Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of curriculum policy from the 2013 Curriculum (K-13) to the Quality Function Deployment (QFD)-based Independent Curriculum at MA Raudlatul Firdaus, focusing on how student needs are translated into a more responsive and quality-based curriculum design. This study uses a qualitative approach within an educational management framework, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies of teachers and students as key informants. Data analysis is carried out systematically through reduction, presentation, and conclusions, and is strengthened by a QFD approach through the House of Quality instrument to connect the voice of customers with technical learning needs. The results show that the implementation of QFD can produce a more flexible, contextual, and student-centered curriculum, as well as increasing student engagement, learning effectiveness, and the quality of data-driven curriculum planning. In addition, key student needs such as project-based learning, instructional differentiation, and assessment formats are translated into operational technical strategies. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of QFD in the analysis of curriculum policy transformation in Islamic educational institutions, which has so far been more widely applied in the industrial sector. This approach offers a new perspective by positioning students as “customers” of education, so that the development curriculum becomes more systematic, adaptive, and oriented to real needs, while strengthening the data-based and sustainable education quality assurance system.

Abstract

This study analyzes the institutionalization of collaborative governance in strengthening administrative service quality in a madrasah. Administrative services support school governance, information transparency, academic document management, and public trust. This study used a qualitative case study method at MTs Al Hasan Karawang. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving 11 informants, including the principal, teachers, administrative staff, school committee members, parents, and students. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that administrative service improvement has involved various stakeholders through communication, coordination, document management, information sharing, and complaint handling. However, the collaboration remains largely informal and has not been fully supported by integrated digital systems, clear service standards, and regular data-based evaluation. This study concludes that administrative service quality can be strengthened through facilitative leadership, clear stakeholder role division, gradual administrative digitalization, administrative staff capacity building, and data-based service evaluation.

Abstract

Ecotheological awareness in Islamic education is formed not only through the formal curriculum but also through the hidden curriculum present in the culture and practices of campus life. This study used a qualitative approach with a transcendental phenomenological design. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies, then analyzed using Clark Moustakas' transcendental phenomenological model. The findings indicate that ecotheological awareness of Islamic Education (PAI) students at INSIMA Majenang is formed through campus religious culture, lecturers' role models, hygiene habits, and daily social experiences. Contradictory experiences that do not reflect ecological values actually encourage critical reflection, leading to a more reflective and transformative understanding of ecotheological awareness. This awareness is actualized in ecological behaviors such as maintaining environmental cleanliness, reducing the use of single-use plastics, maintaining campus facilities, and increasing environmental awareness. The hidden curriculum plays a significant role in the formation of students' ecotheological awareness. This study resulted in the concept of the Reflective Ecotheological Internalization Model and Spatial Exam Pedagogy, which explains that both positive and contradictory experiences can be a means of forming ecological awareness based on Islamic values.
