Abstract

Goatfish (Albalites stellaris) is one of the by-catch that is currently only consumed by filleting while the skin is simply thrown away. However, according to several studies, goatfish skin still has high protein and is used to make gelatin. The current shortage of POC circulating in the market has a silica deficiency so that plants do not have sufficient nutrients. This study aims to examine the silica contained in rice husk ash and how to apply POC with goatfish skin and added rice husk ash to kale plants. The research method used is the nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis Test with the SPPS application version 25, the implementation of the manufacture of POC from goatfish skin waste was analyzed by XRF tests, C (carbon), N (nitrogen), P (phosphorus), K (potassium) levels and application to plants. The results of the study showed that P2 had higher macro and micro nutrient content than P1, especially Potassium (K): 28.76% (P2) vs 14.02% (P1), Calcium (Ca): 31.50% (P2) vs 18.36% (P1), Phosphorus (P): 15.55% (P2) vs 11.93% (P1) Zinc (Zn): 0.65% (P2) vs 0.30% (P1). Although P1 is high in Silicon (40.35%), the main elements that support fast growth and green leaves in kale such as K, P, Fe, and Zn are higher in P2. POC from goat-goat fish skin waste without P2 rice husk ash is superior because the higher content of K, P, Ca, Zn, and Fe is very good for the vegetative growth of kale (fast-growing, wide, fresh green leaves) supports photosynthesis, stem strength, and plant resistance. Waste goat-goat fish skin (Albalistes stellaris) can be utilized as a liquid organic fertilizer using traditional fermentation. The addition of rice husk ash to the liquid organic fertilizer of goat-goat fish skin has an effect on growth. Application to kale plants with a comparison of silica and non-silica is known that the best growth of kale plants is on liquid organic fertilizer containing silica at a dose of 3 m1/L.

Abstract

The Jantho STIK educational forest is an important habitat for the kedih primate species (Presbytis thomasi), the gray langur (Christatus auratus), and the long-tailed macaque (Macaca fascicularis). The destruction of these primate habitats through forest encroachment is also carried out by the community around the educational forest. The conservation status for these three species is listed as vulnerable in the IUCN and Appendix II in CITES. They are protected animals. Habitat disturbance in the form of forest encroachment is often carried out by the community. This encroachment results in a decline in the quality of primate habitats, due to the loss of food sources and the loss of sleeping trees. In order for the protection of primate species and habitats to take place properly, and the economic value of the community can increase with the presence of primates, as well as to suppress the rate of forest encroachment, it can be done by building ecological barriers in the primate habitat. This ecological barrier is basically made to improve the habitat of wildlife that is experiencing fragmentation. In addition, it is to keep wildlife in their home range, and not to leave their habitat into community agricultural areas. The community service was conducted on August 22-24, 2025, at the STIK education forest in Boeng Jantho village. Community service included socialization of ecological barriers, planting vegetation on ecological barriers, mentoring, evaluation and monitoring. The ecological barrier was made in an area of one hectare and planted with types of vegetation that are not favored by primates (pine, sugar palm and candlenut). The community's enthusiasm was quite high to participate in the socialization and planting. The vegetation developed on ecological barriers can control animals from leaving their natural habitat, so that hunting can be suppressed and forest encroachment can decrease.

Abstract

The availability of lime or lemon in Aceh is sufficient, even exceeding household needs, so it can be processed into other innovations for domestic use, such as dishwashing soap. Lime contains various beneficial chemical compounds, including: citric acid, which functions as a chelating agent that helps break down dirt and grease; and limonene, a natural compound that acts as a degreasing agent while also providing a fresh aroma. The innovation of producing organic dishwashing soap is highly needed by the community. Economically, the benefits of this dishwashing soap can help reduce household expenses, allowing families to reallocate their budget to other needs, such as fulfilling nutritional requirements. Environmentally, this eco-friendly dishwashing soap can help preserve water quality by reducing household waste pollution. For lime and suji leaf farmers, this innovation can increase the sales of their agricultural products, thereby boosting cross-sectoral economic growth at the grassroots level.

Abstract

Indonesia, as the largest archipelagic country in the world, possesses abundant fisheries resources, including along the coastal areas of Banda Aceh City. Recreational fishing has become an integral part of local culture while also contributing significantly to the local economy. This study aims to identify strategic recreational fishing locations, the types of bait used, and the composition of fish caught by anglers in the region. The research was conducted from April to May 2025 using a purposive sampling method, with data collected from six key fishing spots: Alue Naga Beach, Syiah Kuala Beach, Lampulo Beach, Kampung Jawa Beach, Ulee Lheue Beach, and Krueng Neng River. Data collection methods included direct observation, interviews with recreational fishers, and field documentation. The results show that the most commonly used bait was fresh shrimp due to its availability and high effectiveness in attracting various fish species. Dominant fish species caught included Baby GT (Caranx ignobilis), Snapper (Lutjanus spp.), Grouper (Epinephelus spp.), Tompel (Selaroides leptolepis), and Kerong (Leiognathus spp.). Beyond its recreational value, fishing activities have also created economic opportunities for local communities through the sale of bait, fishing gear, and food products. This study recommends the development of eco-based recreational fishing tourism to support environmental conservation while enhancing local economic welfare.

Abstract

PP Lambada Lhok is one of the most strategic ports in Aceh, located adjacent to the port of Malahayati, PP Lambada Lhok is directly facing WPP 571 and WPP 572, namely the Strait of Malacca and the Indian Ocean. Despite its strategic location, initial observations of PP Lambada Lhok showed that there were deficiencies in facilities that hindered smooth operations, such as the shallowness of the pond which made it difficult for fishing boats to enter and exit and even potentially paralyzed port operations. In addition, the mooring place is not suitable at the dock and there is a TPI other than PP Lambada Lhok. This research aims to see the existing facilities at Lambada Lhok Fishery Port, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh Province. The results of the research Lambada Lhok fishing port once had the status of a Fish Landing Base (PPI). However, PP Lambada Lhok facilities such as the fish unloading dock, the depth of the port pond and the Fish Auction Place (TPI) need to be improved so that activities at PP Lambada Lhok run normally.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efforts to improve the quality of learning at SD Negeri 6 Kota Banda Aceh based on the evaluation results of the 2025 Education Report. The background of this research is the relatively low learning quality score in the previous year, which indicates the need for strategic interventions and continuous improvement. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies of the 2024 and 2025 Education Reports. The research subjects consist of the school principal, teachers, and education supervisors. The findings show an increase in the learning quality score from 60.87 to 68, with significant improvements in three main indicators: classroom management (from 66.61 to 71.47), psychological support (from 62.54 to 69.17), and teaching methods (from 53.45 to 66). These improvements were achieved through collaborative clinical supervision, teacher capacity building through professional learning communities, and the implementation of student-centered learning strategies. The study’s findings indicate that data-based and collaborative approaches are effective in enhancing the quality of the learning process in primary schools. The conclusion of this research is that the optimal utilization of the Education Report, transformative school leadership, and the active involvement of teachers in professional development can serve as key factors in sustainably improving learning quality.
