Abstract

This study aims to identify the participatory communication strategies implemented by the community of Tanjung Menang Village, South Bengkulu Regency, in managing Village Funds. Participatory communication plays a strategic role in promoting active community involvement, as reflected in their participation during the planning, implementation, and monitoring stages of village development programs. The study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection methods including field observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research subjects consist of the village head, village officials, members of the Village Consultative Body (BPD), and community members actively involved in the management of Village Funds. The findings reveal that the communication strategies employed include conducting village deliberation meetings, disseminating information through local media, and applying interpersonal communication approaches. These approaches are guided by the five principles of interpersonal communication proposed by Joseph A. Devito, namely openness, empathy, supportiveness, a positive attitude, and equality. Collectively, these principles contribute to the establishment of effective communication in the participatory implementation of village development. This strategy has proven to foster effective two-way communication and enhance community participation. Nevertheless, certain challenges persist, such as the dominance of village officials in decision-making processes and the presence of a "culture of silence" among community members. Therefore, improving access to information and strengthening community communication capacity are necessary steps toward achieving more inclusive and sustainable governance of Village Funds

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of product quality, price, brand image, and brand trust on purchasing decisions for Marina hand & body lotion products. Marina hand & body lotion products are one of the body care products that are quite popular among Indonesian consumers, especially in urban areas. Increasingly tight competition in the cosmetics and personal care industry encourages companies to continue to pay attention to factors that can influence consumer behavior in making purchasing decisions. Therefore, this study focuses on four main variables that are considered to play an important role, namely product quality, price, brand image, and brand trust. The type of research used is quantitative research with a data collection method through the distribution of online questionnaires using Google Forms. The population in this study were consumers in the DKI Jakarta area who have used Marina hand & body lotion products. The sampling technique was carried out using purposive sampling, where respondents were selected based on certain criteria, namely having used Marina products. The number of samples used refers to the Hair formula, resulting in a sample size of 210 respondents. The collected data were then analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with the aim of testing the relationship between variables simultaneously and partially. The results of the study indicate that product quality, price, brand image, and brand trust have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions for Marina hand & body lotion products. This means that the higher consumers' perceptions of product quality, price suitability, good brand image, and level of trust in the Marina brand, the greater the likelihood of consumers deciding to make a purchase. These findings indicate that companies need to maintain consistent product quality, set competitive prices, strengthen brand image through effective marketing strategies, and increase brand trust through innovation and transparent communication.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of compensation, motivation, and work environment on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at PT Venezia Footwear Jombang. The research approach used was explanatory quantitative, with the population covering all project employees. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling, and data was collected through a questionnaire using the Likert scale. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to test the relationship between variables. The results of the study show that compensation, motivation, and work environment have a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction. In addition, compensation and motivation also have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while the work environment does not show a significant influence on performance. Job satisfaction has been shown to mediate the influence of compensation and motivation on employee performance, but it does not mediate the influence of the work environment. These findings confirm that increased compensation and motivation are key factors in driving job satisfaction and employee performance. Although the work environment has no direct effect on performance, it still plays an important role in creating a supportive work environment. The practical implications of this study are the need for a managerial strategy that focuses on strengthening the compensation system and developing work motivation to increase productivity and employee satisfaction in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in more depth the influence of institutional ownership, liquidity, sales growth, and company size on the financial performance of property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period, with a population of 94 companies. The research data are sourced from officially published annual financial reports. The sampling technique used a purposive sampling method based on certain criteria, resulting in 215 observational data from 43 companies that met the research requirements. Data analysis was conducted using a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression tests with the assistance of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22 software. The results show that institutional ownership and company size have a positive and significant influence on financial performance, meaning that the greater the institutional ownership and company size, the higher the resulting financial performance. However, liquidity and sales growth were shown to have no effect on financial performance, indicating that a company's ability to meet short-term obligations or an increase in sales volume does not always reflect better financial condition. Thus, it can be concluded that internal factors in the form of institutional ownership and company size are more dominant determinants in determining the financial performance of companies in the property and real estate sector in Indonesia compared to liquidity factors and sales growth.

