Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of self-efficacy and individual innovation capability on employee performance, with work motivation as a mediating variable at the Maluku River Basin Office. A quantitative approach was used in this study, with data collection methods through the distribution of online questionnaires to 93 Maluku River Basin Office employees. The data obtained were then analyzed using a path analysis model and SEM-PLS analysis tools to test the direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results showed that self-efficacy and individual innovation capability have a positive and significant influence on employee work motivation. These two variables also have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. In this case, the self-efficacy variable is proven to have a significant influence on employee performance, indicating that employees' self-confidence in their ability to achieve goals can improve their performance results. Similarly, individual innovation capability has a significant influence on employee performance, indicating that employees' ability to innovate individually also plays a role in increasing productivity and work results. In addition, this study also found that work motivation has a significant influence on employee performance, confirming the importance of motivation in achieving optimal performance. Work motivation has also been shown to function as a mediator, able to mediate the influence of self-efficacy and individual innovation capability on employee performance. In other words, increasing individual self-efficacy and innovation capability can strengthen work motivation, which in turn will improve employee performance. This research provides useful insights for developing managerial strategies, particularly in human resource management to improve employee performance in government institutions such as the Maluku BWS.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), liquidity, and capital structure on the performance of mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. Company performance in this research is measured using the Net Profit Margin (NPM) as an indicator of profitability. GCG is proxied through two variables, namely managerial ownership and the existence of an audit committee. Liquidity is measured by the current ratio, while capital structure is assessed using the debt-to-asset ratio (DAR). This research employs a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. The data were obtained from annual financial reports of mining companies selected through purposive sampling to ensure that the sample met the research criteria. The findings reveal that GCG, as represented by managerial ownership, does not have a significant effect on company performance, whereas the existence of an audit committee has a positive and significant impact on performance improvement. Furthermore, liquidity does not significantly affect company performance, suggesting that the availability of current assets does not always translate into higher profitability. On the other hand, capital structure demonstrates a significant influence on company performance, highlighting the crucial role of effective capital structure management in sustaining and enhancing financial performance. These results provide practical implications for corporate management in formulating financial policies, for investors in evaluating company prospects, and for regulators in developing policies that foster better corporate governance practices within the mining sector.

Abstract

The state has a mandate to guarantee citizens' freedom of expression by protecting symbolic representations in public spaces. However, legal construction in Indonesia tends to use the law as a tool to limit visual interpretation, including popular cultural symbols such as the One Piece flag. This study aims to explain two main aspects of the mechanism of symbol criminalization: the state's construction of symbols as threats without any basis in actual violations, and the political use of fear through the production of imaginary enemies. The research method employed a qualitative approach with a conceptual approach. The results show that the state's interpretation of visual symbols rests not on the legality of the action, but on controlling the potential meanings that develop outside the official narrative. Within this construction, the law operates as a filtering mechanism for forms of articulation deemed inconsistent with the state's ideological interests. This strategy shifts the focus from concrete violations to the surveillance of social imagination. Thus, the criminalization of symbols occurs not because of their factual content, but because they open up pathways of solidarity that cannot be institutionally controlled. A critical criminological approach demonstrates that the state uses the law to enforce symbolic domination through techniques of controlling meaning within a democratic regime that formally promises freedom of expression.

Abstract

Securing State Property (BMN) is one of the stages of the state property cycle to protect goods from the risk of loss, damage, and misuse. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of procedures for securing state property for office equipment at LPP RRI Surakarta. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. The data collection techniques used by the author include observation, interviews, and review of documents and archives. Based on the author's research results at LPP RRI Surakarta, securing state property for office equipment is said to be effective but not optimal. The security process is carried out in accordance with the Peraturan Menteri PUPR No. 30 of 2020 and is completed on time. Activities are carried out with accurate measurements and are on target and objective. Although there are errors in the installation of barcode labels, the Decree for the Application for Use Status is missing, and users who move goods do not comply with the provisions, so improvements need to be made to increase the effectiveness of securing state property for office equipment at LPP RRI Surakarta.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing tax compliance among MSME taxpayers in Gresik Regency, focusing on tax knowledge, tax sanctions, and the use of information technology. A quantitative approach was employed using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 97 MSME respondents who met the research criteria. The results showed that tax knowledge and tax sanctions have a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance. This indicates that higher levels of understanding of tax regulations and stricter enforcement of sanctions can enhance compliance. However, the use of information technology was found unable to moderate the relationship between tax knowledge or tax sanctions and taxpayer compliance. These findings suggest that although digital systems have been implemented in tax administration, their effectiveness remains limited. Therefore, strengthening tax education and optimizing digital platforms are essential to improve MSME taxpayer compliance sustainably in Gresik Regency.

Abstract

The problem in this study is employee performance at the Sidikalang District Court, where performance is suboptimal, and there are indications of a lack of work ethic and competence in several aspects. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of competence and work ethic on employee performance at the Sidikalang District Court. This study used quantitative methods. The population and sample were 35 employees at the Sidikalang District Court. Sampling was conducted using a saturated sampling technique. Data sources in this study were primary and secondary data. Data collection methods in this study included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis used multiple linear regression, with hypothesis testing (partial test, simultaneous test, coefficient of determination test) at the Sidikalang District Court. Data processing was performed using SPSS version 25. The results of the multiple linear regression test are Y = 1.332 + 0.415X1 + 0.345X2 + e which shows that competence and work ethic will improve employee performance. The results of the partial test (t-test) show that competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance where it can be seen t count = 3.057> t table 2.036. And the work ethic variable also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance where it can be seen = 2.605> t table 2.036. The results of the simultaneous test (F test) can be seen the F count value = 96.771> t table 3.29, meaning that together competence and work ethic have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The results of the determination coefficient with a correlation regression value of 0.849 (84,90%), so it can be said that 84,90 % of the variation of the independent variables, namely competence and work ethic in the model, explains the employee performance variable at the Sidikalang District Court while the remaining 15,1% is explained by other variables.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and non-physical work environment on the psychological well-being of employees at the Investment and Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) of Jambi Province. The research method used is a quantitative method with a survey approach. The research population included all 106 employees of the DPMPTSP of Jambi Province, with a sample of 84 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires designed based on indicators of transformational leadership, non-physical work environment, and psychological well-being. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistical tests to examine the relationships and influences between variables. The results of the study show that: (1) Transformational leadership is in the good category with an average score of 330.1; (2) The non-physical work environment is in the very conducive category with an average score of 357.3; (3) The psychological well-being of employees is in the prosperous category with an average score of 317.7. The partial test (t-test) results show that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on psychological well-being (p = 0.019 < 0.05). The non-physical work environment also has a positive and significant effect on psychological well-being (p = 0.000 < 0.05). The results of the simultaneous test (F-test) show that both independent variables together have a significant effect on well-being (p = 0,000 < 0,05) with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.618, which means that 61.8% of the variation in psychological well-being is explained by transformational leadership and the non-physical work environment.
