Abstract

Evaluation of industrial waste emission reduction programs is a critical step in efforts to achieve environmental protection targets. These programs aim to reduce the negative impact of industrial pollution on the environment and human health. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the industrial waste emission reduction program that has been carried out in an effort to achieve the environmental protection targets that have been set. The journal research method with the literature review method is an approach used to collect, evaluate, and synthesize information from various relevant literature sources. The effectiveness of industrial waste emission reduction programs is very important to maintain environmental sustainability. These programs aim to reduce the negative impact of industrial pollution on the environment and human health. Evaluation of the effectiveness of these programs is crucial to ensure that emissions reduction efforts achieve the desired results (Ikhtiarin et al, 2023). In this evaluation, it is necessary to consider an analysis of the type of emissions targeted, external factors that influence the effectiveness of the program, and the social and economic impacts of the program. Apart from that, the application of technology and innovation to reduce emissions and industry compliance with emission reduction programs are also important factors. Community participation and involvement also plays a role in supporting the success of industrial waste emission reduction programs, by increasing awareness and active participation of the community in efforts to reduce waste emissions.

Abstract

Water is an important resource in daily life on board a ship. pH is a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution, including water. The pH value ranges from 0 to 14, where a pH of 7 indicates a neutral solution, a pH value of less than 7 indicates an acidic solution, and a pH value of more than 7 indicates a basic solution. Therefore, it is important to have an effective monitoring and control system to ensure the pH value is safe and meets applicable standards. The method used in this research uses an experiment using an ESP32 microcontroller and the parameters used are a pH sensor to determine the pH value of the water on board the ship. The sensor provides data input to the ESP32. The data is processed and displayed on the LCD. In this system, if the pH of the water does not meet the standard, the ESP32 drives pump 1 or 2 to flow the acid or base solution. Testing on tools made to detect the pH value of water. The purpose of making this tool is to monitor and control water quality in order to avoid dangers that may arise due to exposure to water that is contaminated or with an inappropriate pH. This system can function well because there is an average error of 0.24% in testing between the pH sensor and the pH meter.

Abstract

Oil is one of the essential lubricating materials for machinery, especially on ships. With the abundant use of oil, waste oil is generated from the remaining oil discharge, causing dirty oil to become waste oil. To monitor the disposal of waste oil by ships, "Waste Oil Monitoring System Using LoRa-Based Arduino Uno" has been created. This tool is also equipped with sensors that can distinguish seawater and waste oil and uses the LoRa system. This method involves researching problems that exist in the shipping environment. The presence of waste oil pollution was successfully detected in the results of this study, and can be monitored remotely through an LCD display with LoRa. In this case study, the device made can detect waste oil and can distinguish it from sea water. The purpose of making this tool is to detect the presence of oil in sea waters in order to reduce and prevent waste oil pollution that can spread widely in sea waters. The system can function properly because there is an error of 2.18% in the fresh water test, 2.08% in the seawater test, 4.55% in the oil test, and 3.08% in the seawater and oil mixture test compared between the pH sensor and the pH meter. The system can work well using LoRa Ra-02, and the transmitted data can be reached stably at a distance of 205m, but if it exceeds that distance, the data can no longer be received by the receiver or becomes invalid.

Abstract

Water is the most abundant thing on earth. However, in reality, the water on ships is not always considered consumable. This is caused by the FWG (Fresh Water Generator) auxiliary machine processing process. FWG is a ship auxiliary engine that produces fresh or salt water through a distillation process. FWG carries out distillation using a heat source from the jacket for the evaporation process to produce fresh water. The accuracy of the salt content produced through FWG is not yet known. If processed FWG products whose salt content is unknown are still consumed, it will have a negative impact on health, such as: kidney failure and the risk of developing kidney stones. Based on this problem, a tool was designed to monitor the salt content of processed FWG on board ships so that it could be used by all crew members and passengers. According to quality standards, the salt content that can be consumed by humans is below 50 ppm, with a pH between 5.0 to 7.5 and a turbidity of between 5 and 25 NTU. By designing this tool, we will be able to monitor the suitability of FWG fresh water so that it can be consumed on board. With the help of LCD, it will be able to help provide information regarding monitoring results of water quality. In testing this tool, the pH sensor, turbidity sensor and salinometer conductivity sensor will help to test the suitability of fresh water.

