Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of price and product quality variables on the demand for Kerupuk Opak at UD. Karya Bersama. This research is a quantitative study utilizing primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 30 customers, using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection methods include questionnaires and literature studies. Instrument testing consists of validity and reliability tests, while classical assumption tests include normality, heteroscedasticity, and multicollinearity tests. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 26. The results show that the price variable does not have a significant effect on product demand (tvalue = -0.253 < ttable = 1.70329; significance > 0.05), whereas the product quality variable has a significant effect on product demand (tvalue = 5.391 > ttable = 1.70329; significance < 0.05). Simultaneously, price and product quality significantly influence product demand (Fvalue = 65.853 > Ftable = 3.35; significance = 0.000 < 0.05).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants of the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in East Java Province during the 2017-2024 period using a panel data regression approach. The independent variables analyzed include population, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), expected years of schooling, district/city minimum wage, and poverty rate. The data was obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and analyzed using three model approaches, namely the Common Effect Model (CEM), the Fixed Effect Model (FEM), and the Random Effect Model (REM), with the FEM selected as the best model based on the Chow and Hausman tests. The results showed that economic growth and the poverty rate have a significant effect on TPT, each with a negative and positive direction. Meanwhile, the minimum wage has a significant positive effect on unemployment, while the population and the human development index do not show a significant effect. These findings indicate the need to formulate employment policies that are more focused on improving the quality of economic growth and poverty alleviation to reduce the unemployment rate at the regional level.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of raw material costs and labor costs on production costs at Tempe Ramli Factory in Medan. Raw material and labor costs are two essential components in the production process that significantly influence overall cost efficiency and effectiveness. This research employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. The population in this study includes all employees of the Tempe Ramli Factory, with a total sample of 30 respondents selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed using SPSS software. The results indicate that both raw material costs and labor costs have a positive and significant effect on production costs, both partially and simultaneously. Among the two, raw material costs are the most dominant factor affecting production costs. These findings highlight the importance of efficient management of raw material and labor costs to optimize production expenditures.

Abstract

Cooperatives serve as a people-based economic institution that plays a strategic role in efforts to improve social welfare, especially for their members. This study aims to analyze the direct, indirect, and total influence of motivation and commitment on business success at KPRI Usaha Sekerja BBLITVET Bogor, with member participation as an intervening variable. The population in this study includes all members of KPRI Usaha Sekerja BBLITVET Bogor, totaling 130 people. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling, in which all members of the population were used as research samples. The type of data used is ordinal data, which was then converted into metric data on an interval scale using the Method of Successive Interval (MSI) method. The data analysis techniques in this study include descriptive analysis, verification analysis, path analysis, and the Sobel test to examine the role of the intervening variable. The research instrument in the form of a questionnaire has been tested for validity, reliability, and met the classical assumption tests. The results of the study show that motivation and commitment have a direct and positive influence on business success. In addition, motivation, commitment, and member participation also directly have a positive influence on business success. Furthermore, motivation and commitment also indirectly influence business success through the active participation of cooperative members.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) on the inflation rate in Medan City during 2024. Inflation is a key macroeconomic indicator for assessing regional economic stability, and CPI serves as the primary tool to monitor changes in the prices of goods and services consumed by households. This research employs a quantitative approach using monthly time series secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency and Bank Indonesia. The analysis techniques include classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation) and simple linear regression. The results show that partially, CPI has no significant effect on inflation, with a significance value of 0.136. Simultaneously, the variables also show no significant influence, although the R² value of 18.8% indicates that CPI can explain a small portion of the variation in inflation. These findings suggest that other factors beyond CPI may play a more dominant role in influencing inflation in Medan City. The implications of this study are expected to provide input for local government in formulating more comprehensive inflation control policies based on more relevant macroeconomic variables.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership style and work environment on employee performance at UD. Dua Bersaudara. The background of this study is based on the importance of leadership that is able to provide inspiration, motivation, and support in increasing employee productivity. On the other hand, a conducive work environment is also a key factor that can create comfort, increase morale, and foster employee loyalty to the company. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with an associative approach, where data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 50 respondents who are all employees of the company. The collected data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of the SPSS program version 25. The results of the analysis show that transformational leadership style has a significant influence on employee performance. In addition, the work environment also plays an important role in improving employee outcomes. Simultaneously, both variables are proven to have a significant influence on employee performance. These findings indicate that the application of an appropriate transformational leadership style, such as providing a clear vision, being a role model, and encouraging innovation, can improve work quality and employee productivity. Likewise, creating a supportive work environment, such as good communication, adequate work facilities, and a harmonious work atmosphere, will encourage employees to work more effectively. Therefore, it can be concluded that creating a supportive work environment combined with effective leadership can significantly enhance employee performance. This research also provides practical implications for home industries, encouraging them to pay more attention to leadership aspects and work environment conditions in an effort to increase competitiveness.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has had a significant impact on the world of work. One emerging phenomenon is cyberloafing, which is the use of the internet by employees for personal purposes during work hours. This phenomenon can reduce productivity if not managed properly. This study was conducted at UD Saimun Jaya with the aim of analyzing the influence of workload and job stress on cyberloafing behavior, as well as assessing the role of the work environment as an intervening variable. The research method used a quantitative approach with a survey technique, in which questionnaires were distributed to 35 employees as respondents. Data analysis was carried out through multiple linear regression, F-test, t-test, and path analysis with the help of SPSS software. The results showed that workload and job stress have a positive and significant influence on cyberloafing. However, the work environment does not mediate the relationship between workload and cyberloafing. Conversely, in the relationship between work stress and cyberloafing, the work environment acts as a partial mediator. These findings emphasize the importance of management attention to proportional workload distribution, appropriate work stress management, and the creation of a conducive work environment to suppress cyberloafing behavior. This finding suggests that organizational strategies should not only focus on workload distribution but also emphasize stress management and a supportive work environment. The practical implications of this research provide insights for small companies, particularly in formulating effective human resource management strategies. By reducing excessive workloads, minimizing stress levels, and building a healthy work environment, companies can control cyberloafing behavior and maintain optimal work productivity.

