Abstract

One of the adverse drug reactions that occur in patients who receive treatment therapy is drug side effects. Statins are the first choice in cholesterol-lowering therapy. Although statins are safe and well tolerated, they have the potential for side effects. The purpose of this study is to determine the prevalence of adverse drug reactions, the incidence of adverse drug reactions that occur, and the probability score of adverse drug reactions based on the Naranjo Algorithm instrument in patients with inpatient atherosclerosis cardiovascular disease who use statin therapy at RSUI. The method used in this study is a prospective observational descriptive method with observation through patient interviews and medical record data collection as well as causality analysis using the Naranjo Algorithm. The results of this study were obtained from 116 patients who used statin therapy in the RSUI inpatient room in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Of the 116 patients, as many as 14 patients (12.07%) experienced adverse drug reactions statins. Adverse drug reactions felt included shoulder pain (3.40%), nausea (2.60%), muscle pain (1.70%), blurred vision, difficulty sleeping, chest palpitations, joint pain, dizziness and body aches as much as 0.9% each. The total probability score of the Naranjo algorithm is a probable score of 5-8 in 7 patients (50%) and a possible score of 1-4 (50%).

Abstract

The rise of social media, particularly Instagram, has transformed consumer behavior and marketing strategies in the fashion industry. This study aims to analyze the influence of social influence, influencer credibility, and parasocial relationships on brand credibility and purchase intention of fashion products on Instagram. Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey method, data were collected from 260 active Instagram users in Greater Jakarta who follow at least one fashion influencer. Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach was employed to examine the relationships between variables. The results indicate that influencer credibility, social influence, and parasocial relationships have a significant positive effect on brand credibility, which in turn influences purchase intention. Parasocial relationships also directly enhance purchase intention. These findings highlight the crucial role of emotional connection and perceived credibility in shaping consumer behavior on social media. The study provides practical implications for fashion marketers in selecting influencers and developing engagement strategies to boost brand trust and consumer intention to purchase. Further research is suggested to explore other social platforms and additional influencing variables.

Abstract

Acquiring a significant understanding of customer behavior, particularly in the decision-making process related to material in the metaverse, is crucial for developing efficient digital marketing strategies. This study employs the notion of the entangled brain as its primary theoretical foundation. This study investigates the influence of the brain's intricate, non-linear, and mutually reinforcing processes on consumer decision-making while also considering determinism, libertarianism, and compatibility. This study suggests that decision outcomes exhibit unpredictability akin to quantum processes by emphasizing the parallels between quantum entanglement and brain activity. Accordingly, this study emphasizes the challenges of predicting human behavior, especially in emerging technologies like the metaverse, where uncertainty can highly occur. Thus, this study offers a theoretical framework combining deterministic and probabilistic perspectives and useful insights about understanding consumer behavior in dynamic digital environments. This study improves our understanding of decision-making processes, emphasizing the significance of adaptable strategies for navigating complex consumer settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the effect of dividend payout ratio and winner/loser stock on profit equalization (Case study on the banking sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2021). The research method uses a qualitative approach with the Associative method. This study uses manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2021 as the population. The sample that met the Purposive Sampling criteria was 29 companies out of 145 companies. The results show that the dividend payout ratio has no significant effect o profit equalization. Meanwhile, winner/loser stock has a significant effect on profit leveling. The dividend payout ratio and winner/loser stock simultaneously have a significant effect on profit equalization. This is evidenced by a p-value of 0.000 which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05. Meanwhile, the determination coefficient test showed a value of 25%. This shows that the variable dividend payout ratio and winner/loser stock can explain the profit equalization variable as much as 25%, while the remaining 75% is explained by other variables outside of this study.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of maintaining the neutrality of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in elections and elections in Indonesia as well as the argument for abolishing ASN's right to vote as a form of affirmative action to maintain the integrity of democracy. Under Law No. 20 of 2023 on ASN, ASN has the right to vote as a citizen, yet neutrality violations are common, with many ASNs engaging in practical politics, either due to pressure from superiors or to advance personal careers. These violations undermine democratic principles that require elections to be conducted honestly, fairly, and without intimidation. In practice, sanctions against violations of ASN neutrality are still weak, which opens space for abuse of authority in politics. For this reason, the author proposes the elimination of ASN's right to vote as *affirmative action* to ensure the sustainability of democracy that is clean from political intervention. Although this elimination only has a small impact on the number of Permanent Voter Lists (DPT), it will improve the quality of Indonesian democracy by reducing the potential for manipulation by unscrupulous ASNs. In this context, the debate about the voting rights of non-TNI/Polri ASNs is irrelevant because all ASNs have the potential to violate neutrality. The author supports the discourse on the elimination of ASN's voting rights for the sake of creating elections with better quality and integrity.

Abstract

The maritime boundary dispute between Kenya and Somalia is one example of the rise of maritime disputes over natural resources. The dispute, which stems from different interpretations of boundaries in the Indian Ocean, has attracted the attention of the entire international community, especially on the African continent. In 2014, Somalia filed a lawsuit against Kenya in the International Court of Justice regarding the delimitation of maritime boundaries between the two coastal states. The International Court of Justice examined the basis of Somalia's lawsuit in proposing the settlement of the dispute. This study aims to determine the maritime zone boundary between Kenya and Somalia according to UNCLOS 1982, to determine the role of the International Court of Justice in resolving the dispute and to determine the legal impact of the International Court of Justice Decision regarding the maritime dispute between Kenya and Somalia. The research method used is normative law research with a statutory approach and a case approach. The results showed that the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea divided the maritime zone as inland waters, territorial sea, exclusive economic zone, and continental shelf. The International Court of Justice played an important role in determining the maritime boundary between Kenya and Somalia. The International Court of Justice's ruling has had a significant impact on the two countries' deteriorating bilateral relations, increasingly tense political relations, as well as impacting the security and socio-economic sectors in the East African region.
