Abstract

Aspirin, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), is widely used for its analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory effects but may cause adverse effects, including hepatotoxicity. Lipid peroxidation can disrupt red blood cell function, countered by antioxidant enzymes like catalase (CAT), which is highly concentrated in the liver. This study examines the effect of golden sea cucumber (Stichopus hermanii) extract on hepatic CAT levels in aspirin-induced rats. A laboratory experiment used 24 male Wistar rats (2-3 months old, 150-200 g), divided into four groups: K1 (control, standard feed), K2 (aspirin 250 mg/kgBW), K3 (sea cucumber extract 97.2 mg/200gBW + aspirin 250 mg/kgBW), and K4 (sea cucumber extract 194.4 mg/200gBW + aspirin 250 mg/kgBW). Hepatic CAT levels were measured, yielding averages of K1 = 534.86 U/mg, K2 = 525.76 U/mg, K3 = 621.33 U/mg, and K4 = 565.24 U/mg. Normality and homogeneity tests confirmed data distribution assumptions. One-way ANOVA analysis showed no significant difference (p = 0.362, p > 0.05) between groups, indicating that golden sea cucumber extract did not significantly affect hepatic CAT levels in aspirin-induced rats. In conclusion, while Stichopus hermanii extract slightly increased CAT levels in some groups, the effect was not statistically significant. Further research is needed to explore alternative mechanisms or dosages that may enhance the hepatoprotective role of sea cucumber extract against aspirin-induced toxicity.

Abstract

The Yos Sudarso arterial road, a critical ring road connecting industrial zones and ports in Central Java, experiences high accident rates (averaging 6 accidents/month from 2019 to 2022). Despite its economic significance, inadequate traffic signage and complex topography contribute to recurring accidents, necessitating a targeted safety analysis. This study investigates (1) the correlation between road complementary devices (e.g., traffic signs) and accident rates, and (2) the relationship between traffic volume and accident frequency, with a focus on high-risk vehicle groups. Field surveys and spatial analysis were conducted to evaluate road conditions, signage compliance, and accident hotspots. Data from 262 accidents were analyzed alongside traffic volume measurements and road equipment assessments. Key results include: (1) A strong correlation between insufficient traffic signs and accident occurrence, and (2) An inverse relationship between traffic volume and accidents, with Group 1 vehicles (e.g., cargo trucks) identified as most vulnerable. While compliant with regulations, road geometries revealed blind spots due to median vegetation. The study advocates for enhanced signage and ITS integration (e.g., adaptive signals) to mitigate accidents. It also calls for dedicated lanes for high-risk vehicles and further research into behavioral factors underlying the traffic volume paradox. These findings contribute to evidence-based policies for arterial road safety in urban-industrial corridors.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan Islamic Boarding School in Tegal Regency has a strate-gic role in shaping the character of the young generation through superior programs based on the Quran. This study aims to analyze the contribution of motivation to mem-orize the Quran to the formation of the disciplined character of students in this Islamic boarding school. The study used a qualitative approach with data obtained through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that programs such as Dauroh Tahfidz and the memorization cadre program play an im-portant role in training students to maintain consistency, responsibility, and time man-agement. The motivation of students is driven by sincere intentions because of Allah SWT, parental encouragement, and intensive guidance from tahfidz teachers through a creative and supportive approach. In addition to memorizing the Quran, students are also trained through extracurricular activities to reduce boredom and support educa-tional balance. This program not only produces competent hafidz, but also forms a strong Islamic character. This study provides a new contribution to the study of religion-based character education, especially in the Muhammadiyah Islamic boarding school environment. Thus, the motivation to memorize the Quran is proven to be an important instrument in the formation of the disciplined character of students who are oriented towards spiritual values and morality.

