Abstract

Career selection is a crucial process that influences a person's satisfaction and success in the workplace. Many individuals, especially students, experience difficulty in determining career choices that align with their interests and skills. Therefore, a system is needed to assist in the decision-making process in an objective and measurable manner. This study aims to implement the ORESTE (Organization Rangement and Synthesis of People's Relationships) method in a decision support system for career selection based on interests and skills. The ORESTE method was used because it can rank alternatives based on multiple criteria without requiring overly complex weighting. The criteria used in this study included gender, interests, skills, salary expectations, and occupation. The research process involved data analysis, weighting, normalization, distance score calculation, and ranking to generate the most appropriate career recommendations. The results show that the ORESTE-based decision support system is capable of providing accurate and relevant career recommendations based on user characteristics. This system is also considered to help students understand their potential and facilitate the career decision-making process. Thus, the application of the ORESTE method has proven effective as an objective, systematic, and efficient decision-making tool in determining career choices according to individual interests and skills.

Abstract

The agricultural sector’s dependence on fossil energy sources such as diesel and electricity from the national grid presents significant challenges, particularly in rural areas with limited energy access, high operational costs, and inadequate infrastructure. These challenges directly affect irrigation systems that require continuous energy supply. To address these issues, this research aims to design and implement a 120 WP Solar Power Plant (PLTS) system equipped with intelligent Internet of Things (IoT)-based control as an environmentally friendly, efficient, and sustainable renewable energy solution to optimize paddy field irrigation in Kresek, Tangerang. The system utilizes monocrystalline solar panels to convert solar energy into electrical energy stored in a LiFePO4 battery, which is then used to power an irrigation water pump. Key components include an inverter, solar charge controller (SCC), ESP32 microcontroller, and several sensors such as INA219 for voltage, ACS712 for current, DS18B20 for temperature, and BH1750 for light intensity. All sensor data is transmitted in real-time and visualized through the Blynk platform, enabling users to monitor system conditions remotely via mobile devices. Experimental results demonstrate that the system operates stably with high efficiency and a sensor error rate of less than 2%. Moreover, the system successfully powers irrigation pumps with consistent output suitable for a 15 m × 12 m field. This research concludes that the IoT-based 120 WP solar power system is an effective solution for supporting clean energy transitions, reducing fossil fuel dependency, lowering agricultural operational costs, and enhancing the productivity and sustainability of irrigation systems in rural farming areas.

Abstract

The increasing demand for electrical energy in Kupang City, particularly in the Kayu Putih Subdistrict, necessitates a system capable of efficiently and accurately identifying electricity consumption patterns. The continuously rising demand for electrical energy may lead to various problems if not properly managed, such as supply disruptions or energy wastage. Therefore, this study aims to classify household electricity consumption patterns using a data-driven approach based on the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) method. The KNN method was chosen for its effectiveness in classifying data with a high level of accuracy, especially for datasets with complex characteristics. The designed system categorizes household electricity consumption into three main classes: low, medium, and high. This classification considers several important factors, including the number of family members, the types of electrical appliances used, and their daily usage habits. The results of the study indicate that the KNN method successfully classified household electricity consumption patterns with good performance. Testing using a confusion matrix achieved the highest accuracy of 97% at K = 4. This model was selected for implementation in the household electricity consumption classification system using the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) method.

Abstract

Digital transformation has changed the marketing industry, enabling micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to use platforms such as TikTok to expand their reach. With over one billion active users, especially among the younger generation, TikTok offers a short video format that supports interactive visual content to quickly build brand awareness. However, there are several challenges, such as understanding visual strategies and trends, which can be obstacles for MSMEs. Previous research shows that visual approaches are highly effective but lack structured synthesis. This study aims to identify dominant visual elements and TikTok trends that can increase brand awareness for MSMEs, while providing theoretical and practical guidelines for entrepreneurs, academics, and policymakers. The method used is a systematic literature review with a qualitative approach, selecting articles from sources such as Google Scholar and Garuda, focusing on keywords related to visual strategies and TikTok trends. The results show that visual elements such as authentic stories, trending music, and the use of filters can increase interaction, while trends such as hashtag challenges and collaborations with influencers can strengthen viral potential through algorithms. The main challenges faced are limited resources and digital literacy levels. Practical implications include training in digital skills and collaboration with influencers to maximize the use of TikTok, which will support innovation in MSME marketing strategies.

Abstract

Mandala Chain is the first layer-1 blockchain developed in Indonesia, focusing on interoperability, data security, and ease of adoption. As a blockchain-based platform, Mandala Chain includes key features such as dashboard, connect wallet, project, develop, and mandala academy, which must be verified for proper functionality. This study aims to test these features automatically using Katalon Studio as an automation testing tool. The research adopts the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) approach, consisting of Requirement Analysis, Test Planning, Test Case Development, Test Environment Setup, Test Execution, and Test Cycle Closure. This structured method ensures that the testing process is systematic, measurable, and well-documented. A total of 23 test cases were created and organized into seven test suites covering all major features of the Mandala Chain website. The results show that all test cases passed successfully, indicating that the tested features function as specified. The implementation of automated testing using Katalon Studio effectively improves efficiency, ensures result consistency, and minimizes human error risks in verifying the functionality of blockchain-based systems such as Mandala Chain.