Abstract

The World Footwear Yearbook 2023 ranks Indonesia as the fifth-largest consumer of footwear globally, indicating that the country is one of the most promising footwear markets. Bata, once a leading brand in the Indonesian casual shoe industry, has experienced a significant decline in reputation and sales, particularly in its store on WR. Supratman Street in Denpasar. This decline is suspected to be influenced by customers’ perceptions of the product quality and the brand’s image. This study aims to investigate the relationship between the brand image of Bata casual shoes and the impact of product quality on consumers’ purchase intention. The study used purposive sampling as part of a non-probability sampling strategy, focusing on customers who had previously purchased Bata shoes at the specified store. The results indicate that product quality not only plays a crucial role in building a positive brand perception but also has a direct and significant impact on consumers’ purchase intention. Moreover, the analysis reveals that the correlation between product quality and purchase intention is largely mediated by the brand image, which has a substantial impact on increasing purchase intention. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that improving product quality standards can enhance customers’ perceptions of the Bata brand, which in turn is likely to drive higher purchase intention. Therefore, companies should focus on improving product quality and brand image management strategies to attract greater consumer interest in the Indonesian casual shoe market.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in greater depth the influence of brand image and product quality on the purchase decisions of Chatime bubble tea consumers, using a case study of visitors at Mall Suzuya Marelan Plaza Medan. Employing a quantitative research design, the study utilizes a survey method by distributing structured questionnaires to 96 respondents selected through random sampling. The independent variables of the study consist of brand image and product quality, while the dependent variable is purchase decision. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS version 26 to identify both partial and simultaneous effects. The findings reveal that, when tested partially, brand image shows a negative and non-significant effect on purchase decisions, suggesting that the image of the brand alone does not strongly determine consumer choices. In contrast, product quality demonstrates a positive and significant influence on purchase decisions, indicating that consumers prioritize the quality of the beverage when making purchasing choices. Furthermore, when analyzed simultaneously, both brand image and product quality together exert a significant impact on purchase decisions. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 82.1% signifies that the two independent variables explain a large proportion of the variance, while the remaining percentage is attributed to other factors such as price and promotion.

The method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach and multiple linear regression analysis. The research sample consists of 60 employees, selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires that assess various aspects of work discipline, work motivation, and employee productivity. The collected data were then analyzed using SPSS version 25 to determine the relationship between the independent variables (work discipline and work motivation) and the dependent variable (employee productivity). The results of this study indicate that both work discipline and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee productivity. This was demonstrated through both partial and simultaneous analysis, where work discipline and motivation individually and collectively influenced productivity outcomes. These findings suggest that improvements in work discipline and motivation can lead to increased productivity among employees. The company is advised to continuously implement strategies aimed at enhancing these two factors, such as through regular training programs, providing incentives, and fostering a supportive work environment. These efforts will contribute to more optimal productivity and greater organizational success. The study concludes that attention to employee work discipline and motivation is essential for maintaining a high level of productivity in the workplace.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the main objective of determining and analyzing the influence of work motivation, internal communication, and time management on employee performance, with a population of 30 employees at the Liberta Hub Hotel Blok M. The data collection technique used a Likert-sized questionnaire designed to explore respondents' perceptions regarding the variables studied. Furthermore, the data obtained was processed using Microsoft Excel 2018 and SPSS version 25 software to make the analysis results more measurable and accurate. The analytical method used was multiple linear regression, which was chosen because it was able to show the magnitude of the influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable, namely employee performance. The results revealed that work motivation has a significant influence, where the higher the motivation of employees, the higher their performance. Internal communication also has a positive effect because the flow of clear, open, and effective information can support work coordination, reduce misunderstandings, and strengthen synergy within the team. In addition, time management has been shown to provide an important contribution, because the ability to manage work time well encourages efficiency, timely task completion, and optimal target achievement. Overall, this study confirms that work motivation, internal communication, and time management are factors that cannot be ignored in efforts to improve employee performance. The practical implications of this research result are expected to serve as a basis for the management of Hotel Liberta Hub Blok M to develop a more focused human resource development strategy, so that employee productivity continues to increase while supporting the provision of high-quality service to customers.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of work motivation (X1), work discipline (X2), and career development (X3) on teacher performance (Y) at SMK Kartika X-2 Jakarta. The research employed a quantitative approach with probability sampling, specifically saturated sampling, where all members of the population were included in the sample. A total of 45 respondents participated in the study. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression with SPSS V.22. The regression equation derived from the analysis is Y = -6.296 + 0.471 X1 + 0.039 X2 + 1.081 X3 + €. The findings indicate that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, suggesting that teachers who are motivated tend to perform better in their duties. On the other hand, work discipline showed a positive but not significant effect, implying that while discipline is important, it does not directly influence teacher performance in this study. Lastly, career development was found to have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, highlighting the importance of professional growth opportunities in enhancing teaching effectiveness. These findings suggest that schools should focus on improving teacher motivation and career development programs to boost overall performance, while also addressing work discipline to some extent. Further studies could explore other factors that might influence teacher performance