Abstract

The management of the Guyup Rupa 10 Exhibition at Semarang State University faces challenges in organizing, implementing, and evaluating an art event that meets increasing expectations for quality and audience engagement. Despite its significance in fostering student creativity and public appreciation, structured studies on university-level exhibition management remain limited. This study aims to analyze the planning, execution, and evaluation of the Guyup Rupa 10 Exhibition while identifying supporting and inhibiting factors. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through literature studies and analyzed systematically. The results reveal that successful exhibition management relies on strong teamwork, institutional support, adequate facilities, effective promotion, and public involvement. Conversely, budget constraints, coordination issues, limited visitor participation, and insufficient resources hinder optimal implementation. The findings emphasize the importance of comprehensive project management strategies to enhance future exhibitions. This research provides practical insights for improving art exhibition management in academic contexts and contributes to the broader discourse on integrating educational, artistic, and community interests.

Abstract

A productive and competent entrepreneur is needed in a business. The entrepreneur's performance plays an important role in the business's success. The existence of self-characteristics, such as self-leadership, self-efficacy, and good entrepreneurial commitment, will build the entrepreneur's performance more optimally. This study aims to analyse the role of entrepreneurial commitment in mediating the influence of self-leadership and self-efficacy on entrepreneurial performance in the Badung Regency Car Repair Industry. Sampling in this study used the saturated sample method, involving 42 entrepreneurs in the Badung Regency car repair industry. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The data analysis method used was Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with SmartPLS 4.1 software. The research results show that self-leadership and entrepreneurial commitment positively affect entrepreneurial performance. Self-efficacy does not affect entrepreneurial performance. Self-leadership and self-efficacy have a positive effect on entrepreneurial commitment. Entrepreneurial commitment partially mediates the influence of self-leadership on entrepreneurial performance and fully mediates the influence of self-efficacy on entrepreneurial performance. This study concludes that with strong self-leadership and self-efficacy, entrepreneurs will be able to increase their entrepreneurial commitment, ultimately improving their performance. Therefore, entrepreneurs need to maintain and develop their self-characteristics and entrepreneurial commitment to improve their performance sustainably.

Abstract

Major depressive disorder (MDD) and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) are prevalent mental health conditions often treated with antidepressants, including SSRIs, SNRIs, tricyclic antidepressants, and benzodiazepines. However, abrupt discontinuation or rapid dose reduction of these medications can lead to withdrawal syndromes, ranging from somatic symptoms like dizziness and nausea to psychological effects such as mood swings and suicidal thoughts. This study examines withdrawal events associated with various antidepressants, emphasizing the need for effective health management strategies. The research aims to review withdrawal symptoms across antidepressant classes, identify high-risk medications, and explore alternative tapering methods such as hyperbolic dose reduction. A systematic literature review analyzed clinical studies, case reports, and patient surveys to evaluate withdrawal prevalence, symptom severity, and duration. Findings indicate that short half-life antidepressants (e.g., paroxetine, venlafaxine) pose elevated withdrawal risks, with symptoms persisting from weeks to years. Hyperbolic tapering demonstrated reduced severity in cases like escitalopram withdrawal. Persistent post-withdrawal disorders, including post-SSRI sexual dysfunction (PSSD), were documented. The research underscores the importance of structured discontinuation protocols and clinician awareness in mitigating withdrawal effects within healthcare systems. Implications highlight the necessity for evidence-based clinical guidelines on antidepressant tapering and enhanced patient education initiatives to prevent non-compliance and abrupt cessation. Future research should investigate long-term outcomes of withdrawal management strategies in diverse care settings.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the influence of Content Marketing, Celebrity Endorser and Testimonials on Consumer Brand Awareness at Eighteen Coffee Sukajadi. In general, the influence of content marketing, celebrity endorsements and testimonials on consumer brand awareness can vary depending on various factors, such as consumer tastes and preferences. By using quantitative methods and a survey approach, the results of this research show that the influence of Content Marketing, Celebrity Endorser and Testimonials on Consumer Brand Awareness at Eighteen Coffee Sukajadi is not very significant because only the testimonial variable has a positive value, while Content Marketing and Celebrity Endorser have a negative value. This then emphasizes that the role of Testimonials in the current digital era is still quite influential. Even though the trend in marketing strategies continues to develop towards more advanced ones, such as Content Marketing and Celebrity Endorser, in fact, testimonials that are considered simpler actually have more influence.