Abstract

This study discusses topics related to water quality, fecal coliforms, total coliforms, and the comparison of the dry season and the rainy season. Apart from that, other journals discuss water quality analysis in the Welang Rejoso River Basin during the dry season and rainy season. This research aims to determine the level of river water pollution and compare it with water quality standards. The research method uses secondary data and sampling is carried out at 10 location points. The analysis results show several water parameters that exceed class III river water quality standards. It is hoped that the results of this research will help in more effective management and preservation of the river environment, with policy recommendations that need to be implemented to overcome water quality problems in the river.

Abstract

Data communication is a method for transferring information using an electronic transmission system from one computer device to another computer device, or from a computer to a specific terminal. The implementation of data communication in Osi Layer PC to PC aims to update the method of data communication. OSI is a reference model in the form of a conceptual framework that establishes connection standards for computers. The aim of creating the OSI reference model is to serve as a guide for users to make it easier to communicate between PCs. This research is descriptive in nature, with the aim of recognizing, observing and explaining certain phenomena without manipulation or intervention. The two methods used in this research are literature study and simulation. In this research, Cisco Packet Tracer software is used to create computer network simulations. The research results obtained are in the form of a simulation of implementing data communications using Cisco Packet Tracket from creating a network topology, determining the IP address to simulating a computer network.

Abstract

PT. XYZ merupakan sebuah perusahaan Total Food Solutions yang mencakup semua tahapan proses produksi hingga distribusi. Salah satu proses produksi dengan temuan cacat produk terbanyak adalah produksi foam cup. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengendalian kualitas agar produk yang dihasilkan PT. XYZ memenuhi spesifikasi konsumen maupun standar perusahaan. Metode Statistical Quality Control (SQC) dipilih untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi dengan 180 sampel pada masing-masing mesin. Analisis data dilanjutkan dengan histogram, peta kendali p, fishbone diagram, dan acceptance sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan masih terdapat mesin yang datanya in control tetapi nilai capability process (Cpk < 1) yang artinya tidak capable atau belum mampu menghasilkan produk yang sesuai spesifikasi konsumen. Analisis penarikan keputusan (acceptance sampling) berdasarkan lot yang diperiksa menyatakan bahwa semua lot diterima.

Abstract

In mining activities, especially in coal mining, of course there is a plan/design in mining activities that will be carried out such as production scheduling, fleet determination, to monthly/annual mining design stages. At PT.RPP Contractors Indonesia (RCI), precisely in the north pit, it has a production target that has been set, so it is necessary to phase out the mining plan to increase the planned production level and also to divide the entire volume in the pit limit into planning units that are smaller and easier to handle. To design a mining activity that will be carried out at PT.RPP Contractors Indonesia in making mining stages by making effective working hours or Standard Operational Parameters (SPO), determining the units to be used in mining activities, determining the fleet system and monthly design/ annual. The method used in making the mining phasing design is by making a block model for the bondary pit design and making schdulling stages in the software to facilitate the achievement of the production targets to be set. The results of the research resulted in mining stages in the Shorterm period (Quarterly) with estimated reserves of Overburden 713.000 BCM dan Coal 146.000 MT. Januari 203.917 BCM/44.500 MT, Februari 234.000 BCM/48.000 MT, Maret 265.000 BCM/54.000 MT with work units used 3 units of Excacvators and HD/dump trucks for OB removal and coal getting processes. With a 3 fleet system for stripping Overburden and Coal getting.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of occupational safety on work productivity, the influence of occupational health on work productivity, the influence of occupational safety and health simultaneously on work productivity, as well as analyzing the dominant factors that influence the productivity of construction project workers. This research uses quantitative methods with multiple linear regression analysis. The population in this study were all employees and workers of the UGM FKKMK Microbiology Building Construction Project. The research results show that occupational safety and health have a partial or simultaneous effect on work productivity. The results of the dominant test analysis show that the occupational safety variable is more influential than the occupational health variable, namely 55.9%, while the occupational health variable is 45.9%.

Abstract

The electrode rods in the grounding system of the High Voltage transmission tower that are embedded in the ground will experience changes in grounding resistance values ​​over time. If the grounding resistance value increases and exceeds the set standard, which is <10 Ω, then immediate repairs need to be made. This research was conducted on the 150 kV High Voltage transmission tower from Sekarputih to Ngoro using the Earth Tester tool. The purpose of this study was to find the right method to improve grounding resistance on the 150 kV High Voltage tower that has high impedance to comply with the standard. The results of measurements in the field showed that there were 3 towers with high grounding resistance values, which exceeded <10 Ω, which required immediate repairs.
