Abstract

This study explores the political ideology of Imam al-Mawardi as presented in "Al-Ahkam as- Sulthaniyyah" and its relevance to contemporary politics in Indonesia. The aim of the research is to understand how al-Mawardi's proposed political principles can be applied in the context of modern leadership. Utilizing text analysis through historical and anthropological approaches, the study evaluates the political movement initiated by al-Mawardi. The findings indicate that every leader must meet six essential criteria according to al-Mawardi: embracing and integrating religion as a moral force, possessing charismatic leadership qualities, ensuring fair treatment for all individuals, guaranteeing equal protection for everyone, promoting sustainable land productivity, and providing people with hope for their survival. These six characteristics are considered highly relevant for effective leadership in Indonesia, demonstrating that al-Mawardi's principles can offer valuable guidance for modern leaders.

Abstract

Packaging design, particularly color and shape, plays a crucial role in shaping consumer perceptions and emotional responses toward a product, ultimately influencing purchasing decisions. With advances in neuromarketing technology, the use of electroencephalography (EEG) enables researchers to objectively analyze how the brain responds to various visual elements in packaging, including levels of engagement and emotions evoked. This study aims to examine the impact of packaging color and shape on consumers' emotional responses using EEG, providing insights for companies in designing more effective packaging to attract attention and enhance consumer preferences. A qualitative descriptive method was employed to understand the influence of color and shape on consumer emotions. Data were collected through documentation, including observation notes, interview transcripts, video recordings, and literature reviews related to neuromarketing and packaging design. Thematic analysis was used to identify patterns of emotional responses, offering in-depth insights into how visual packaging elements affect consumer purchasing decisions. The findings indicate that color and shape play a significant role in eliciting emotional responses that influence consumer preferences and purchasing decisions. Bright and contrasting colors tend to attract attention and evoke positive emotions, while ergonomic and unique packaging shapes enhance emotional engagement and perceived product quality. This study confirms that visual packaging elements contribute to consumers' sensory and psychological experiences, which can be leveraged in marketing strategies to increase product appeal

Abstract

Student identification cards (KTM) are currently vulnerable to fraudulent activities and counterfeiting, including replay attacks. KTMs have several functions, such as providing access to parking areas, lecture buildings, libraries, and student attendance systems. Replay attacks allow attackers to falsify student attendance and gain unauthorized access to campus facilities. Therefore, the main objective of this Final Project is to enhance the security of KTMs by implementing a security system based on Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and rolling code to prevent replay attacks. The method used involves encrypting data on KTMs using the AES-128 algorithm and applying rolling code in the KTM security system. The test results show that the implementation of a security system based on AES-128 encryption and rolling code on KTMs can enhance the security and authenticity of KTMs and prevent fraudulent activities and counterfeiting, including card duplication. Thus, this Final Project provides a solution to improve KTM security and offers significant benefits for KTM users.

Abstract

The consumerism phenomenon in K-Pop culture has reshaped cultural consumption into productive economic activities, particularly among millennial female fans. Initially perceived as highly consumptive, K-Pop fangirls allocate significant financial resources to acquiring idol-related products, often influenced by social media competition within the fandom. The desire to be recognized as ‘loyal fans’ drives them to continuously purchase merchandise and other K-Pop-related items. However, many millennial fangirls have undergone a transformation, evolving into entrepreneurs who generate substantial profits and create employment opportunities. This study examines this shift through a review of 109 literature sources from 2008 to 2024, using Bourdieu’s Social Capital Theory to analyze how fangirls leverage social networks and cultural knowledge to develop businesses. Their ventures fall into three main categories: product-based enterprises (merchandise and handmade items), service-based businesses (concert ticketing and tourism), and digital content services. Key success factors include effective digital platform utilization, strong community engagement, and cultural competence, while challenges involve operational complexities and business sustainability. This transformation represents a new entrepreneurial model that integrates fan passion, digital expertise, and community engagement, paving the way for sustainable business opportunities. The findings provide valuable insights into digital entrepreneurship, demonstrating how cultural enthusiasm can drive business innovation and suggesting new pathways for entrepreneurship based on fandom-driven economic activities.

Abstract

This study focuses on analyzing the performance and optimizing the response time in handling fiber cut disruptions using a proactive website monitoring system to improve network operational efficiency. Fiber optic networks are critical infrastructure in telecommunication services; however, frequent fiber cut incidents can disrupt connectivity and affect service quality. The research employs a quantitative approach with descriptive and comparative analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of proactive monitoring systems. Data from fiber cut incidents in Kalimantan, covering periods before (September–October) and after (November–December) proactive monitoring implementation, were analyzed. Results indicate a significant improvement in operational efficiency, achieving 72.77% efficiency, primarily due to a reduction in response time by 70.83%. However, the resolution time increased by 33.70%, attributed to factors such as team adaptation, complexity of incidents, and external conditions like weather. The Root Cause Analysis (RCA) identified primary disruption causes: multiple cuts, animal interference, government activity, and vandalism. The proactive monitoring system significantly enhanced the detection and response to incidents, demonstrating its potential as a critical tool in network management.

Abstract

The capital market is an effective means to accelerate national development through long-term fundraising that is channeled to the productive sector. Companies that go public reflect their value through the price of the shares traded, thus attracting investors to invest capital in order to achieve maximum returns. This study focuses on the influence of company performance on stock returns as measured using financial ratios such as ROA, PER, QAI, DER, NPM, EPS, and EVA on telecommunications sector companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2017–2021. In addition, the implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)-based investments is also the main highlight in increasing company value in a sustainable manner. ESG encourages transparency and corporate sustainability in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The results show that the company's performance measured by various financial ratios has a diverse relationship with stock returns, indicating the need for an integrated strategy between financial performance and company sustainability to attract investors while increasing the company's competitiveness in the capital market.

Abstract

Pentecostal spirituality possesses unique characteristics that emphasize direct experiences with the Holy Spirit, including manifestations of spiritual gifts such as speaking in tongues and healing. The Pentecostal Church has rapidly grown in Indonesia, attracting many people with its dynamic spiritual approach that aligns with local cultural values. However, the application of this spirituality in evangelism faces challenges, especially in the context of a multicultural and multi-religious society. Overly expressive approaches may be perceived as foreign by communities with different cultural backgrounds, necessitating adjustments in evangelistic methods to enhance acceptance. This study employs qualitative methods to explore the distinctiveness of Pentecostal spirituality and its implementation within the Indonesian context. The findings indicate that while this spirituality holds significant appeal, the church must maintain a balance between preserving its spiritual identity and adapting to reach a broader audience. By understanding the social and cultural context, the Pentecostal Church is expected to be more effective in its evangelistic mission in Indonesia.