Abstract

Cleaning services in amusement facilities are an essential component of public service, ensuring visitor comfort and safety. However, the aspect of interpersonal communication between cleaning staff and visitors is often overlooked in service management. In fact, interpersonal communication plays a crucial role in building positive relationships, enhancing trust, and creating a satisfying service experience (DeVito, 2016). This study aims to examine how interpersonal communication by cleaning staff influences visitors’ perceptions of the quality of cleaning services at the Ferris Wheel G-Walk Citraland Palembang. The research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with three cleaning staff members, two facility managers, and five visitors, as well as visual documentation as supporting data. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings indicate that interpersonal communication skills are a key factor in shaping positive visitor perceptions of cleaning services. Therefore, interpersonal communication training should be integrated into the competency development of cleaning personnel, especially in recreational public spaces that prioritize visitor experience. These findings affirm that the quality of public services is not solely determined by technical aspects, but also by the quality of human interaction during service delivery (Zeithaml, Bitner, & Gremler, 2018). Thus, interpersonal communication is a strategic component in enhancing experience-based public service quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of self-disclosure and the formation of intimacy among Generation Z members in the thrifting community in Tabanan through the perspective of Social Penetration Theory. Generation Z, who grew up in the digital era, is known for open, expressive, and adaptive interpersonal communication styles within new social environments. The thrifting community, which focuses on buying and selling secondhand items and sharing interests in sustainable lifestyles, provides a social space that facilitates meaningful interactions among members. This research employs a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with several active members of the community. The findings reveal that self-disclosure serves as the main foundation for building closeness and mutual trust among members. The process of social penetration occurs gradually, starting from light conversations about shared interests to more personal and emotional discussions. The intimacy developed strengthens solidarity, a sense of togetherness, and group identity. In addition to serving as a communication tool, self-disclosure also functions as a mechanism for fostering empathy and mutual understanding among members. These findings indicate that Social Penetration Theory is relevant in explaining the interpersonal communication dynamics of Generation Z in thrifting communities, where social relationships grow through openness, trust, and intimacy.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of an interactive educational Android application for animal classification based on their diet: herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores. The application leverages advances in deep learning and computer vision to analyze input images, distinguish morphological characteristics relevant to diet, and accurately identify and classify animal species. By adopting Agile methods, the project ensures flexibility in adapting to changing needs, enhances team collaboration, and enables iterative feature delivery with rapid feedback. The application is designed to engage users, particularly children and adolescents, through two main features: a "reading" menu that presents detailed and engaging visual information about animals and their dietary classifications, and an interactive "quiz" menu to test user understanding. This approach addresses the limitations food type data, and successfully trains and tests classification models. This success confirms the app's potential as an effective and engaging learning tool for introducing animal classification concepts, while of manual identification methods and the lack of relevant interactive educational tools in the current educational landscape. Test results indicate that the app performs well in managing animal and also supporting wildlife monitoring and conservation efforts by providing an accessible and user-friendly platform.

Abstract

Cryptocurrency is a digital asset that continues to gain popularity due to its decentralized nature and potential for profit, but its high price volatility poses significant challenges for investors. This study aims to develop a price prediction software for Ethereum cryptocurrency using the Support Vector Regression (SVR) algorithm. Historical price data were collected, preprocessed, normalized using MinMaxScaler, and divided into training and testing datasets. The SVR model was optimized using the GridSearch method to obtain the best hyperparameters. Model performance was evaluated using MAE, RMSE, and MAPE, resulting in 199.61 (7.60%), 227.57 (8.66%), and 8.64%, respectively, indicating good predictive accuracy. The software was developed with the Flask framework and tested using Blackbox testing and stress testing via Locust, showing stable system performance with efficient response time. The developed software can serve as a decision-support tool for investors to predict Ethereum prices over various time ranges from 1 to 30 days or more

Abstract

Teacher attendance is an important part in supporting the smooth running of teaching and learning activities in the school environment. At MTs Al-Azhar Legari, the attendance system that is still manual often causes obstacles such as delays in data recapitulation, inaccurate information, and difficulties in monitoring attendance efficiently. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a web-based teacher attendance system that can improve the effectiveness and accuracy of attendance recording. The system is built using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, which facilitates the centralization of attendance data in real time. The test results show that the developed system is able to run well, provide convenience in managing attendance data, and support transparency and accountability in the school environment. With the presence of this system, it is hoped that the administrative process of teacher attendance at MTs Al-Azhar Legari can be more efficient, integrated, and able to minimize recording errors. In addition, this system can also be used as a basis for development towards a broader and more modern digitization of school administration.
