Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of assessor commissions and profit margins on the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) at the consulting service company PT Adhi Prima Potensia during the period of January–December 2024. Consulting firms are unique in that they do not produce physical goods but instead offer expertise-based services, making accurate cost management—particularly in determining COGS—crucial for establishing fair assessor commissions and achieving sustainable profit margins. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method, collecting data through documentation and interviews regarding the 41 types of consulting services provided by the company. The analysis technique employed is multiple linear regression using SPSS version 25. The results of the study show that both assessor commissions and profit margins significantly impact COGS, both individually (partially) and together (simultaneously). These findings underscore the importance of precise COGS calculations in maintaining cost efficiency, distributing fair compensation, and ensuring the long-term profitability of the company. By highlighting the interconnectedness of commissions, profit margins, and COGS, the study provides valuable insights into how consulting firms can better manage their pricing strategies and cost structures. This research is expected to serve as a useful reference for managerial decision-making, particularly in cost management and strategic pricing, ultimately contributing to the overall growth and sustainability of consulting service firms.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of lecturer competence (X1), motivation (X2), and campus environment (X3) on students’ academic achievement (Y). The research focused on regular undergraduate students of the 2022 cohort at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Budi Luhur University, South Jakarta. A quantitative research design was applied, with data collected through questionnaires. The sampling technique employed was probability sampling with a simple random sampling approach, ensuring that each student had an equal chance of being selected as a respondent. A total of 86 valid responses were obtained. Data analysis consisted of descriptive analysis of the primary data and inferential analysis using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS version 22. The regression equation obtained was Y = 3.829 + 0.584X1 + 0.561X2 + 0.134X3 + €. The findings indicate that lecturer competence has a positive and significant effect on students’ academic achievement, implying that higher lecturer competence contributes to better student learning outcomes. Motivation also shows a positive and significant influence, highlighting that strong learning motivation plays a crucial role in improving academic performance. Meanwhile, the campus environment has a positive but not significant effect, suggesting that although the learning environment contributes to student achievement, its impact is not substantial when compared to other variables. Overall, the results underscore the importance of enhancing lecturer competence and fostering student motivation as key strategies for improving academic achievement, while also considering the campus environment as a supporting factor for student success.

