Abstract

One of the factors that can affect changes in the capacity of a reservoir is the amount of sedimentation that settles at the bottom of the reservoir. Several reservoirs in Indonesia have experienced shallowing due to sedimentation. The increase in sedimentation rate is caused by high land erosion. Land erosion comes from changes in land use in a River Basin Area. The benefits of the Wlingi Reservoir are as a flood controller of 2.37 m3/s, irrigation supply of 13,600 hectares, as a power plant that can drive the turbine of a PLTA unit with a power of 2 x 27 MW. In this study, land use data comes from ESRI satellite imagery, which differs from previous studies. This study aimed to obtain sediment yield from land use changes in the Brantas Hulu Watershed with Wlingi Reservoir outlet point from 2018 to 2023 and to predict remaining service life of the reservoir. The method used to calculate the erosion rate is USLE, which uses GIS (Geographic Information System) software. The results showed that undisturbed forests dominated land use, and land use changes for 6 years were volatile. The average sediment rate for 6 (six) years was 0.011 mm/year. The predicted service life is that Wlingi Reservoir can only serve for 91 years. These findings highlight the urgency of implementing effective sediment management strategies. Without intervention, sedimentation will reduce the reservoir's capacity to support irrigation and hydropower, impacting regional water management and food security and limiting flood mitigation capabilities in East Java.

Abstract

Information Technology (IT) in the industrial world is an important part in the development of business processes and plays a vital role, including for PT Pamapersada Nusantara. To maintain the continuity of its business process activities, PT Pamapersada Nusantara is aware of the need for continuous control. This control effort is closely related to the increased risk from the application of information technology. Risks that have a negative impact have the potential to threaten the sustainability of the organization's business activities if they reach certain criteria, making it a disaster. This has prompted PT Pamapersada Nusantara to prepare for the possibility of a disaster. The purpose of this activity is to prepare an IT Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP). DRP is a type of contingency plan that includes the preparation and response of an organization in the event of a disaster. The preparation of this DRP is guided by the NIST SP 800-34 framework, which begins with risk identification and assessment, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), identification of preventive controls and preparation of contingency strategies. After these steps have been taken, it is continued with the development of a contingency plan which includes plans for the activation phase, recovery phase and reconstitution phase. The result of this activity is a DRP document that is adapted to the organizational conditions of PT Pamapersada Nusantara. This DRP document contains a service recovery guide along with preventive measures before a disaster occurs. Keywords : disaster, risk, disaster recovery plan, NIST SP 800-34.

Abstract

The paradox of natural resource management is the finding that is the basis for this study. The paradox shows that areas that depend on natural resource management, such as mining and quarrying, have lower scores in supervision, partnerships, and law enforcement scores than areas with no income from mining and quarrying activities. The Qualitative, quantitative comparative analysis (QCA) method is used to find the pathway that causes the paradox in each research area; QCA will provide a general pathway as to why an area has different characteristics from other regions even though they have identical scores and indicators in statistical measurements. As the result, The qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) shows that regional areas with a high composite index score have certain pathway characteristics, such as the high integrity of public employees and the low level of corrupt behavior in the area.

Abstract

Foreign bodies are one of the emergency cases in ENT where 19% of cases are located in the nose, which mostly occurs in children under five years. There are two types of foreign bodies, namely exogenous and endogenous. There are factors that can make it easier for foreign body aspiration such as personal factors, failure of normal protective mechanism, physical factors, incomplete swallowing, psychological factors and the nature of the foreign body. The process of removing foreign objects in the nose requires adequate lighting, caregiver if the patient is less cooperative, the use of cotton tampons, suction, bayonet forceps, alligator forceps and if available a nasal endoscope that is better at imaging and magnifying to identyfing the exact pathological condition.
