Abstract

Social entrepreneurship is a business concept that not only focuses on commercial activities, but also on how to solve social and environmental problems. Indonesia, as a developing country, still often encounters social and environmental problems.That the research carried out using the literature review method uses relevant literature to examine how social entrepreneurship addresses social problems with SDGs value. The paradigm used by social entrepreneurs in realizing the goals of the SDGs is to use ecological repentance. This paradigm encourages humans to always pay attention to actions taken towards nature and the environment. This is because the natural damage that occurs will ultimately have a negative impact on humans.The results of this study show that social entrepreneurship has an important role in realizing the SDGs. Apart from that, the factors for achieving success in social entrepreneurship require a leader who is visionary, innovative and adaptive. Establishing cooperation and partnerships between institutions also plays an important role in addition to the need for financial support from investors and policies from the government side. To increase the success of entrepreneurship in overcoming social and environmental problems in society, there are several recommendations, including providing financial assistance from investors and government policies. Then increasing awareness and educating the community is also a way that can be done so that people can increase their income and contribute to protecting the environment.

Abstract

The high demand for motorised vehicles in Indonesia has resulted in an increased demand for fossil fuels, which has led to a decrease in their availability. One alternative solution is to utilise ethanol as fuel. The use of ethanol can increase the octane value of the fuel, but this requires adjustments to the engine's compression ratio. One way to increase the compression ratio is to modify the piston surface. By applying alternative fuels and modifying the piston surface, it is expected to reduce CO and HC exhaust emissions. This study aims to determine the effect of various piston surface shapes on CO and HC exhaust emissions when using pertalite and pertalite fuel mixture with ethanol. In this study, the test used a gas analyser to obtain CO and HC emission data. The research data is presented in tabular form and analysed using the two-way ANOVA method and graphs. The results of using variations in piston surface and fuel mixture showed the highest reduction in CO emissions of 65.9% at RPM 6000 and HC emissions of 48.5% at RPM 3500.

Abstract

UMKM Batik Rajasamas Maos produces various types of batik, one of which is hand-written batik. The work process for making written batik at UMKM Batik Rajasamas Maos is still done manually and does not pay attention to a comfortable working environment for workers. In the science of ergonomics there are important things about working posture and the movements carried out by humans. This research was conducted to make a proposal for a chair design for batik craftsmen using the RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) method analysis. The RULA method is a fast method for assessing upper body posture. After carrying out this research, it is known that the ergonomic risk level of batik craftsmen's working posture requires further investigation and in the future, replacing the old work chair with a new work chair designed based on an anthropometric approach. A new work chair that has been designed based on an anthropometric approach.

Abstract

Ma'had Tarbiyatul Banaat Ummu Sulaim Balikpapan is a non-formal education institution and a Quran memorization (tahfidz) center based on a specialized Muslim women's Islamic boarding school. The registration process for new female students is currently done manually using spreadsheets and written exams. To address this issue, a solution is proposed in the form of an online registration application with a Computer-Based Test (CBT) feature that randomizes questions using the Fisher Yates algorithm. The research methodology used in this study includes data collection needs analysis, application design, and application testing. The results of the research indicate that this application allows prospective female students to fill out their personal information and take CBT exams online, with questions randomized using the Fisher Yates algorithm. Additionally, the administration of new female student registrations can efficiently manage student data and exam questions. This research has been successfully designed with the hope of assisting prospective female students in the registration process and simplifying administrative tasks for the staff. The use of the Fisher Yates algorithm for randomizing CBT questions also yields good results in minimizing cheating during the examination process.

