Abstract

Currently, preaching is no longer limited to being present in a gathering or discussion room directly, but can also be delivered through daring or digital media that has developed rapidly. Preaching through sosial media such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, for example, is often done in cartoon films. The purpose of this studi is to determine the meaning of denotation, connotation also a myth in the animated film CulapCulip. By using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory to analyze or describe the meaning contained in the animated images, the researcher used a descriptive qualitative method. The data collection method used by the researcher was by recording also watching the animated film CulapCulip with the theme of tolerance. The results of this studi indicate that the most appropriate analysis theory to apply in studying a film is Roland Barthes' semiotics. With the aim that the meaning contained in each scene can be easily understood related to the use of denotation, connotation, also myth in the animated film CulapCulip. The researcher studied six scenes including the story of offerings, kicking, until shaking hands to prove it.

Abstract

This study explores the communication experiences of People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) in Bekasi City. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach within the framework of Berger and Luckmann's Social Construction of Reality theory, the research involved seven PLHIV informants undergoing Antiretroviral (ARV) therapy. The findings indicate that PLHIV's communication experiences are highly varied, encompassing positive interactions from immediate family support, peer communities, and healthcare professionals, as well as negative experiences such as stigma and discrimination from the social environment. These communication experiences fundamentally shape the social reality and identity of PLHIV. This study emphasizes that communication, whether positive or negative, plays a crucial role in forming PLHIV's self-perception and social interactions, and highlights the importance of empathetic communication support to reduce stigma and improve their quality of life.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of gamification in calculus learning as an effort to improve students' motivation and understanding. Gamification, which integrates game elements in a non-game context, is expected to create a more engaging and interactive learning experience. The method used in this study was an experiment involving two groups of students, namely a control group using conventional learning methods and an experimental group implementing gamification in the teaching and learning process. The results showed that the application of gamification significantly increased students' learning motivation, which was reflected in increased active participation and enthusiasm in attending lectures. In addition, the analysis of the understanding of calculus concepts also showed positive results, where the experimental group showed higher scores in the evaluation of material understanding compared to the control group. This study concludes that gamification can be an effective strategy in calculus learning, not only to increase motivation but also to deepen students' understanding of the material being taught.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is currently increasingly used in the health sector, including to help determine food choices that are appropriate for a person's physical condition. In this study, we developed a healthy food recommendation system that can read the symptoms felt by users through text, then provide food suggestions based on those conditions. This system uses natural language processing technology with the Stanza library, and applies the Forward Chaining method to draw conclusions from the symptoms given. Uniquely, this system does not require direct personal data, only from the description of symptoms typed by the user. We tested this system using 10 types of diseases and 40 common symptoms, taken from a total of 400 disease and symptom data in the knowledge base. As a result, the system is able to provide accurate recommendations, with a success rate of between 90% and 100%. With this capability, the system is expected to be a practical solution in helping people make healthier decisions regarding their daily food and nutrition.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged local governments to provide digital-based public services through official websites. One of these services is the website of the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) of Buleleng Regency which functions as a medium for transparency and public interaction. However, until now there has been no comprehensive testing of the performance, stress levels, and security of all PPID websites in the district. This study aims to evaluate performance, measure stress levels, and identify security gaps on 26 PPID Implementing websites connected to the Main PPID of Buleleng Regency. The method used in this study is Action Research, with testing carried out using three main tools, namely GTmetrix for performance, K6.io for stress testing, and Owasp Zap Scan for security. The test results showed that several websites experienced loading delays, slow server responses during high loads, and security gaps related to SSL and DNS were found. Recommendations for improvement are focused on optimizing performance, increasing server capacity, and tighter security configurations. This study contributes to improving the quality of public information services and supports the realization of a transparent, efficient, and secure government.

Abstract

This research examines the optimization of social media as a promotional tool for local products through the AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) model in the context of workforce empowerment in Kenep Village, Sukoharjo Regency. This research method is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach, this study focuses on understanding the subjective experiences of batik MSME owners in utilizing digital platforms. The results show that although MSME players have succeeded in creating awareness and interest through visual content, but they still face problems in converting this interest into desire and action. Digital marketing training and mentoring are proven to improve technical capacity and digital literacy, but the effectiveness of digital promotion still needs to be improved to optimally drive sales and empower local labor.

Abstract

Class imbalance in breast cancer imaging often leads to models prioritizing the majority class, reducing sensitivity to actual cancer cases. This study evaluates data augmentation as a class balancing strategy for breast cancer classification using VGG19 with transfer learning. The model was trained and tested in two settings: before and after augmentation, to measure performance improvement. The results show a clear improvement after balancing, with accuracy rising from 94.63% to 97.59%, recall and specificity increasing from about 85.60% to 97.58%, and the F1 score rising from 0.8933 to 0.9759, indicating better balance between precision and recall. Interpretability analysis using Grad-CAM supports this improvement, with activations before augmentation being spread out and sometimes focusing on background artifacts, while the heatmap after augmentation concentrated on the lesion region, indicating that the network learned clinically meaningful features. Overall, the findings demonstrate that targeted augmentation effectively addresses class imbalance, enhances generalization, and improves lesion detection with VGG19. This approach enhances cancer sensitivity while reducing false alarms, supporting its potential for adoption in computer-aided diagnostic pipelines to provide more reliable breast cancer detection in clinical practice.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the level of conformity between the mining plan and its actual implementation in Pit Ks-1 of PT. ABC during the period of April 2025. The evaluation was conducted to determine the level of production achievement and to identify the factors causing discrepancies between the planned design and the actual field conditions. The research employed a descriptive-quantitative method, utilizing mine planning software to analyze and compare the planned mining sequence with the actual progress in the field. The analysis focused on the conformity between the planned mining sequence and the actual pit conditions, as well as the achievement of production targets. The results show that the actual overburden removal reached 872,819 bcm or 89% of the target of 981,990 bcm, while coal production reached 38,130 tons or 54% of the target of 70,000 tons. Based on the evaluation of the mining sequence conformity, the study area was dominated by undercut conditions (insufficient excavation), with a smaller portion of overcut (excess excavation), and several areas that were in plan (aligned with the design). The main factor contributing to the discrepancy between the plan and the actual mining realization was environmental conditions, particularly the high rainfall intensity during the study period. The total rainfall hours exceeded the planned working schedule, resulting in reduced Effective Working Hours (EWH). This condition caused slippery haul roads and flooded pit fronts, which hindered equipment movement and lowered operational productivity.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has profoundly influenced the transformation of marketing communication in the digital era. One of the most significant innovations in recent years is TikTok, a social media platform that has evolved into a powerful marketplace for business actors. This study aims to analyze the digital marketing communication strategy implemented by GreenGO Store through TikTok Shop, using the AIDA theory (Awareness, Interest, Desire, Action) as an analytical framework. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews involving three key informants: the head of digital marketing, TikTok live admin, and online shop admin. The findings reveal that GreenGO’s communication strategy successfully attracts audience attention (awareness) through creative content, fosters interest via two-way interaction during live streaming, creates desire through emotional storytelling and trend-based promotions, and drives purchasing actions through discount strategies and ease of transaction. This strategy not only boosts sales performance but also enhances customer loyalty and strengthens the eco-friendly brand image.