Abstract

Improving the quality of human resources is crucial in realizing effective, professional, and responsible public services, especially in government agencies. The work productivity of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) employees is influenced by various factors, including competence and work discipline. This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and work discipline on the work productivity of ASN employees at the Bekasi City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM). This study has a population of 60 ASN employees. Using the Slovin formula and a margin of error of 5% (0.05), the number of samples used was 53 respondents. The research method used is a quantitative approach with statistical analysis techniques to test the relationship between variables. The results showed that partially, competence and work discipline each had a positive and significant effect on work productivity, with the calculated t values of 4.203 and 4.449 respectively greater than the t table of 2.009, and significant at the level of < 0.001 (less than 0.05). Simultaneously, the results of the F test showed that the F value of 73.627 was greater than the F of table 3.18. Thus, competence and work discipline together have a positive and significant effect on the work productivity of ASN employees at the Bekasi City BKPSDM

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of motivation, workload, and compensation on employee performance at PT Cahaya Karya Bersama in Mojokerto. The research employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative design to test the relationship between variables systematically. The population consisted of 40 employees, all of whom were involved as respondents through a total sampling technique to ensure comprehensive data coverage. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires measured on a Likert scale, while data analysis applied multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 25. The findings reveal that motivation has a positive and significant impact on employee performance, indicating that employees who are motivated tend to show higher levels of achievement. Workload also demonstrates a positive and significant effect, suggesting that when managed appropriately, workload can encourage employees to maximize their potential. However, the study also emphasizes the need for proportional workload management, as excessive demands may lead to stress and reduced performance in the long term. Among the three variables tested, compensation emerged as the most dominant factor influencing performance. Both financial rewards, such as salaries and allowances, and non-financial rewards, such as recognition and career development opportunities, were shown to significantly enhance employee effectiveness and productivity. Simultaneously, motivation, workload, and compensation collectively have a significant effect on employee performance, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.564. This means that 56.4% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by the research model, while the remaining 43.6% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. These findings highlight the strategic importance of maintaining employee motivation, managing workloads proportionally, and designing a fair compensation system. Implementing these elements effectively is expected to not only improve employee performance but also strengthen organizational competitiveness in a dynamic business environment.

Abstract

BMT NU (Baitul Maal wa at-Tamwil Nuansa Ummah) is a microfinance institution based on Islamic sharia principles and cooperatives. This institution aims to improve the economic welfare of the community through various financial products and services that are in accordance with Islamic values. One of its flagship products is SAJADAH (Wadīʻah Term Deposit with Prizes), which uses the Wadīʻah Yaḍ Ḍamānah contract. In this contract, funds deposited by customers are safeguarded by the BMT, and although there is no obligation from the institution to provide returns, customers still receive direct prizes as a form of appreciation. The prizes awarded vary, ranging from electronics and household appliances to precious metals such as gold. Uniquely, they are not drawn through a lottery system, so every eligible customer can receive them immediately. Based on internal data from BMT NU, the number of members participating in the SAJADAH program has decreased from 2019 to early 2023. This is an important background in the research that focuses on three main aspects: the level of member interest in SAJADAH products, inhibiting factors, and supporting factors for this interest. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques including field observations, direct interviews with members and managers, and analysis of official documentation from the institution. The results show that public interest in SAJADAH products is in the moderate category, with the majority of interested parties coming from the middle to upper class who have more stable financial capabilities. Several main inhibiting factors are the large nominal savings required to receive prizes, as well as the relatively long withdrawal period, which is considered less flexible by some members.
