Abstract

The phenomenon of unemployed husbands in Rengasdengklok, Karawang Regency, reflects a shift in family roles influenced by economic, health, and educational factors. In the context of patriarchal culture, husbands typically serve as the primary breadwinners; however, many are now taking on domestic responsibilities while their wives work as Overseas Female Workers (TKW). This study employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to understand the experiences and meanings constructed by unemployed husbands. The findings indicate that unemployed husbands often experience psychological pressure and social stigma, while their wives become the family's primary providers. Intrapersonal and interpersonal communication play crucial roles in shaping self-acceptance and maintaining family harmony amid existing challenges. This research highlights the complexity of family dynamics and the role changes that occur due to socio-economic conditions

Abstract

The VUCA era (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) demands organizations to adapt rapidly, effectively, and intelligently. Traditional leadership models often prove inadequate to respond to such complexities. This study explores Adaptive Leadership 5.0, a modern leadership paradigm that integrates the Agile Mindset, Growth Mindset, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as foundational pillars to navigate disruption. Agile Mindset enables a culture of experimentation and continuous learning, while Growth Mindset provides the psychological foundation for resilience and innovation. Meanwhile, AI acts as a catalyst for data-driven decision-making and managerial efficiency. This study investigates how the synergy of these three elements enhances critical thinking, complex problem solving, and adaptive managerial competencies. Through a conceptual approach and literature review, this research confirms that Adaptive Leadership 5.0 strengthens leaders’ capabilities to thrive amidst uncertainty and rapid change in the VUCA environment.

Abstract

Cleanliness and passenger comfort significantly affect service quality at railway stations. Currently,x` cleanliness management relies heavily on verbal instructions and manual reporting methods, resulting in inefficiencies in monitoring and documentation. This research aims to digitize reporting, monitoring, and documentation processes through a web-based system. The system was developed using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, which includes planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing phases. Two main user roles are involved: Facility and Station Security (Kebfasta and Kebfaska) division officers as report initiators, and cleaning staff (OSC/K2) as task responders. Reports and task completions are digitally documented, enabling real-time monitoring, effective documentation, and automated generation of daily or monthly reports. Evaluation results demonstrate that this implemented system significantly improves documentation accuracy, reduces response time, and enhances the management of cleanliness and passenger comfort in railway stations.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the interpersonal communication strategies applied by frontliners at Naughty Accessories Mall Karawang Central Plaza in building customer loyalty. The research is motivated by the increasing customer demand for excellent service and the intense competition among brands in the retail accessories industry. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques and participatory observation. The results show that the interpersonal communication strategy, which includes Joseph DeVito’s five dimensions—openness, empathy, supportiveness, positiveness, and equality—effectively builds emotional closeness, creates comfort, and increases repurchase intensity. Frontliners at Naughty do more than sell products; they create a pleasant shopping experience. This finding is reinforced by Peter Blau's social exchange theory, which explains that loyalty is formed when customers feel the benefits they receive outweigh the sacrifices they make.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and understand the communication events between the coach and athletes of the BKC Karate Team at Dojo Dengklok, as well as the forms of verbal and non-verbal communication within the team. The analysis is based on symbolic interaction theory and group convergence theory to examine group cohesiveness within the BKC Karate Team at Dojo Dengklok, Karawang Regency. The research was conducted using a qualitative method with an ethnographic study approach. The findings reveal that the cohesiveness of the BKC Karate Team at Dojo Dengklok is firmly established through rich symbolic interaction. Through symbols such as chants, belts, and rituals, as well as two-way communication and informal interactions among athletes, the team constructs shared meanings, a collective identity, and a sense of pride. This process also helps athletes understand their roles and shape their self-concepts. The BKC Karate Team at Dojo Dengklok demonstrates strong cohesiveness due to its effective management of internal conflicts. Minor conflicts, such as differences in technique or miscommunication, are resolved through mediation and deliberation led by the coach, as well as informal communication among athletes. This process allows the team to achieve symbolic convergence, transforming friction into a reinforcement of mutual understanding, trust, and team unity. The strong cohesiveness of the BKC Karate Team at Dojo Dengklok is formed through intense symbolic interaction and convergence abilities in facing challenges. This is evident from the shared meanings built through chants, belts, rituals, and both verbal and non-verbal communication. Moreover, informal interactions among athletes and the team's ability to support one another during economic hardships further strengthen their bonds and trust. These processes as a whole create a solid collective identity, a strong sense of belonging, and a unified purpose, making the team more than just a group of individuals.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has driven innovation in various sectors, including the culinary industry. This study develops Cookgenix.AI, an intelligent chatbot that provides recipe recommendations based on available ingredients and user preferences. This system implements two main methods, namely Collaborative Filtering to understand user preference patterns and FP-Growth to extract associations between ingredients. The evaluation results show that the system is able to provide accurate and relevant recommendations, with a precision of 87% and a recall of 85%. Cookgenix.AI is expected to be a practical solution in efficient and personalized daily menu planning. Abstract

