hermeneutic phenomenological framework, this research explores the lived experiences of three school leaders and eight Muslim teenagers across three Islamic senior high schools in West Java. Data collection was executed using semi-structured interviews, digital textual observations of social media feeds, and institutional documentation analysis, processed through the modified Colaizzi method. The findings demonstrate that a school leader’s comprehensive digital leadership creates an institutional scaffolding of psychological safety, which directly minimizes adolescent peer anxiety and digital surveillance barriers. The research novelty lies in its structural integration of Islamic educational management, communication, and pedagogy, demonstrating that visionary governance can successfully redirect passive screen-time behaviors into sustainable, text-based spiritual contributions within the contemporary digital ecosystem.
