Abstract

The integration of digital technology in Islamic educational institutions is increasingly essential in equipping students to address contemporary challenges. This study examines Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah (Dalwa), which effectively utilizes digital platforms such as Dalwa TV to enhance education and training of da’i among its 7,450 students among 4 universities. Established in 1981, the pesantren merges traditional religious education by integrating innovative digital approaches to create a holistic learning environment. The method used in this research include interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that Dalwa integrates religious teachings with practical skills in communication and media production, enabling students to actively participate in digital dakwah. Furthermore, the pesantren incorporates syariah-based economic empowerment initiatives, offering students entrepreneurial experience. Despite challenges such as technological skill gaps, Dalwa addresses them through targeted training and infrastructure development. This study highlights the pesantren’s ability to adapt with digital era, producing competent da’i capable of navigating the complexities of modern society. Dalwa’s success exemplifies how Islamic institutions can innovate to remain relevant in a rapidly evolving technological landscape, providing a benchmark for other pesantren.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of habituation of Dhuha prayer on student discipline at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 3 Mandailing Natal. The type of research conducted is ex-post facto using a quantitative approach. In this study, the population was a total of 766 students. Sampling using Random Sampling technique using the Slovin formula, there were 88 students as samples. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale, while observation and documentation are as supporting techniques. Based on the results of data processing by testing the research hypothesis using simple linear regression test, obtained sig value. < 0.05 (0.005 < 0.05). Because sig. <0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant influence between habituation of dhuha prayer on student discipline at MAN 3 Mandailing Natal. The R value is 0.300 and the RSquare value is 0.090, meaning that the influence of the independent variable (Dhuha prayer habituation) on the dependent variable (student discipline) is 9%. This research is expected to be able to contribute understanding to the readers that Dhuha prayer is very influential on student discipline. Future research researchers suggest exploring the implementation of Dhuha prayer in the boarding school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the ethics of teachers in educating students based on the thoughts of Imam Muhammad bin Husain Al-Jurri. Through a qualitative approach, the researcher uses data obtained from library sources, such as books, articles, or journals and this study analyzes the works of Al-Jurri, especially the book Adab Thalabi al-'Ilmi, to explore ethical values that are relevant to teaching. This study highlights the importance of sincere intentions, justice, and gentleness in educating as the main principles that must be applied by educators. In addition, Al-Jurri emphasizes the need to face the Qibla, be fair to students without distinguishing social status, and avoid rude attitudes when teaching. The findings of this study are relevant in facing the challenges of modern education, such as the moral crisis of the younger generation, by emphasizing the role of teachers as moral role models. The integration of ethical values in teaching is expected to support the development of students' character and spirituality, creating education that is not only oriented towards academics but also on the formation of a complete personality. It is hoped that this research will provide new contributions to research on Islamic educational ethics.

Abstract

Developing children's religious character begins with introducing them to Hajj values at a young age. This article focuses at an interactive outing class session that TK Wulil Amri planned at the Replika Ka'bah Sudiang to teach the fundamentals of Hajj customs. Children engage in simplified Hajj traditions including Tawaf, Sa'i, and Arafah during this activity. The findings demonstrate that the approach effectively raises kids' interest in studying religious principles. It also strengthens their understanding of unity, discipline, and obedience in a way that suits their developmental stage. This study provides concrete evidence of how experiential learning can make Islamic education more engaging and meaningful. By focusing on enjoyable and practical methods, this article contributes to innovations in Islamic education, especially in creating effective strategies for early childhood learning. For future research, this approach can be expanded to other educational levels, such as primary or secondary schools, to investigate its efficacy at various developmental stages. Comparative research could also be done to investigate the influence of manasik haji simulations in various cultural or socioeconomic circumstances.

Abstract

Islam-based Early Childhood Education (PAUD) plays a crucial role in shaping children's character and identity by integrating Islamic values with local culture. This study aims to analyze how Islamic values and local culture are incorporated into the PAUD curriculum, identify implementation strategies, and examine the challenges and opportunities involved. Additionally, it explores the impact of this integration on children's character and identity development while providing recommendations for educators and policymakers to enhance the effectiveness of Islam-based early childhood education. This research employs a literature study method, analyzing various sources related to the PAUD curriculum, Islamic values, and local culture. The data analysis approach includes data reduction, classification, and interpretation. The findings indicate that integrating Islamic values such as tawhid, noble character, and worship with local cultural values such as community cooperation (gotong royong), love for the homeland, and mutual respect can create a holistic and contextual curriculum. This curriculum not only supports children's intellectual development but also fosters strong character and a deep sense of identity. However, challenges arise in aligning local cultural values with Islamic teachings and addressing resource limitations, particularly among educators who may not fully grasp the concept of this integration. Despite these challenges, the integration of Islamic values and local culture positively impacts children's character development and strengthens community participation in the educational process. To address these challenges, this study recommends developing a more flexible curriculum and enhancing educator capacity. These efforts will contribute to producing a generation that is intelligent, of noble character, and deeply rooted in its cultural identity.