Education is a fundamental pillar in shaping students' abilities and potential, with one of the critical factors often under attention being the time spent on studying. Understanding the extent to which study time impacts academic achievement is essential for improving education quality. This study aims to explore whether there is a significant relationship between the number of study hours per week and students' final exam scores. The methods used in this research include K-Means Clustering, Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and the Apriori Algorithm. The expected result of this study is to discover a significant correlation between the two variables. If a significant positive correlation is found, it would indicate that increased study time is associated with better exam performance. Conversely, if the correlation is weak or negative, it would suggest that other factors may play a more dominant role in influencing students' academic performance. Furthermore, significance testing is conducted to ensure that the results of the analysis did not occur by chance. This research is expected to provide valuable insights for parents and students in developing more effective and efficient learning strategies. For educators, these findings can serve as a foundation for designing more structured learning programs, including recommendations for optimal study time allocation. On the other hand, for students, the results of this study can serve as a guide to managing their study time more optimally.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a Chronic disease with a continuously increasing global prevalance, including in Indonesia, posing a serious challenge to healthcare systems. Early detection and risk stratification of individuals are crucial for implementing effective prevention and management strategies. This research utilizes the K-Means Clustering algorithm, an unsupervised learning method in data mining, to identify and group individuals based on their diabetes risk profiles from available medical data. The dataset used is the popular Pima Indian Indian Dataset, comprising eight clinical attributes such as glucose level, blood pressure, skin thickness, BMI, and age. The methodological process includes data preprocessing with standardization using StandardScaler, determining the optimal number of clusters through the Elbow Method, Implementing K-Means clustering, and evaluating clustering quality using the Silhouette Coefficient. The research results demonstrate that this algorithm can group patients into low, medium, and high-risk categories with sufficient cluster accuracy. This approach can be used as a supporting tool in medical decision systems.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of an early detection system for heart disease using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Random Forest method. Heart disease, particularly coronary heart disease (CHD), is a leading cause of death worldwide, with early detection being a crucial factor in reducing mortality rates. The study uses a dataset from the UCI Machine Learning Repository, consisting of 303 patient records with various medical factors like age, sex, cholesterol levels, and blood pressure. The Random Forest algorithm is employed to create a predictive model capable of classifying whether an individual is at risk for heart disease. Data preprocessing, including normalization and encoding categorical variables, is carried out before training the model. The system achieved a high accuracy rate of 98.5% in predicting heart disease risk. The developed model is deployed as an API and can be integrated into healthcare applications for real-time risk prediction, supporting timely medical decisions. This system aims to contribute to the improvement of early heart disease detection, offering an efficient tool for healthcare professionals.

Abstract

This study was written because some students have been negatively affected by online gambling, and to figure out how to stop it. Online gambling itself is a game that uses the internet and involves money or valuable items, where players top up their digital wallets or e-wallets to participate. Players can win or lose, and the game involves betting. The research question in this study is: How does persuasive communication influence students to engage in online gambling, and how can persuasive communication be used to prevent online gambling among students? The objective of this study is to understand how persuasive communication influences the mindset and behavior of students in Surakarta and to identify efforts or methods to prevent online gambling addiction. The benefits of this study are to obtain in-depth information regarding how persuasive communication patterns influence students in Surakarta and the preventive measures for online gambling. The theory used in this study is the learning theory or social cognitive theory. This study is classified as qualitative descriptive, with data collection through semi-structured interviews using snowball sampling.