Abstract

Makassar industrial area has increased economic activity and traffic. The aim of this research is to evaluate and maximize the types of traffic facilities needed to facilitate safe and efficient mobility in the Makassar Industrial Area. Field surveys, traffic volume analysis, and evaluation of existing infrastructure were carried out to achieve research objectives. The research results show that, as vehicle volumes increase, especially heavy vehicles, road infrastructure and supporting facilities must be adjusted. Widening roads, adding signs and markings, optimizing the traffic management system, and providing pedestrian facilities and public road lighting are the main recommendations. Additionally, it was decided that pedestrian facilities, a good drainage system, and access to emergency vehicles were of the utmost importance. It is hoped that the implementation of these recommendations will improve security, reduce congestion, and encourage sustainable economic growth in the Makassar Industrial Area.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of implementing information systems on the quality of financial reports at the KPP Pratama Bireuen office. This research uses quantitative descriptive methods, with primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques use questionnaire and documentation methods. The results of this research show that the implementation of information systems has a significant effect of 70,2% on the quality of financial reports.

Abstract

Cattle are livestock that have economic potential. Alongside their significant economic potential, there is a considerable risk, namely diseases in cattle. Diseases in cattle can spread rapidly and can be fatal, leading to death. These diseases can be caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. To prevent the spread of diseases in cattle, cattle farmers must first be aware of the diseases in their livestock so that prevention and treatment can be carried out as early as possible. Using the Rational Unified Process (RUP), a expert system for diagnosing diseases in cattle is built to support this process. The expert system is constructed using the Random Forest Algorithm, with its implementation based on a website to provide quick and practical diagnostic results, offering information relevant to the type of disease.

Abstract

In 2023, the number of internet users in Indonesia significantly increased to 212.9 million, highlighting the importance of reliable network infrastructure. A broadband network company operating in the telecommunications sector faces various risks in its procurement process of materials and services that are essential to support its operations. Risks such as material delays and specification mismatches present challenges that must be carefully managed. This study employs the House of risk (HOR) method to analyze 19 risk agents and risk events that could potentially impact the procurement process, focusing on five primary risk agents. The proposed preventive actions, particularly through effective communication, are expected to mitigate the impact of risks in the procurement process within the broadband network company.

Abstract

Plastic packaging manufacturing company, X Corporation uses assembly machines to produce spout. In 2023, the assembly machine experinced a high frequency of downtime, which is 106 times with a total 190.5 hours. This research aims to analyze the machine maintenance management with the RCM method. Determination of critical components by FMEA, with an RPN value at very high level (> 200), four critical components are obtained, namely line feeder, transmission, electrical sensor, pneumatic. Calculation of reliability values using Weibull distribution. Then obtained the reliability value of line feeder component 0.5 when (t) 128 hours, transmission 0.5 when (t) 96 hours, electrical sensor 0.5 when (t) 184 hours, and pneumatic 0.5 when (t) 627 hours. Based on the reliability value, the line feeder maintenance schedule is determined every 5 days (max. inspection), 2 weeks (repair), 1 month (replace); transmission every 4 days (max. inspection), 4 weeks (repair), 2 months (replace); electrical sensor every 8 days (max. inspection), 5 months (repair), 10 months (replace); pneumatic every 28 days (max. inspection), 3 months (repair), 6 months (replace); overhaul at least once a year. The preventive maintenance cost in one year is Rp45,107,309.

Abstract

Technological developments and modern industrial needs increasingly demand high energy efficiency in refrigeration machine operations. In this context, the development of a more efficient cooling machine control system is very necessary. Good control not only helps in saving energy, but also ensures that the cooling machine operates at optimal conditions at all times. This research aims to develop a more efficient cooling machine control system using advanced sensors and the latest monitoring technology. This research was simulated using Peltier. The proposed control system adopts the Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) approach, which has been proven to be effective in optimizing control system performance. This PID approach has the advantage of adjusting control output quickly and precisely based on changing operational conditions. The use of the PID approach can adjust the control output quickly and accurately, which significantly improves the performance of the cooling system. IoT technology can quickly collect data and better integrate between cooling machines and monitoring systems, providing deeper insight into machine operational performance. The results of this research show that the PID system using Kp: 20 Ki: 0.8 Kd: 1.2 data can stabilize the temperature precisely and accurately compared to using other Kp, Kd, Ki data.