Abstract

This study aims to design an e-commerce website prototype for Ourex as a strategy to enhance international sales using the Design thinking approach. Previously relying only on social media and marketplaces, Ourex requires an independent digital platform to improve professionalism and strengthen its global competitiveness. The research was carried out through the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test, with data collected from interviews, questionnaires, observations, and competitor analysis. The prototype was then evaluated using Heuristic Evaluation to identify usability issues and the System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure user satisfaction and comfort. The results of the Heuristic Evaluation revealed several minor issues, such as visual consistency and icon clarity, but the core functions were found to work effectively. Meanwhile, the SUS score was above the average benchmark, indicating that users experienced the prototype as easy to use, clear, and efficient. The comparison of both methods shows that the heuristic findings provide insights for detailed design improvements, while the SUS results confirm that the prototype already meets user needs overall. Thus, the Ourex website prototype has the potential to serve as a professional and competitive digital solution in supporting international sales strategies.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of Paylater Services, Free Shipping Promos, and Flash Sale on Purchase Decisions on Lazada marketplace consumers in Bandung Regency. Fierce competition between platforms such as Shopee, Tokopedia, Lazada, and Bukalapak encourages the development of various marketing strategies. This phenomenon is an interesting research object to examine how marketing strategies such as Paylater services, free shipping promos, and flash sales affect consumers' purchasing decisions on Lazada. This research is included in the type of quantitative research with the survey method. The population in this study is all Lazada consumers in Jelegong Village, Bandung Regency, who have made purchases and used or know about Paylater services, free shipping promos, and flash sales provided by Lazada. Data was collected using questionnaires that contained structured questions related to consumer perceptions and experiences. The research sample used a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling approach, involving a total of 100 respondents who were considered representative. Data were analyzed with SPSS 22. The results of this study are that paylater services, free shipping promos, and flash sales affect purchase decisions. The results of this study show that Paylater Services, Free Shipping Promos, and Flash Sale partially have a positive and significant influence on Purchase Decisions. The Paylater Service variable (X1) has a strong correlation, Free Shipping Promo (X2) also shows a strong correlation, and Flash Sale (X3) has a very strong correlation with Purchase Decision (Y). Overall, these three independent variables significantly influenced consumers' purchasing decisions on Lazada, with a contribution of 76.3% to the purchase decision, while the remaining 23.7% were influenced by other variables outside of this study. This conclusion indicates that the marketing strategy is very effective in driving consumer purchase decisions on Lazada.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), Brand Image, and Discount Vouchers on Impulse Buying in Generation Z consumers who use the Shopee e-commerce platform in Cigombong District, Bogor Regency. The data source used in this study is primary data by distributing questionnaires, the population in this study is Generation Z consumers (born between 1997 and 2012) who actively use the Shopee e-commerce platform and are domiciled in Cigombong District, Bogor Regency. The selection of Gen-Z is based on their characteristics of being highly responsive to digital influence, promotions, and social trends. The phenomenon of Impulse Buying is increasingly relevant in the digital era, especially among Gen-Z who are heavily influenced by social media and online promotions. The study focuses on Shopee as one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Indonesia, given West Java's dominance in the e-commerce market share and Gen-Z's tendency towards impulse purchases. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling, the method used, namely purposive sampling with the lemeshow formula and obtained the minimum number of samples needed was 96 respondents, which was successfully fulfilled in this study. The analysis tool used is SPSS 27 software. The results of the study show that Fear of Missing Out, Brand Image, and Discount Voucher significantly have a positive effect on the Impulse Buying of Gen-Z consumers on the Shopee e-commerce platform in Cigombong District, Bogor Regency. Specifically, FoMO encourages impulse purchases due to the fear of missing out on trends, strong Brand Image increases spontaneous buying interest, and Discount Vouchers trigger immediate purchase decisions. The combined contribution of these three variables to Impulse Buying suggests that these factors are the main drivers of impulse buying behavior among Gen-Z Shopee users.

Abstract

Love and Deepspace is an interactive mobile game in the visual novel genre that has quickly gained significant attention, particularly among teenagers and young adults. A considerable number of users are also involved in purchasing virtual items offered within the game. The primary objective of this study is to determine whether external factors such as brand attachment, visual design, and social media advertising influence users’ interest in purchasing in-game products. Utilizing IBM SPSS version 22, this study employs quantitative analysis methods, with data collected from 96 participants who completed a questionnaire distributed through various social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Twitter, and Facebook. The sampling technique used is Non-probability Sampling with a Purposive Sampling method. A series of tests, including validity and reliability testing, as well as statistical analysis and coefficient of determination, were conducted to analyze the data. The findings indicate that the decision to purchase virtual items (top-up) is positively and significantly influenced by the variables of brand attachment, visual design, and social media advertising. The results of the study show that the decision to purchase virtual goods (top-up) is positively and significantly influenced by the variables of brand attachment, visual design, and social media advertising. Partially, brand attachment (the player's emotional attachment to the game's characters and elements), visual design (iconic characters, eye-catching colors, and funny visual elements), and social media advertising (interactive, informative, relevant, and entertaining) all have a significant influence on purchasing decisions. Simultaneously, these three independent variables together have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions in the Love and Deepspace game. This suggests that these factors are important elements that collectively influence consumer behavior in making top-up purchases.

Abstract

The food and beverage industry in Indonesia makes a significant contribution to the national economy, with a growth rate of 4.90% in 2023. This growth is accompanied by variations in profitability among companies. PT Mulia Boga Raya Tbk (KEJU) and PT Ultrajaya Milk Industry & Trading Company Tbk (ULTJ) are two listed companies that have shown different financial performances in recent years. This study aims to analyze and compare the profitability ratios of Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA), and Return on Equity (ROE) of the two companies during the 2020–2024 period. The research employs a quantitative comparative method with a descriptive case study approach, based on financial reports published by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), supported by literature study. The findings indicate that ULTJ consistently outperforms in GPM and NPM, reflecting more efficient cost and operational management. KEJU initially showed better performance in ROA and ROE but experienced a decline before improving again in 2024. These results emphasize the importance of cost, asset, and equity management in maintaining long-term profitability. In conclusion, ULTJ demonstrates greater stability in profitability, while KEJU needs to enhance efficiency to remain competitive. These findings are expected to serve as practical references for management and investors in making strategic decisions within the food and beverage industry.

Abstract

The productivity of micro-enterprises, particularly in the culinary sector, plays a critical role in supporting local economic growth. However, productivity is often influenced by the welfare and occupational health conditions of business actors, which remain significant issues. This study aims to analyze the effect of health on the productivity of culinary micro-enterprises in Bandung City. A quantitative approach using a simple linear regression method was employed to evaluate the relationship between health and productivity. The sample consisted of 80 entrepreneurs, selected using purposive sampling with criteria that the businesses had been operating for at least two years and employed permanent workers. Data were collected through a Likert-scale-based questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 25, applying Model Summary, ANOVA, and regression coefficient tests. The results indicate that health has a positive effect on productivity, yet the relationship is weak and statistically insignificant. These findings suggest that while occupational health is a factor in productivity, it cannot fully explain the variations in productivity levels observed across the sample. Consequently, other variables, such as innovation, managerial strategies, and technological support, must be considered to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of what drives productivity in culinary micro-enterprises. The implications of these findings highlight the necessity for more comprehensive policies and programs to improve the productivity of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). By integrating health considerations with other supportive factors such as innovation and technology, MSMEs can be better positioned for sustainable growth and competitiveness in the market

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of production costs, operational costs, financial costs, and tax costs on the net profit of manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector, specifically the cosmetics and household needs sub-sectors, listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020-2024 period. The sample in this study consists of 17 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during this period. Data was obtained from the companies' financial reports and then processed using Microsoft Excel 2018 and SPSS version 25 software. The research method used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study show that the production cost variable, operational cost variable, financial cost variable, and tax cost variable all have a significant effect on the company's net profit. The production cost variable has a significant impact on the company's net profit, as do the operational costs, financial costs, and tax costs, which all influence the net profit significantly. These findings emphasize that effective management of various costs incurred by the company can increase the net profit, which in turn influences the company's financial performance. Therefore, companies need to focus on managing these costs to achieve optimal profit. This study provides important insights for company management in making decisions regarding cost management to improve financial performance and competitiveness in the market.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of reward and work motivation on employee performance at the Pondok Aren Subdistrict Office, South Tangerang City. Using a quantitative method with 65 respondents, data analysis was conducted through a series of statistical tests, including validity and reliability tests, classical assumptions, multiple linear regression, correlation, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing. The results of the multiple regression analysis show the equation Y = 7.029 + 0.342X1 + 0.530X2, with a simultaneous correlation value of 0.874, indicating a very strong relationship. The coefficient of determination is 76.4%, meaning that 23.6% of employee performance is influenced by other factors not included in this study. Based on partial t-tests, reward was found to significantly affect employee performance with a t-value of 10.777 > t-table 1.998 and a significance level of 0.001 < 0.05. Work motivation also significantly affects employee performance with a t-value of 12.658 > t-table 1.998 and a significance level of 0.001 < 0.05. The results of the simultaneous f-test support this finding with an f-value of 100.539 > f-table 3.15 and a significance level of 0.001 < 0.05. In conclusion, reward and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Pondok Aren Subdistrict Office.
